Weekly Truth

Open Your Bible

Number 14:18

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry His Word with us wherever we go.

For this reading plan, we will memorize our key verse, Numbers 14:18. This week we will memorize the first portion, a reminder of God’s faithful love toward His people.

The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in faithful love, forgiving iniquity and rebellion. But he will not leave the guilty unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generation.

    What’s up here on the app? The two verses shown are clearly not the same verse, and I can’t be the only one who has noticed.

    What a week!! 9 mo grandson Cooper on the mend now from pneumonia. So difficult to watch our little guy struggling for each breath and moaning in pain. Holding him 24/7 was the only comfort he wanted. (Truthfully it was the only thing I wanted to do too!) Yesterday his fever finally broke for good. Praising God for this blessing. @RITA ANN. Thankful for the good news on your husband’s surgery. ❤️

      That is so hard to see your children/gc not feeling well and sick. Glad you got to hold him and comfort him poor guy!

    So thankful that God is just. He is faithful, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love! His grace overwhelms me! He gives me what I do not deserve and doesn’t give me what I do deserve.n

    RITA ANN. thankful your husband is doing well. Continuing prayers for him and for all the other requests.

    Hebrews 3:15 Remember what it says:

    “Today when you hear his voice,
    don’t harden your hearts
    as Israel did when they rebelled.”

    16 And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? 17 And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? 18 And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? 19 So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.

    GM!

    This song “Mercy” by Casting Crowns was on this morning as I read the scripture today! Very fitting.
    I still remember
    The day He found me
    6 feet under all my shame
    I heard Him call me out by name
    Hallelujah
    The cross has spoken
    Jesus my Savior bled and died
    To bring this deadman back to life

    I know the only reason
    I can stand here unashamed
    Is not because I’m worthy
    It’s all because of mercy
    There’s no way that I could earn it
    Praise God my debt is paid
    It’s not because I’m worthy
    It’s all because of mercy

    Hopey you all have a wonderful Sunday Praising our Savior for His Mercy and Grace!

      Songs, Psalms, Jesus! We have all that we need :)

      CEE GEE – so many great artists have done that song, thank you for the reminder!❤️. Also love Jesus Hold My Hand, although I always change the lyrics – instead of “When I kneel in prayer I hope to meet You there” I change it to “I know You’ll meet me there.” There is no doubt He will be there.

      KELLY (NEO) thank you for our Sunday psalm❤️

      RHONDA J ❤️ hallelujah!

    Psalm 111
    “1 Hallelujah!
    I will praise the Lord with all my heart
    in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.
    2 The Lord’s works are great,
    studied by all who delight in them.
    3 All that he does is splendid and majestic;
    his righteousness endures forever.
    4 He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered.
    The Lord is gracious and compassionate.
    5 He has provided food for those who fear him;
    he remembers his covenant forever.
    6 He has shown his people the power of his works
    by giving them the inheritance of the nations.
    7 The works of his hands are truth and justice;
    all his instructions are trustworthy.
    8 They are established forever and ever,
    enacted in truth and in uprightness.
    9 He has sent redemption to his people.
    He has ordained his covenant forever.
    His name is holy and awe-inspiring.

    10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
    all who follow his instructions have good insight.
    His praise endures forever.”
