Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
For this plan, we are memorizing our key passage, Psalm 8:3–4. We will continue with the fourth line.
When I observe your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you set in place,
what is a human being that you remember him,
a son of man that you look after him?
—Psalm 8:3–4

Amen. Such an eye opening scripture.

THIS is my favorite time of year! Starting next week (I have one more week of school), I will ENJOY my quiet time out in the front porch! Rhonda…I enjoyed reading your comment about sitting out on the porch in the evenings. At the place I once called home, there was never that opportunity to sit out on the front porch, BUT here where I now call home, my parents home, they have a porch. During the summer, especially early mornings, I enjoy the quietness of a NEW day, the sun rising, the beautiful music of birds singing which I believe they are singing to their Creator, neighbors (mainly older couples) passing by for the morning walks on the trail. There is something about a “NEW” day. There were many many times when the NEW day brought me hope and mainly “relief” as if my JESUS was telling me and I’m sure HE WAS that everything was going to be Okay. HE, my Father God, my Jesus, remembered me! God is good!
Yes, I love my mornings on my front porch listening to the birds!:) A new day of hope, Amen.
Good Son-Day Morning
God in His magnificence …
Imbues any significance.
And in His pleasure…
Creates His people, His treasure.
Praise be the Lord.
❤️
Amen. So grateful Lord. Amen
The beautiful song, “How great is our God” immediately comes to mind.
Sunday blessings SRT sisters.❤️

I always think of the choir anthem from this verse that we sang many, many years ago. I only remember that first sentence with the music, though. ☺☺☺
.
I live Kelly’s comment about God’s attention to detail (like decorating our Christmas trees)!
I was admiring a Purple Coneflower in my yard recently and noticed a detail I hadn’t seen before. There was a center row of yellow that reminded me of a crown! How often do we miss the ‘little things’ – seems we’ve asked that question here recently! Lol ☺ ❤ God is like that, to. We can’t just admire/praise Him ‘from a distance’. We have to get really close to know all the little things He wants us to pay attention to.
.
Psalm 1 is the text of our Sunday School lesson today:
1.Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the Lord,
meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.
.
Love hugs, and prayers! ❤
Coneflowers already?! I miss my garden up north. All the perennials that came up in order from Spring to Fall. It was amazing!! I loved to water them. My husband would offer to water…because it would literally take an hour to go around with the hose a few times a week. But I loved it. And like you, looking at the details. Here in SWF…I love the always green, and there are seasonal changes but harder to recognize. We need to post some “garden” pictures today of FB page!
❤
Thank you, CEE GEE ❤️

