Weekly Truth

Open Your Bible

Matthew 4:17

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.

This week, we will memorize the last part of our key verse—Jesus’s message of repentance and salvation.

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near.
—Matthew 4:17

    The Celebration of Life for my friend Michelle’s dad John was SO AMAZING! John definitely left his hand print on many lives here as he was part of the ministry once called Evangelism Explosion and now called SEEDS! The gospel was presented and many ears heard it! A sweet sweet friend of mine was present and I’m SO excited she heard the Good News!!

    CINDY HANNA – Our pastor many years ago remarked that a necklace with an empty tomb would be more of a testament than one with a cross. Thanks for sharing! ❤

    JULIA AND KELLY reminded me of a song we often sing at church. Just sharing partial lyrics to Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin:

    Because You are perfect in all of Your ways
    You are perfect in all of Your ways
    You are perfect in all of Your ways to us
    You are perfect in all of Your ways
    Oh, You’re perfect in all of Your ways
    You are perfect in all of Your ways to us
    Oh, it’s love so undeniable
    I, I can hardly speak
    Peace so unexplainable
    I, I can hardly think
    As You call me deeper still
    As You call me deeper still
    As You call me deeper still into love, love, love
    You’re a good, good Father
    It’s who You are, it’s who You are, it’s who You are
    And I’m loved by You
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
    And You’re a good, good Father
    It’s who You are, it’s who You are, it’s who You are
    And I’m loved by You
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
    You’re a good, good Father
    It’s who You are, it’s who You are, it’s who You are
    And I’m loved by You
    It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
    (You’re a good, good Father)
    You are perfect in all of Your ways (it’s who You are, it’s who You are, it’s who You are)
    (And I’m loved by You)
    You are perfect in all of Your ways (it’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am)

  9. Cheryl Blow says:

    This is such a great reminder to not only search our hearts but to share the Gospel with those we encounter daily. The time is near.

    Praying for you Danielle, Mia, and everyone else.

    Thank you for praying for my grandson’s eye. He was able to get a cancelled appointment. He is only 4 but he understands that God iOS using the dr to heal his eyes. He will have surgery to correct the eye crossing in April.

  10. Melissa Richards says:

    Amem

  11. Danielle B says:

    Thank you dear sisters for praying for me and my family! I accidentally put a D instead of a B yesterday.

    I can hardly believe what I’m about to type to you all as it still feels surreal in some ways but my body aches tell me different. Yesterday late morning I was hit by another vehicle. Physically I’m bruising and have aches. The man who towed my car thinks my vehicle will be deemed totaled. I’m asking for wisdom in the next steps. The police said they aren’t able to determine fault and it will need to be investigated. The one officer said I had the right of way. I was able to share with those I interacted with the I’m trusting God. My parents who are believers and I wonder what God is calling us to or preparing us for as the last two months. Please pray with us that we will see His will in this.

    Michelle-I’m praying for you. I know how much social media can impact a person seeing what “friends” are doing.
    Sarah D- I’m praying for you as you seek God’s will for the longings of your heart. There are some great, encouraging resources available for singles. If you’re interested let me know as I’d be happy to share.

  12. Theresa Storie says:

    Amen!

  13. Aimee D-R says:

    Forgive me father for I have sinned in my thoughts and words, in what I have done and failed to do. Thank you for Your never ending gifts of Mercy and Grace. In Jesus name, Amen

  14. Theresa says:

    “Christ with me,
    Christ before me,
    Christ behind me,
    Christ in me,
    Christ beneath me,
    Christ above me,
    Christ on my right,
    Christ on my left,
    Christ when I lie down,
    Christ when I sit down,
    Christ when I arise,
    Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
    Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
    Christ in every eye that sees me,
    Christ in every ear that hears me.”
    -excerpt from the Breastplate Prayer of Saint Patrick

    I wanted to share an update of Sydney, she is awake and able to communicate. However, her heart can no longer function and she remains on life support that does all the work of her heart for her. She’s on a transplant list and at this point it’s not expected that her heart will heal. Please join me in praying for either a miracle healing or a donor heart to come quickly!

  16. Kelly (NEO) says:

    Psalm 145

    1 I will exalt you, my God and King,
    and praise your name forever and ever.
    2 I will praise you every day;
    yes, I will praise you forever.
    3 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
    No one can measure his greatness.

    4 Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts;
    let them proclaim your power.
    5 I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor
    and your wonderful miracles.
    6 Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue;
    I will proclaim your greatness.
    7 Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness;
    they will sing with joy about your righteousness.

    8 The Lord is merciful and compassionate,
    slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
    9 The Lord is good to everyone.
    He showers compassion on all his creation.
    10 All of your works will thank you, Lord,
    and your faithful followers will praise you.
    11 They will speak of the glory of your kingdom;
    they will give examples of your power.
    12 They will tell about your mighty deeds
    and about the majesty and glory of your reign.
    13 For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
    You rule throughout all generations.

    The Lord always keeps his promises;
    he is gracious in all he does.
    14 The Lord helps the fallen
    and lifts those bent beneath their loads.
    15 The eyes of all look to you in hope;
    you give them their food as they need it.
    16 When you open your hand,
    you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.
    17 The Lord is righteous in everything he does;
    he is filled with kindness.
    18 The Lord is close to all who call on him,
    yes, to all who call on him in truth.
    19 He grants the desires of those who fear him;
    he hears their cries for help and rescues them.
    20 The Lord protects all those who love him,
    but he destroys the wicked.

    21 I will praise the Lord,
    and may everyone on earth bless his holy name
    forever and ever.” NLT

    Worship Him, Shes!

  18. Julia C says:

    Our life on earth affects our eternal life. What or whom do I adore?
    Our eternal life affects our earthly life. How do I live my life?
    Do I accept Jesus’ life-saving love? The choice is mine.
    – Luke 6:19-31

    Dear Father,

    Our good Father, that’s who You are.
    And we are loved by You, that’s who we are.

    Because of Your sacrifice, we can spend eternity in Your presence.

    May this Undeniable Love and Unexplainable Peace that you have for us, root deep into our hearts and into the hearts of those we love.
    May we read Your Word of Truth and say that our identity is in You.
    May we repent, turn to you, and live as daughters of the King of Kings.

    AMEN.

  19. Cindy Hanna says:

    I came across a necklace that represents the empty tomb. Oh how the empty tomb of Jesus fires my soul! Living in the reality of Jesus’s conquest over death and sin is a triumph I daily want to focus on!
    (The necklace is offered by Angel.com and connected to Angel Studios which produces many uplifting Christian themed movies.)
