Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
For this final week, review Romans 3:22–24 in its entirety as you commit it to memory. Remember this gospel reality that redemption and righteousness are available to all who trust in Christ Jesus.
22 The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction. 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; 24 they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
—Romans 3:22–24

Happy Sunday she’s! Thanksss so much for the prayers! The weekend went really well and I stressed over nothing. God is so good and loves us so unconditionally. Praying for all you ladies today! @HL praying you’ll find a good job that feels right. @GAYLE praying for your husband!
I really enjoyed this study. I love Paul’s letters. I wish it had been a little slower pace though because it is such dense material. I feel like I got a better grasp of the gospel and what it means to live it out.
Happy Sunday! It has been such a wonderful time being in the book of Romans and to be reminded of how God just wants us to love Him and others.
Thank you to all who are praying for me in regards to moving forward in the job search process. I took this past week to get much needed rest, exercise, and time with the Lord. I was so stressed and anxious with work that I forgot about living and taking care of myself as much as I should.
Today during prayer in church several people prayed over me a this strong rush of peace filled me. I immediately felt His presence and strength to move forward one step at a time.
Can I ask for prayer as I start looking at my steps this week for work and making decisions? Also, I used to do a lot of photography as a hobby but that fell to the side as my work overwhelmed me. I am feeling that desire to going back to that hobby and make it a priority.
Continued prayers for everyone from health concerns, job and employment issues, and families. May the peace that passes all understanding fill your hearts and minds as we start a new week and study. Looking forward to Psalms for Prayer.
Thank you for the prayers:)
@Lynn- Prayers for Jack’s surgery also!
Hello She’s! Hope you are having a fantastic Sunday!! We had a busy morning greeting before/after our first and second services. Our message today was really good, we are going through 1 & 2 Peter, and currently on 1 Peter 4 and 5! It was powerful about leaning on Jesus through our Pain, which was good for me!
Martha- I can’t believe it has been 2 years, you have been in my prayers for that time! Also through the flooding of your house. I think that would be fantastic to move close to your grandchildren!
I did not see Gayle’s comment either, but prayers for you.
What are we starting tomorrow for the study?
Oh wow, that was such an amazing read! And the benediction was just incredible!
RHONDA J.- what’s sweet comment and idea.. thank you! I think having something like that is a great idea and I know she’d go for it. She’s begun practicing daily gratitude at the end of the day and she enjoys that…. This would be be encouraging I’m sure :)
GAYLE— praying that your husband will find his identity in Christ, and not what the world says. that he would know his worth is what God says it is. And he will know that he is enough, and that God is in control. He can confidently search for a job because the Lord has greater plans for him. Please let him listen to the words of his sweet wife, and to the Lord.
MICHELLE PATIRE—praying that the Lord will restore your car to even better order than it was before and that He would provide you safety during your drives for work.
MARTHA HIX—praying that the Lord would comfort your heart and continue the healing, and that He would intervene in your home repair! Also, my siblings live in Waco and my mom just moved there. We all went to Baylor! There is an amazing church there called Antioch Waco that you should check out when you visit!
Good morning, sweet SRT sisters!
MICHELLE PATIRE—prayers that God will protect you until you get your car fixed (hopefully under warranty ). Also still praying for your siblings and home situation.
MARTHA HIX—prayers for you as you still miss your husband so much! I can’t believe it’s been almost two years. Also still praying for you as you deal with the flooding mess. I dealt with something very similar last year and nothing about it was quick or easy. Prayers for wisdom about if /when you should move.
GAYLE R—I could not find your original post but have the basic idea from other posts. Prayers for you and your husband. May God heal your pain and help you to encourage your husband.
HEIDI, MERCY, CAROLYN BARRON, ALLISON BENTLEY, KIMBERLY Z, RAMONA,
and all others—prayers for your specific requests.
I have a very specific request today. Jack’s reversal surgery is scheduled for August 31. Pray that it can be done swiftly and successfully and that he can handle the anesthesia without further mental impairment. Also, please pray for my longtime friend Gaynell who is having cancer surgery for melanoma on the 17th. Thank you! Love y’all!
GAYLE R – I heard it said that there is no hurt like church hurt, where our place of community for prayer, worship and fellowship in some way turns against us, bringing shock and disappointment. I echo the prayers of ELAINE MORGAN, NANCY S and JEN B for you, your husband and his job search. Another thought that came to mind is that the (likely) few people involved in these deceptive actions have shown their true colors. Rather than having lost a job he wanted, it may be that the Lord protected him from being brought into an organization that would have later brought him harm (integrity, reputation). Praying for wisdom as you talk with him. And as he restarts his job search (and I’m sure y’all already know this) to talk positively about himself, strengths etc & be careful to avoid negative talk about previous job search. ❤️
Praying for you Gayle and your husband!