“We have to get really close to know all the little things He wants us to pay attention to.”
Ah…an “awe” moment, CG!!
❤
That first line “when I OBSERVE your heavens”-
The problem is most people don’t ever observe around them and take time to ponder his wonders! We are too preoccupied. If we have downtime..we put our phone in front of us to distract any time to actually think and look.
His creation is awe-inspiring, breathtaking, majestic!
I grew up in a time where the front porch was the gathering spot after long working days and a good dinner…you go out and be together and just be. We have hundreds of photos on the swing. Every house I’ve had, a swing went up on the porch. But the neighbors that walked by got fewer and fewer. The impromptu conversations dropped severely to few and none. I miss the old days.
Take time to smell the roses, watch the sunrises and sets, put your feet in the grass barefoot, and pick some flowers and stop to talk to the neighbors.
We were typing our comments and similar thoughts at the same time! Love it! ☺☺☺ You said it well! ❤
Indeed, RJ!
I heard a song earlier this week that raised the same sentiment.
“Miracle Service” by Andy Squyres, you can find on Spotify, YouTube or Apple.
Be still
And know
That I AM
God
Psalm 46:10
Why isn’t the memory verse in the App the exact same as what’s in our reading guides?
Cara, I don’t use the app. What verse does it show? Just curious! Thanks! ❤
Is it just a different version or different verses?
The verse in website is CSB, and it’s ESV on the app. The answer to why is above my pay grade :) lol
The Lord made all we see out of sheer delight for He had need for none of it. I imagine Him setting everything in place like we decorate a Christmas tree, hanging each ornament in just the right spot.
.
God is good, just, and full of mercy. May I remember that when life in this broken world does not seem to align with our expectations of “good.”
.
Please lift up my young mama today. She has had several setbacks this week and is fighting depression and despair. May the Lord meet her in worship today.
.
Pray that I can entrust her and the baby to God’s plan for her. Thanks, Shes.
That is a good analogy Kelly!
It must be hard to watch your momma struggle and not swoop in and save her (if that would be even possible). My heart aches for all of our butterflies that struggle so much to get a foot up, a chance, housing and jobs. It really is a feat and so hard that they go back to what they know. Praying for her.
Kelly, that makes my heart ache for you and this young mama! Praying with you that hope is restored through her worship today. May God reveal anything that she needs to lay down and may she be blessed. I understand your heart, too, and pray God will move on her behalf soon! ❤
Praying for her. ♥️
Praying!
Praying for your young mama! May God meet her where she’s at & guide her!
Praying, Kelly, that she will feel the Lord’s love and guidance today and for provision of all things needed. And for you, too, in trusting God’s plan for her. I’m a problem solver/fixer and it is hard sometimes to, as they say ‘let go and let God’ handle things and to know when we are part of his plan to help. Praying for overflowing wisdom.❤️
Praying❤️
Praying for her and thankful she has you in her life. ❤️
Praying!
Amen❤️
O Lord, our Lord—how vast, how wide,
Your name resounds on every tide.
Majestic, holy, deep, and true—
All creation sings of You.
❤️
Yes, Kimberly!
Let’s sing long & loud!!
Good morning, precious SRT sisters! I don’t believe I have ever had the privilege of being the first to comment. What, what a responsibility! I pray daily for each of you and all of your needs. I pray that God will meet even those needs that you haven’t shared. You are each so special to God in your own unique way! You are loved! I can’t wait to meet you all one day!
After church today I am going out of town for a couple of days to a place that Jack and I used to go all the time. It will be bittersweet. I am asking your prayers for guidance about going back to work. I didn’t plan to do that but Jack’s passing left me in a tight spot financially. I found out yesterday that I might can go back to my old job (best job ever!!!) part-time. Prayers that all works out as it should and that I can follow God’s plan.
❤️
Praying for Wisdom, Direction and Peace, as you go forward, dear Lynn.❤️ May you hear God whisper in your ear, “This is the way, walk in it”!
Also, Dear Friend, may you find comfort in this special place that you are revisiting without your beloved Jack… May the presence of the Holy Spirit be so vibrant and real that your aching heart is refreshed and renewed with precious memories that become a healing balm! May the LORD Bless you and keep you, make His Face shine upon you… and fill you with His Peace that passes All understanding! I love your brave ❤️! Holding you up before the Throne!
Amen. Praying with Carol all these things for you dear Lynn! I think of a few dear widow friends at church. They all went to griefshare there and talked highly of it helping them process. A few years out they all are dear friends and doing amazing adventures they never would have thought. Regardless, we know YOU will be fine because you know our Jesus well! He is not done with you and your path! I pray this job will work for you and bring you many blessings and bless others!
Amen to your beautiful words and prayer for our Lynne.., Carol.. Amen.

How wonderful that the possibility of you returning to something you loved to do may be open for you. Praying that works out.
Praying Lynn, thanks so much for your prayers. Know that many are praying for you too. May today be a special day as well as the next couple of days as you remember Jack. I think Jack would be proud of you!❤️
Indeed he would! heart
Amen! ❤
Lynne, I agree with DeeDee that Jack would be proud of you! I also agree with Carol in prayer. She said all I would have said, but more beautifully!
May this be a time of refreshing and renewal for your body, mind, and spirit. I love you as all our sisters here do! ❤❤❤
Praying that God works out all the details for you to return to your old job. Also, that He would make His presence known to you at all times.
Praying for you Lynne that you would have clear direction
Lynne, I pray that your trip brings you sweet memories that can give you peace and joy. And, also for your job that you enjoy. Your heart is so giving and kind, you can share it with others that might need the comfort you have received. I’m sure Jack is so proud of you right now.
I think our sisters have said all that I’m thinking this morning- joining them in prayer for safe travels, heart mending and discerning God’s will in returning to work, and for this possibility of returning to a position you know well. Love you, sister!
Joining all of these ladies in prayer, Lynne. May the Lord’s comfort and strength be near, His wisdom and guidance lead you❤️
Abundant prayer, SRT sister Lynne.
Whatever is good & right He’s going to do it.
