Psalm 73:28

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

Over the course of this reading plan, we’ve worked on memorizing Psalm 73:28. This week, we will memorize the final portion of the verse.

But as for me, God’s presence is my good.
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
so I can tell about all you do.
—Psalm 73:28

Hello sisters, what a blessing and encouragement to read these scriptures, devos, comments and prayers! I am especially thankful those who have been praying for me this past week or so while working through these dizzy, lightheaded spells. I have been better since I am on the med, have a couple tests to go through. I wanted to share what my husband Bob told me this morning. He has been fighting metastatic cancer for 6 years and mostly is pretty stable but on Wednesday he had a cyberknife radiation treatment for the 9th time to his brain. It’s not painful but he gets very, very tired with it. Thursday he started with a cold and has been just feeling a little under the weather. The last 2 nights he had to get up to his recliner to sleep and here’s the story: Friday night when he was in his recliner, the dog was on the floor beside him I think and Bob said he felt 2 angels brush against his legs! He didn’t really seem them, but knew they were angels and there were 2! It was so encouraging to me and comforting because we couldn’t be beside each other in bed he wasn’t alone in his chair! It brought to mind the old lullaby “Sleep my child and peace attend thee, all through the night. Guardian angels God will send thee all through the night” I am sure this is based in Scripture but don’t know the reference right now! Hope this encourages other who read it! Anyway, Peace and Love to all ❤️

@Julia C…. WOW…. God is so good! He knew exactly what you needed to pray for and for whom for all those that you mentioned and for myself, Thank You for praying for us.

  9. Mari V says:

,…. so I can tell all about YOU! I never, ever want to forget what my God my Jesus has done for me. I am, where I am today only because of Jesus! I am stronger because of my Jesus! Oh… I still have my struggles, but I do my best to keep in mind that my God, my Jesus has it all under control. Speaking of which I would really appreciate prayer and guidance for summer work. When I took this position as a para, I knew summer work was not guaranteed. I was offered to work two separate weeks in June and that’s it. I don’t have enough finances to cover the summer. I let my school know that I’m willing to do ANYTHING!! Again, I am trusting Jehovah Jireh my provider. I need guidance as to either start applying elsewhere for summer work or hopefully hear soon from our school that they can offer me summer work. Please pray with me.

This study has really had me thinking a lot about God’s presence and His glory and how this is the goal, the prize, the reward. Yesterday I was thinking about how those things are also MY good. I sometimes have a hard time with Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” It is so often interpreted and quoted to make someone think that all the bad stuff will turn around and eventually they will get want they consider to be “good.” So they wait for God to turn everything around and fix everything and when it doesn’t happen, they blame God and turn away from Him. But the HS has really been impressing on my heart lately that God’s good is not what I think might be “good”. This verse really brings that to light. God’s PRESENCE is my GOOD so I can TELL about (GLORIFY) Him.

I pray for what I think is my good – but I trust God to show me what His good is and how I can tell about it and glorify Him!

“As for me, the presence of God is my good. I have made the LORD GOD my refuge so I can tell about all you do.” We all have a testimony to tell. He has done so much. We tend to momentarily forget about His perfect performance in our lives when we are in a valley but it’s important to remember that He is always faithful as He has always been. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. ❤️