So grateful for God’s redeeming love for all of us. I could never pay the debt and I don’t deserve His mercy! Ahh, but that is the essence of grace! Thank you Lord!
I don’t see Gayle R’s comment here on the website, but prayers as you and your husband figure out the Lord’s will for your life. I’m sorry I don’t have the full context of your prayer, but … Holy Spirit please intercede and comfort Gayle and give her and her husband wisdom and grace for one another as they take it a day at a time.
@Martha Hix! Thank you for the update. Waco – sounds cool :) I hear a lot about this place. I think a lot of Christians live there bc a lot of Christian podcasters I like mention this place in Texas a lot, lol. Some big churches.
Praying God leads you to make a wise decision and helps you figure out things with insurance. I know sometimes things like this can be slow moving. May the Holy Sprit give you wisdom and patience, as you continue in this day by day. In Jesus’s name.
Thank you for your encouragement @Rhonda & @Sharon, JG- praying God guides me. Update on my car: I did get it back but I am so nervous driving it. The mechanic told me he didn’t feel confident about it until I bring it to the person who did the transmission and see if that’s the issue. The trans is under warranty but the guy isn’t back from vacation until the 23rd- and I drive for work 4 days a week all day long! It is really anxiety inducing, but I am trusting God to protect me from harm. He told me to get this job. He told me to hold onto this car (I can’t afford a new one). I was praying about it all yesterday and driving really carefully and slow. I just pray for wisdom and strength to endure. His ways don’t make sense in the natural, but big picture I know He has a plan with all this …
Father thank You for giving us Jesus. Amen in His glorious name.
Gayle R, I’m so sorry to hear of the pain & distress your husband is experiencing, & you too of course, & especially that caused by your own church. I’m praying that your faith & his are strong enough to bear this insult without growing bitter. I’m asking God to give your husband the energy & motivation to continue the search for a job, trusting that a better situation is coming.
Gayle R, I’m praying for you and your husband. I work for my church as the administrator and it would tear my heart out if something came between us. They are like family to me and my second home. Continue to seek the Lord. You may have to be willing to pull up roots if your husband is looking for church work. If God has called your husband to work for His church He already has one picked out for him. We just hired three new pastors at our church in the past two years. One of them from Maui to us in Mississippi. Only God can make that happen. Be encouraged that He has a place for your husband and he will guide him there. But it looks like he might need the journey he is going through now to prepare him for what is to come. God our father never wastes anything. Every single thing has a purpose. Love ya sister.
I’m so sorry to hear,Gayle R, about your husband’s situation. I am praying now for peace for you both as you forgive your church and let your Heavenly Father show you the next steps, and the right job.
MARTHA HIX – THANKS so much for checking in! I almost wrote to you a few days ago, but didn’t think you would see it. You remain in our prayers, especially on those remembrance days. I will be praying for favor in the wrap-up of this situation at your home. Have you talked with anyone like a home inspector for your county? Don’t know if they could help.. only thing I could think of. Moving to be near the kids is pretty enticing! Praying for wisdom and peace. ❤ So good to “see” you!!!
I want to memorize the full 3 verses, but I admit to not working on them during the week. I am so used to rattling off verse 23 the other doesn’t flow so easily. Have a great Sabbath, sisters!
“We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do” (Eph 2:10).
Lord give us Your vision of what we are to do this day!
Have a blessed time with the saints today!
MARTHA HIX ❤️
Good Sabbath Morning! Praying for all of you sweet shes. Prayers for you and your husband Gayle. Prayers for comfort, motivation, opportunity, and peace!
Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy!
Today would’ve been my husband’s 73rd birthday. On August 20, it will be two years since he unexpectedly passed away. I am grateful for your prayers and I thank you for covering me snd standing beside me during this time of loss, grief, remembrance, and growth.
Update on my flooding… four weeks ago, my toilet overflowed overnight and flooded 3/4 of my house. It is a slow, tedious process dealing with the insurance adjusters. My experience is their schedule is too busy to be available on site to help facilitate your claim. Anyone with suggestions please share with me!
I would appreciate your prayers for wisdom and guidance regarding my next steps. My daughter’s family including my 3 grandchildren live 3 1/2 hours away in Waco, and would love for me to move there. I have lived in a small Texas hill country town for 43 years and am considering that option.
I am so grateful for this SRT community and praying for you as well. ❤️
