Psalm 8:3-4

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

For this plan, we are memorizing our key passage, Psalm 8:3–4. We will continue with the final line.

When I observe your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you set in place,
what is a human being that you remember him,
a son of man that you look after him?
—Psalm 8:3–4

    I just love how God’s word points back to itself. We are studying Psalms in Bible study on Sunday mornings and today was Psalm 19. I had to tell my class that we studied Ezekiel this week and it coincided with Psalm 19 especially in verse 10b where David says “Sweeter also than honey and the drippings from the honeycomb.”
    Ezekiel 3:3b “and I ate it and it was sweet as honey in my mouth.”

    Happy Sunday sweet SRT ladies.

      Same here! I don’t teach, but I was awestruck by the timing! ❤

    Thank you so much for the prayers and wisdom. A body camera is not a bad idea… I don’t really know what to do but I am asking God for wisdom and covering in all of this since He is allowing it ….
    I really appreciate your extra covering. ❤️❤️❤️

    Good morning sweet She’s on this BEAUTIFUL cool (for now) Sunday! My first comment needed to be for our sweet Michelle (below). It was important before I made my own comment. TODAY, this morning, in a couple of hours, MY Jesus has answered a prayer that I’ve been praying for a long time, BUT GOD…My God knew that this morning would be the day. This morning I will going to church with my kids where my daughter has made the decision to be baptized!! Yes, baptized! My friends and I have been praying for Alyssa to make her own decision without pressure and here she is today making that decision! God is good! Please pray as she is nervous. They had asked all who are getting baptized to give their testimony, but she chose a question and answer platform. WE were talking about it yesterday as tears rolled down her face as she will be mentioning some hard things and feels embarrassed, BUT I told her, her testimony could very well help someone else who needs to hear what she’s been through to give them “hope” My mama’s heart hurts with hers, BUT I know that know OUR JESUS goes before her!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Oh that’s so great that they are asked to give their short testimony or answer questions. I kinda get frustrated with our procedure of rushing them through!! I think it is so important to relish and enjoy that monumental moment!! Although you have already received Jesus, to be dipped down, washed clean symbolically, and risen anew as in Christ…well it is BIG!! And is a mamma’s proudest moment! The world celebrated worldly things, but we know Jesus is the ONLY thing that matters and everything else comes after!! Hallelujah!! So happy for Alissa!! My son chose at 15 to get baptized, and I did as well because I had never been emerged! That was 10 years ago! I pray all the time he will re-prioritize what is important.

      So happy for you friend! It is good to share it with other moms. Great way to bring up conversation! I often think when your talking about school and your kiddos how it wasn’t too long ago you were in a job you disliked and we were praying for you! God has heard you and placed you where you are flourishing!! Thank you God!

      1. Mari V says:

        Aw….. Rhonda thank you for your sweet and kind words! Love you my sweet friend. We are here now waiting for the service to start.

        1. Cee Gee says:

          Praying now, Mari, that this day will live in Alyssa’s memories as one of her best days! Hugs to both of you!!! ❤

    2. Wendy B says:

      Praise the Lord for His faithfulness in your daughter’s life and her obedience to fulfill this commitment. Christ be magnified ✝️

And for the owners to OPEN their eyes! Praying there will soon be a resolution. God sees, He knows. ❤️

  15. Rachel says:

    Good morning She’s! I would love your prayers, as we found out yesterday that my sweet FIL passed away unexpectedly. He had not called us for our normal Sat lunch FaceTime visit and wasn’t answering when we called him, so my husband asked my BIL (who lives in the same town) to go check on him. My BIL and niece found him on the floor, already with Jesus. We will head there today to make arrangements. Please pray for my BIL and niece and their trauma, as well as my husband and all of us in our grief. So grateful for you all.❤️

    1. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

      So sorry for your loss Rachel. Praying for your BIL, Husband, niece and for the family.

    2. Wendy B says:

      So sorry for this unexpected loss. May God’s comfort and peace surround you all.

    3. Rhonda J. says:

      Oh Rachael, so sorry for this sad loss, and for the BIL and niece that found him. Prayers in the coming days, that you cherish his memory and share the glory of our Father God in the hard.

    POSTING HERE IN DUPLICATE:
    Michelle, I hate to hear this! I agree with SEARCHING and KELLY (on Grace Day comments) about documentation. You have witnesses, but it appears the owners aren’t listening.
    Do they owe this man something? Is he holding something over them that makes them look the other way?
    .

    Please be careful! Don’t assume he won’t turn violent-again. You will remain in my prayers for divine guidance and protection! Love you, lil sis and appreciate this update. I had reached out to you a few days ago and was concerned not hearing from you! ❤❤❤

    .

