Ephesians 2:8-9

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

For the second half of this plan, we are memorizing our key passage for the book of Ephesians. We’ll continue by memorizing verse 9.

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast.
—Ephesians 2:8–9

    Happy Sunday sweet She’s!! Got up a little late. Feeling a little “off” this morning. Not sick, but just tired. AND here I am almost 9:30 AM, late for me as I LOVE my mornings when everyone is still sleeping and a quite house. But not this morning. JOINING in prayer for all those effected by the shootings in Georgia. I too, work at school and we’ve yet to have a practice lockdown drill this school year since we just started. I think of these little 4 year olds who probably don’t even know what that is.

    Happy Sunday Morning She’s!

    We are on the last day of our 2 week vacation up to visit our family! I get to go to church this morning with my son which is the best thing ever! Then spend the last day with others and pack it up and head out in the morning! We will stop off and see my dad tomorrow, which is a true blessing, he is 80 and not doing too well. If you could pray for safe travels the next 2 days and my back to hold up. It is not liking the 47 degrees here this morning! lol.

    Thankful for SRT each morning and my beautiful She’s here, sisters and friends in unity in Christ! Thankful that I am someone special to Christ, and have given over to letting Him write my story. Rachael Lampa- “Somebody to You!”

    I’m so thankful that our God meets us exactly where we are. It’s not by anything we do that saves, but it is by his work alone! Now that’s love!

    Have a blessed day of worship, sisters! ❤
    We sang this song many years ago in choir:
    Written In Red by Janet Paschal
    ~
    In letters of crimson, God wrote His love
    On the hillside so long, long ago
    For you and for me Jesus died
    And love’s greatest story was told
    “I love you, I love you”
    That’s what Calvary said
    I love you, I love you
    “I love you” written in red
    Down through the ages, God wrote His love
    With the same hands that suffered and bled
    Giving all that He had to give
    A message so easily read
    “I love you, I love you”
    That’s what Calvary said
    I love you, I love you
    I love you
    Oh, precious is the flow
    That makes me white as snow
    No other fount I know
    Nothing but the blood
    The blood of Jesus
    “I love you, I love you”
    That’s what Calvary said
    I love you, I love you (I love you)
    “I love you”
    written in red

    Such a great reminder! It is easy to get caught up in serving in church. Which is good but this does not earn our salvation. It is a gift!

  10. Kelly (NEO) says:

    No boasting here of my worthiness or deservedness of God’s love, mercy, and grace!
    .
    1 Chronicles 16:9-11
    Sing to him; sing praise to him;
    tell about all his wondrous works!
    Boast in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
    Seek the Lord and his strength;
    seek his face always.
    .
    Psalm 9:1-2
    I will thank the Lord with all my heart;
    I will declare all your wondrous works.
    I will rejoice and boast about you;
    I will sing about your name, Most High.
    .
    Psalm 34:1-3
    I will bless the Lord at all times;
    his praise will always be on my lips.
    I will boast in the Lord;
    the humble will hear and be glad.
    Proclaim the Lord’s greatness with me;
    let us exalt his name together.
    .
    Psalm 105:2-4
    Sing to him, sing praise to him;
    tell about all his wondrous works!
    Boast in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
    Seek the Lord and his strength;
    seek his face always.
    .
    Jeremiah 9:23-24
    This is what the Lord says:

    The wise person should not boast in his wisdom;
    the strong should not boast in his strength;
    the wealthy should not boast in his wealth.
    But the one who boasts should boast in this:
    that he understands and knows me—
    that I am the Lord, showing faithful love,
    justice, and righteousness on the earth,
    for I delight in these things.
    This is the Lord’s declaration.
    .
    Be blessed this Lord’s Day, dear sisters❣️
