1 Chronicles 17:20

Scripture is God breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

Last week we memorized our key verse for this plan, 1 Chronicles 17:20. Try to fill in the blanks from memory, and feel free to take a peek at the verse again if you get stuck.

LORD, _____ is __ one ____ you, and there __ no ___ besides ___, as ___ we ____ heard ________.
—1 Chronicles 17:20

I’ve enjoyed this study. It’s always good to be reminded of Who God is

I went to church today for the first time in a long time. I’ve been really lonely for the community of God’s people. You ladies fill that need in a virtual way, but i really need to be around some Christians, too. I’m praying this church might fill that need

A quick request: pray for peace in the city of Cincinnati. Thursday, an 18 year old was shot and killed by police. Friday, his dad hit and killed an uninvolved officer with his car. Police chief calling for calm, but some pretty ugly stuff being said on social media.

Happy Sunday everyone! Loved this study so much! The podcasts were good both weeks too if you haven’t listened to them. Have a great day! See you right back here tomorrow for a new study!❤️

Happy Sunday sweet She’s! Went to visit a college yesterday. It was a two-hour drive and its right by the beach! Went with my sweet friend (running partner) whose daughter already attends the college. Taking a deep breath…..”there is no God besides YOU,!!! We enjoyed a long walk along the beautiful scenery of God’s creation. THE BEACH! And all we could talk about was how GREAT God is!! We had been wanting to change sceneries and were so BLESSED it finally happened. GOD did another beautiful thing for me that even my daughter and my sweet friend knew without a doubt, it was ALL God! In nutshell, for my birthday last month, from my teacher I para for, gave me a gift card to an athletic store she knows I like. I didn’t know how much was on the card. My sweet friend’s daughter happens to work at this store. Found out it was a generous gift card, and to top it off they were having a “friends and family” sale that my friend’s daughter didn’t even know about. ALL this to say that expensive and much desired athletic jacket I had been wanting, I was able to get a “generous” discount and only paid a VERY small amount to pay the difference. Sorry this is taking long, but my daughter and I went to the car to wait for our friends and that’s when my daughter started crying (me too) and said it wasn’t because she was sad, but because she KNEW how much I had been wanting this jacket and she KNEW it was ALL God who gave me something I had been “wanting.” When our friends got in the car and saw us they knew as well. My sweet friend shared as well God is so good as she knew its something I had been wanting since she and I walk/run every Saturday! Sorry for the long post. Something I say to my kids, I may not have everything, but I have EVERYTHING I need and “sometimes” God blesses us with something we “want” which in this case it was! God gets ALL the glory! ALSO thank you again to you all for the generous gift a Christmas time. I still have some as I try to be “wise” how I spend and don’t want to be frivolous.

Thank you, Rhonda. I guess I didn’t mention that here! I can’t believe it’s been 15 years! God is so good and I love where I work especially now with the little TK little munchkins.

  6. Wendy B says:

Amen. There is no one like our God and He is worthy of all praise.

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.

‘Shout for joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you. All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name.” Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!’ Psalm 66:1-5

I am also reminded of the song, There is None like You by Don Moen. Have a blessed Sunday, She’s. God be praised ❤️

Always bittersweet to end a study and prepare for a new one …. KELLY (NEO) reminded that we have only scratched the surface of learning about God’s attributes. I’ll be working on looking for those attributes and new insight as we move through our next studies.
    .
BG verse for today is one I think of often –
    2 Chronicles 7:14
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
    .
Praying for my country and all countries, and for the lost and prodigals.

CEE GEE and TINA – miss y’all ❤️
LINDA IN NC – praying for you and Gene
DEEDEE – praying for you and your husband

    1. Wendy B says:

I think of 2 Chron 7:14 often as well when praying for the same. Its a simple thought, really. If we just do this, the outcome would be dramatically different for our lives, our people, our country, but we are a stubborn people. And, so we press on, trusting, interceding, praying to our awesome God who is at work and like no one else.

    2. Cee Gee says:

❤ missed y’all, too, but I am caught up and ready for the next one. ☺
Agree with you on that passage! ❤

      1. Adrienne says:

        Same, CeeGee, same. ❤️

  10. Laurie Fouts says:

Who is like the Lord? Nobody!

  11. Gwineth52 says:

    Sunday, Sunday
    Acclaiming His Day!
    No other name!
    Praise without shame!
    Tethered by trust.
    Gather, we must.
    My depression, receding.
    To Him, such pleading.
    Lifted in prayer.
    By Shes, such care.
    Gratitude, Graditude.
    Coursing the altitude!

    1. Searching says:

Thank you, GWINETH52, and may today’s prayers and praise continue to lift your spirits ❤️

    2. Teresa Donley says:

  14. Rhonda J. says:

    Good Morning Sweet She’s!

I love walking this journey of life with ya’ll, through our trials, heartaches, and of course the joys! Our testimonies are what keeps each other going, besides of course the grace and mercy of our Lord God!
I had this song going through my mind this morning when I woke up, and it is fitting…for He is Worthy through it all!

I’ve Witnessed It by Passion Music

    Verse 1
    When I was lost
    And all alone
    Your presence was
    Where I found home
    You were there
    And You’re here right now

    Verse 2
In every high and every low
You never left me without hope
    You were good
    And You’re good right now

    Chorus 1
    I’ve witnessed Your faithfulness
I’ve seen You breathe life within
So I’ll pour out my praise again
    You’re worthy
God You’re worthy of all of it

    Chorus 2
    Your promises never fail
I’ve got stories I’ll live to tell
So I’ll pour out my praise again
    You’re worthy
God You’re worthy of all of it

    Verse 3
    You left the throne
    And chose the cross
Laid down Your life to rescue us
The Savior then the Savior now

    Verse 4
    But even death
    Was not the end
    You conquered hell
    So I could live
    Resurrecting then
    Resurrecting now

    Tag
    Resurrecting then
    Resurrecting now

You are living God’s story to SHARE what you have witnessed in your life!
I lost and all alone…and He was there!

    1. Searching says:

      Amen! ❤️

    2. Gwineth52 says:

      Rhonda J.
You have reminded me this morning of the contemporary hymn, “You are Worthy of It All”.
Sung in my head, of course, by CeCe Winans.

“You are worthy of it all
You are worthy of it all
For from You are all things
And to You are all things
      You deserve the glory.”

      Grace upon Grace upon Grace!

      1. Mari V says:

Love it Gwineth52. Another version is by The Worship Initiative & Shane & Shane. We sing this one in youth group.

    3. Mari V says:

Thank you Rhonda J for this beautiful reminder.

  19. Kelly (NEO) says:

We only skimmed the top of learning about God’s attributes but a great start!
    Psalm 148
    “1 Hallelujah!
    Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise him in the heights.
    2 Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly armies.
    3 Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
    4 Praise him, highest heavens,
and you waters above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for he commanded, and they were created.
    6 He set them in position forever and ever;
he gave an order that will never pass away.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
all sea monsters and ocean depths,
8 lightning[a] and hail, snow and cloud,
stormy wind that executes his command,
    9 mountains and all hills,
    fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all cattle,
creatures that crawl and flying birds,
11 kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all judges of the earth,
12 young men as well as young women,
    old and young together.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted.
His majesty covers heaven and earth.
14 He has raised up a horn for his people,
resulting in praise to all his faithful ones,
to the Israelites, the people close to him.
    Hallelujah!”

Praying this Lord’s day is a blessing for you. ❤️