    The majesty and glory of His Name! The old anthem just came to me! A gift! ❤ I mentioned it recently but didn’t research for it.
    .The Majesty and Glory if Your Name
    Tom Fettke
    When I gaze into the night skies
    and see the work of your fingers;
    The moon and stars suspended in space.

    Oh, what is man that you are mindful of him?
    You have given man a crown of glory and honor,
    And have made him a little lower than the angels.
    You have put him in charge of all creation:
    beasts of the field, The birds of the air,
    The fish of the sea.
    Oh, what is man?
    Oh, what is man that you are mindful of him?

    O Lord, our God the majesty and glory of your name
    Transcends the earth and fills the heavens.
    O Lord, our God; little children praise You perfectly,
    And so would we.
    And so would we.

    Alleluia! Alleluia!
    .
    Have a beautiful day of worship, Shes! ❤ Love, hugs, and prayers!

  19. Rhonda J. says:

    There’s Kelly Neo and Searching! I couldn’t post first and disrupt the normal order, lol.

    I had to read more Psalms, today’s just wasn’t enough of God’s great words. They were the ones of David feeling vulnerable and afraid, yet he knew His God heard and would be there. That He was the might God in charge of the heavens and the earth, yet sees and is working for those that call on His name.
    When we feel alone and forgotten, He sees us. He is listening. It is only for a season for us to press in and seek Him and stay steadfast. Through the valleys as on the mountaintops.
    May I praise you in the storms Lord, in the fire, facing the Giants and the lions. You are always there, never forsaken me. For joy will come in the morning. Hold fast.

    1. Indiana Elaine says:

      Thank you so much for your encouraging words today. I needed to hear them. I am in so much pain and in tears today from the sciatica. The exercises I have been doing that brought relief no longer work. I plan to go to the ortho walkin clinic tomorrow and sit there until I get some help. I can barely walk anymore. Your words are better than all the pain meds I’m taking. Thank you, my friend.

      1. Searching says:

        Praying, praying, praying! I have been in similar sciatic pain before having surgery 10 years ago, literally crawling because my legs would collapse from the pain. Praying for relief and long term solution!

        1. Indiana Elaine says:

          It seems like the longer it goes, the less mobility I have. It is scaring me. Did the surgery help? Don’t know if I said this before, but the CT scan showed that the discs at L4 and L5 are pretty much gone. That is where the sciatic nerve exits the spine thus explaining the pain. They are trying to open that space with physical therapy. So far, no luck.

      2. Rhonda J. says:

        Oh Elaine, I prayed for you right now and will keep wearing out the Father’s ear today. I know it is a sharp piercing pain with every movement. Try to lay down if you can, knees bent, for the day and every so often gently move your knee back and forth (slowly) from there, keeping your feet anchored close to you.
        God relieve this pain in our dear sister’s hip, we pray, you are the Healer. Let meditation of your word roll off her lips, and keep you anchored and centered above the pain. We will sing your praises, (she may be crying out in Pain, but singing to you Lord, to see her, and decrease this hurting.) In Jesus name. amen.

        1. Cee Gee says:

          ❤Amen!

        2. Indiana Elaine says:

          Thank you, Rhonda, for that sweet prayer. The tears are streaming!! I will copy and read it often. The pain was so bad this morning I could not do that exercise. It is one of three I do before I get out of bed. After a heating pad, fortified with all the pain meds, a hot shower, I was able to do some of the exercises!!

      3. Cee Gee says:

        Agreeing in prayer! ❤

        1. Indiana Elaine says:

          Thank you!❤️

  20. Kelly (NEO) says:

    We are but dust animated by His breath. Selah.
    .
    Psalm 84
    “How lovely is your dwelling place,
    Lord of Armies.
    I long and yearn
    for the courts of the Lord;
    my heart and flesh cry out for the living God.

    Even a sparrow finds a home,
    and a swallow, a nest for herself
    where she places her young—
    near your altars, Lord of Armies,
    my King and my God.
    How happy are those who reside in your house,
    who praise you continually.Selah

    Happy are the people whose strength is in you,
    whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
    As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
    they make it a source of spring water;
    even the autumn rain will cover it with blessings.
    They go from strength to strength;
    each appears before God in Zion.

    Lord God of Armies, hear my prayer;
    listen, God of Jacob.Selah
    Consider our shield, God;
    look on the face of your anointed one.

    Better a day in your courts
    than a thousand anywhere else.
    I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
    than live in the tents of wicked people.
    For the Lord God is a sun and shield.
    The Lord grants favor and honor;
    he does not withhold the good
    from those who live with integrity.
    Happy is the person who trusts in you,
    Lord of Armies!”
    .
    Enjoy your worship with God’s people today!

    MICHELLE P – praying for wisdom, courage and strength. Adding to SEARCHING’s thoughts. Would you consider having your phone out, video recording every interaction with him? Or buy a body camera ($27 at Wal-Mart) or borrow a gocam?
