Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
For this reading plan, we worked to memorize Matthew 9:35–36. Spend some time today reviewing the full passage. Keep this passage in mind as you continue to grow in your understanding of Jesus’s life and ministry on earth, remembering His compassion, power, and authority.
Jesus continued going around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected, like sheep without a shepherd.
—Matthew 9:35–36

Lauren, welcome. You will love the subscription box, and especially this group. They will pray for you and encourage you. Its been such a blessing to me over the past 2 years
I LOVE this song
Aimee, I do mine at night as well. It’s the perfect ending to my day. And it’s the one time my house is quiet and am able to pray through the requests.
I started this journey with Jesus and all of you, and by the end I was committed to Jesus and baptized! ❤️
Happy Sunday! Hope it’s a great week. Praying for you all.
I actually stayed with it the whole time. I missed a day here and there but was always able to catch up. I do mine at night though, it seems a lot of you do it in the morning. I am not a morning person and I have to be at work at 7:15. I am a special education teacher at a high school.
JESSI Jesus refers to himself both as the Son of Man and the Son of God depending on the gospel you are reading. Son of Man is a messianic title that was used by the prophets, especially Ezekiel.
Lehua, my women’s group at church is also doing a study on that book! I am not able to attend every Wednesday so I am listening to it on my own and it is so good!
Thank you SRT for such a meaningful and in depth study of our Lord Jesus. It was most certainly a study I will never forget.
♥️
This was the first SRT Reading Plan I have ever fully completed. It was life changing. It created a beautiful habit of Scripture reading – I literally woke up every morning SO excited to dive into the next reading. Thr podcast was also a welcome resource. I started the subscription box and just received my I Will Give You Rest study book. So thankful for this ministry.
Spending the first 35 days of this new year reading about the Life of Jesus was a wonderful way to calibrate my heart and mind. I just love Him.

To fulfill prophecy. He holds both titles.
Be blessed and SING AND SHOUT PRAISES AND HALLULEJAHS to God and Christ sisters, for all we have to do is ask, and seek and then we will find.
I Thank Jesus for his compassion that he shows to me. So that I may be forgiven and that I may rest in the knowledge that I am a loved daughter of God.
Thank You God, Thank You Jesus!
Good morning ladies, happy Sunday from Hawai’i! I’ve missed you all – I’ve been doing a Bible Study on Get Out of Your Head by Jennie Allen with our women’s group at church, and it’s been challenging to keep up with both studies so I took a break from SRT. I just wanted to say hi and thank you for your love toward each other, your prayers and reflections. I look forward to coming back once the study is done ❤️ have a beautiful week ahead!
@ KELLY(Neo) Loved the Psalm you shared. Especially verses 12-22!
I love how scripture shines a light on Jesus’s compassion for people because He could see their needs. I know that He gives me His compassion for those around me and my prayer is that I can translate that compassion into action and allow Him to flow through me. I’m naturally not a ‘people person ‘- I find being around people for a long period exhausting as I try to make conversation- so I know that I can only do this by His strength. But I am willing ……
Wonderful scripture
❤️❤️❤️
Amen
Why does Jesus refer to himself as the Son of Man instead of the Son of God?
I meant to share this earlier. We sang this Phil Wickham song at church last week. All week as we walked with Jesus, the words stayed with me. If you aren’t familiar with it, please play it and let the words really speak hope to you.
“How great the chasm that lay between us
How high the mountain I could not climb
In desperation, I turned to heaven
And spoke your name into the night
Then through the darkness
Your loving kindness
Tore through the shadows of my soul
The work is finished, the end is written
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Who could imagine so great a mercy?
What heart could fathom such boundless grace?
The God of ages stepped down from glory
To wear my sin and bear my shame
The cross has spoken, I am forgiven
The king of kings calls me His own
Beautiful savior, I’m yours forever
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Hallelujah, praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Hallelujah, praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence, the roaring lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Then came the morning that sealed the promise
Your buried body began to breathe
Out of the silence, the roaring lion
Declared the grave has no claim on me
Jesus, yours is the victory, whoa!
Hallelujah, praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Hallelujah, praise the one who set me free
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me
You have broken every chain
There’s salvation in your name
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Jesus Christ, my living hope
Oh God, you are my living hope.
Hugs and Prayers for all today. Sickness, sadness, anxiety, fear, sorrow, confusion. May you feel the presence of the Lord today, tenderly and fully. Amen ❤️
KELLY NEO, Thanks for posting one of my favorite passages. SRT, THANK YOU for this enlightening and challenging study! Beautifully done!!! God bless you all in structuring each future study. Our world needs HOPE and we find it here in this precious community! Have a restful and worshipful Sunday, ladies!
God still sees us, and knows where we lack. Have a blessed day ladies!
Psalm 33
1 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones; praise from the upright is beautiful.
2 Praise the Lord with the lyre;
make music to him with a ten-stringed harp.
3 Sing a new song to him; play skillfully on the strings, with a joyful shout.
4 For the word of the Lord is right, and all his work is trustworthy.
5 He loves righteousness and justice;the earth is full of the Lord’s unfailing love.
6 The heavens were made by the word of the Lord, and all the stars, by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the water of the sea into a heap;he puts the depths into storehouses.
8 Let the whole earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
9 For he spoke, and it came into being; he commanded, and it came into existence.
10 The Lord frustrates the counsel of the nations; he thwarts the plans of the peoples.
11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart from generation to generation.
12 Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord—the people he has chosen to be his own possession!
13 The Lord looks down from heaven; he observes everyone.
14 He gazes on all the inhabitants of the earth from his dwelling place.
15 He forms the hearts of them all; he considers all their works.
16 A king is not saved by a large army; a warrior will not be rescued by great strength.
17 The horse is a false hope for safety; it provides no escape by its great power.
18 But look, the Lord keeps his eye on those who fear him—
those who depend on his faithful love
19 to rescue them from death
and to keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait for the Lord; he is our help and shield.
21 For our hearts rejoice in him
because we trust in his holy name.
22 May your faithful love rest on us, Lord, for we put our hope in you.
Worship our risen Savior today Shes!
