Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.
Throughout this plan, we will memorize Nehemiah 13:22b, a reminder of God’s heart towards us as we seek to obey Him. This week, memorize the first half.
Remember me for this also, my God, and look on me with compassion according to the abundance of your faithful love.
—Nehemiah 13:22b

“…the abundance of your unfailing love….” That is for us, sisters. We can rest in that today. Have a blessed Sunday.❤️
I struggled with this verse for a moment, unworthiness flooding over me. until I focused on His compassion. Love you, Jesus.
GM ladies. I read the whole chapter for context. The people had already gone back to their evil ways and Nehemiah had to set them straight again. He purified the temple, reestablished the Sabbath as well as the work of the Levites in the temple. Each time he asked God to remember him for his work and to show him mercy and favor. After all the rebuilding he had done, there was still more to do because the hearts of the people had not changed. Things looked good on the outside (walls rebuilt, temple rebuilt) but on the inside not so much. Makes me think of my marriage. Anyone looking in from the outside would think we didn’t have any problems but in all honesty, we are struggling. After years of my husband’s undiagnosed ADHD, I am having a hard time letting go of resentment and anger. Now that I am learning more about it, I can see many of the issues we have with communication are directly related to how our brains work differently. He has always been super sensitive and for so many years I felt I had to walk on eggshells and not state my needs because he would take it personally. After a while, I just stopped trying because it was easier than fighting. All that did was build up more and more resentment. Now I’m learning about RSD (rejection sensitivity dysmorphia) – and that people with ADHD are prone to have it. So it explains a lot of his reactions, but now he wants to use it as a crutch. He wants me to accept that this is the way he is bc of his dx, but he isn’t willing to take action and get couseling/coaching. Wow, I had not planned on sharing all of this, but God had other plans for me this morning. Have a blessed Sunday!
❤️we are here for you Tami
Praying, Tami ❤️, that your husband would have the courage for him and y’all to seek professional help. Men are so stubborn – so many are against asking help of any kind, not even directions. I don’t understand it and spend a lot of time laying things down, praying and working to get past my irritation. Our relationship could be so much richer ….
TAMI, that’s a LOT! Thanks for sharing your burden as some of us have similar experiences.
.
Agreeing in that prayer, SEARCHING, …AND your following comment! ❤❤❤
.
I have to remind myself:
Prayer changes things.
Prayer changes me.
Thank you for sharing Tami. What a challenge. Have prayed for you….patience, grace, sensitive & effective, well received communication & conversation, open & willing hearts to seek good tools & supports. ❤️
Tami you described my nephew to a “t”. He is hypersensitive. Taking offense so often. It has become better in the way of him asking if I’m upset with him. Usually because we haven’t talked in a few days. (We are wildly close, like a second son/mom) I see him doing the work. Recognizing how he is. He will start a conversation with “It’s probably me, but are we okay?” It has been very helpful for me that he recognizes this and is working on it. I pray your husband will be willing to do the same and let go of the crutch.
Tami….so glad you shared with us. Yes, we are here for YOU. Praying your husband will take action not only for himself but for you as well.
With Nehemiah ‘out of town’ the people forgot their vow and reverted to past sins. Nehemiah came back to some serious issues! This commentary by Wiersbe is a reminder to pray fervently for our pastors and all church leadership:
“For the enemy to capture leadership doesn’t take long, and too often the people will blindly follow their leaders in the path of compromise and disobedience.”

Guve Us Clean Hands bt Kutless came to mind (partial lyrics):
We bow our hearts, we bend our knees
Oh Spirit, come make us humble
We turn our eyes from evil things
Oh Lord, we cast down our idols
So give us clean hands, give us pure hearts
Let us not lift our souls to another
Give us clean hands, give us pure hearts
Let us not lift our souls to another
.
Love, hugs, and prayers! May we truly worship Him today. ❤
Thank you, CEE GEE ❤️, the need for God fearing and God following leaders on bended knees is far reaching.
Amen! ❤
Amen Cee Gee, great song reminder, and Amen as well to Searching

You can see this happening with pastors in churches. We need to pray!
Amen! ❤
Have a beautiful Sunday She’s!

Same to you! I read your comment from yesterday today. I was the same. When I was left by husband #2, I was on my face to God. It really changed my relationship with Him.
Love you Rhonda J!
