Weekly Truth

Open Your Bible

Number 14:18

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

We are continuing to memorize our key verse, Numbers 14:18. This week we will add the next section, showing us how God demonstrates love through forgiveness.

The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, forgiving iniquity and rebellion. But he will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generation.

    Has anyone else noticed that the verse posted on the opening page of this day is actually from Genesis and not the correct memory verse? It’s been wrong for 2 weeks in a row now.

    1. Kelly (NEO) says:

      ?? The verse is how Num. 14:18 reads. What are you seeing?

      So wonderful! Enjoy! (My beautiful mom is in heaven as well!! She couldn’t wait to meet Jesus!! She was such a powerful inspiration in that way, and make her passing so much easier!!)

  11. Rhonda J. says:

    Good Morning, Happy Sunday and Happy Mother’s day!

    I like this verse of the Psalms that Kelly Neo shared because it goes back to what I shared last night of sharing the Lord with the “poor in spirit” or the down-trodden.”

    12 Restore the joy of your salvation to me,
    and sustain me by giving me a willing spirit.
    13 Then I will teach the rebellious your ways,
    and sinners will return to you.

    When we have Joy in the Lord, we are eager to do His work!! And it renews our spirit as well! Time is short, all prophesy points to the rapture at this point. But for those left behind, I want them to know the choice of Jesus when it matters!

    Love to you all!

    RHONDA J Thank you for sharing Stacy’s story with us. I will remember her in prayer. Being in the presence of a new baby Christian is a joy and refreshes our faith as well. What a privilege for you, dear she, that God used you and your group to minister in this way. I love your faithfulness to this group and hearing about the fruit of your labor.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Thank you my friend! Yes, it is so cool to see how God can transform peoples lives! It definitely is so good for us that have been Christians our whole lives! Nothing brings more joy than sharing God’s love to the hurting and then see them absorb it. There is another lady that came in about 5 weeks ago that sat there with a scowl on her face, and each week there is change- more participation, asking for prayer, singing more. This week I told her after class that I can see a light on her face and she smiled and said that she has been in the bible every day!
      I hope you have a good mother’s day despite your daughters choices, just remember that satan has a hold of the world…BUT GOD is bigger. I pray the scales will fall off her eyes, you raised her in the WORD, so she WILL return.

      1. Foster Mama says:

        Beautiful RHONDA J

  15. Kelly (NEO) says:

    As David prayed:
    “Be gracious to me, God,
    according to your faithful love;
    according to your abundant compassion,
    blot out my rebellion.
    2 Completely wash away my guilt
    and cleanse me from my sin.
    3 For I am conscious of my rebellion,
    and my sin is always before me.
    4 Against you—you alone—I have sinned
    and done this evil in your sight.
    So you are right when you pass sentence;
    you are blameless when you judge.
    5 Indeed, I was guilty when I was born;
    I was sinful when my mother conceived me.

    6 Surely you desire integrity in the inner self,
    and you teach me wisdom deep within.
    7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
    8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
    9 Turn your face away from my sins
    and blot out all my guilt.

    10 God, create a clean heart for me
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
    11 Do not banish me from your presence
    or take your Holy Spirit from me.
    12 Restore the joy of your salvation to me,
    and sustain me by giving me a willing spirit.
    13 Then I will teach the rebellious your ways,
    and sinners will return to you.

    14 Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God—
    God of my salvation—
    and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
    15 Lord, open my lips,
    and my mouth will declare your praise.
    16 You do not want a sacrifice, or I would give it;
    you are not pleased with a burnt offering.
    17 The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit.
    You will not despise a broken and humbled heart, God” (Ps 51:1-17).

    1. Allison Bentley says:

      “…Sustain me by giving me a willing spirit “

    @SEARCHING and @CEE GEE: thank you for the reply and cancel hack. I was able to read all comments for the first time.
    I too wish the print is larger for mobile scrolling. It was quite straining for the eyes after 30 mins of reading. Praying for SRT Tech team with thanksgiving and appreciation, and patience on our part. Changes are always hard… But thankful we are going through it together❤️.

  17. Mercy says:

    Happy Mother’s day she’s. I hope you all have a wonderful day and weekend. This mother’s day is extra special for me. Ten years ago I was pregnant with my first and the relationship with my mom had issues. And it never changed. I felt like I lost my best friend. I was fretting this trip for so long, but God always called me to march forth. And now I know why. I have my lovely peaceful gentle mother back. He did his wonders. We had a lovely breakfast brunch today and some mother’s day gifts. I thank God that He has changed my mother’s heart and caused her to have compassion on me. This is a wonderful day for me. A redemption of the past ten years of suffering discord and persecution. Is anything too hard for the Lord? As the question Sarah raised when God said she would have a child. Maybe if you and I sit down, and search our lives, and ask ourselves, and submit the hardships of our days, we might know God a little deeper, and our eyes might see Him in light we could never otherwise see, unless it is impossible. may the Lord keep you and watch over you, and grant you your heart’s desires. Be blessed dear sisters.❤️

    1. Kelly (NEO) says:

      So happy for you, Mercy! May the rest of your visit be pure joy

    4. Rhonda J. says:
