Matthew 4:17

For this study we have worked to memorize our key verse in Matthew. Spend some time reading the full verse out loud and meditating on the good news of Jesus’s message.

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near.
—Matthew 4:17

Happy Palm Sunday everyone!! Had a really great service at my church this morning. I’m so excited for Easter!! I will be staying in town and going to my church, so I know it will be a sweet time.

@Michelle Patire, I completely understand!! I am in my mid-20s :) so younger, but I have two older siblings in their early 30s, and from what my friends tell me, I’m more mature for my age haha. I definitely have thought how once I get married, I do not want to neglect my single friends. I want to make sure to invite people in and mentor them, because it can be so hard at times. I do not just want to be isolated after I get married. It is a different stage of life, but I think bridging the gap between singles and married people can be needed at times. Praying for you Michelle!!

Well, I am about 85% sure that my “friend” from church likes me…this morning was probably the 3rd or 4th time he stayed after our Sunday school and talked with my friends and I, and we walked out at the same time. I have a feeling he’s trying to find a way to ask me out. Unfortunately someone else is always around me haha. I’ve been telling my roommate, if he doesn’t like me, I don’t know what to think about guys anymore Praying the week in between would go by quickly haha, and that the Lord would teach me more about himself during this time.

    Good Morning She’s/ or afternoon!

I read this morning but didn’t get time to post! This week means so much more every year as I read scripture more, and pray and get close to our Holy Savior, But now after watching The Passion of the Christ…it really reminds me of how important and crazy Palm Sunday was that they were cheering and loving Him and shouting Hosannah…then so quickly were yelling crucify Him. That last supper, them more worried about who would be the greatest, then in the garden they fell asleep…they just didn’t realize what was going to happen! Then we have Judas’ betrayal, Peters denials, everyone else scatters, and poor Mary weeping and seeing her Son suffering. It’s a LOT for this week. I just want to grasp it all and the huge impact it SHOULD have ON ME! All this for my sinful self. All I have to do is ACCEPT. That’s all!! That’s all He asks of us in the big picture…say yes to me my lost sheep. Yes, there IS more. But simplicity when we see the whole Bible and it’s ALL there for us..yet we can’t be bothered to pick it up and study and meditate. We can’t make a stand that we love Him more than any of our useless material things in our lives. That we don’t want church to go over our time limit. We don’t want to talk to a homeless person. We don’t want to take time to care for a sick neighbor or invite an annoying friend to church that needs to know Jesus. We don’t want to forgive a person released from jail and give them a chance or the one that wronged us. It’s so simple, yet so complex. We have to let the living water that God wants us to have, by accepting Jesus, and then it will pour from us. Lets meditate on how much happened in this up coming week from Palm Sunday…to His death on Friday. Praise the Lord though….Resurrection is coming!! That’s when we rejoice!! Rejoice…Up From the Grave He Arose!! (Love that hymn) and the song- He Lives! He Lives! Christ Jesus lives today…He walks with me, and talks with me….

As usual I have gone on and on! And I am praising with the Praises! And I am nodding and saying Amen to Mari V’s comment to our young single ladies! It is imperative that you wait on God and not make it happen your own way! It only leads to failure without the Lord first in each of your lives! Yes, God can change and make it work in some cases,…but marriage is hard enough with God! God has it all under control if you give it to Him!

Love you all sisters in Christ and glad we can be open and real. Where have you been @Mercy?! Hope your husband is feeling better?

  4. Mari V says:

@Michelle Patire, Sarah D, Taylor, and all you BEAUTIFUL single ladies! We know its hard to wait for that young man, your future husband. BUT as a mom who has been married twice, and now legally separated PLEASE wait for God to bring you the man HE has chosen for you. BE picky, don’t compromise, AND most importantly he MUST and I’ll say it again, MUST love Jesus, FIRST! If he loves Jesus first with all his heart he’ll be able to love you the way you deserve to be loved because Jesus will be his FIRST love and the same goes for you. LOVE Jesus first. Praying this morning for all you beautiful young ladies! WE LOVE YOU!!
