Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
This week, we will continue memorizing 2 Timothy 3:16–17 by adding verse 17. Here, Paul declares the effects of God’s Word when it’s applied to our lives.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Thank you Traci Gendron. Important words to contemplate. (And from what you have shared in past posts you have positively touched so many lives and are an inspiration to many)
I try to ask myself: How is my life drawing others to God? Help me to replace judgement of others with love. Amen.
Recovering Traumatized Christian, thank you for your words of concern for my sister as I reconnect with her and encourage her to return to the faith of her youth. I’m sorry for all the pain you yourself have experienced. My sister has not been traumatized in the manner you suggested. She has made some poor choices over the years and the consequences have embittered her. She has strong opinions on the stance of the church and has found Christians to be hypocritical. She has also been heavily influenced by a nephew who is Jewish who has gone the path of Buddhism and landed now as an atheist. I’m so grateful she has opened the door for conversation after all these years. Thank you for praying for both of us. Your sensitive heart came through in your words.
♥️
Rhonda, I have slowly been moving away from Netflix and social media to open my Bible instead. I’ve found too if I want to play a game, to listen to a sermon while doing so. Also I started watching The Chosen about the life of Jesus and wow! I have so many questions. I feel God helping me desire knowing Him more and not desiring social media or tv shows anymore. I feel like I don’t have enough time to fully know Him – but the amazing thing is, we get eternity to keep learning more about who God is!
Good morning! I’ve just started with She Reads Truth with this Timothy study. I am loving these studies and am planning to continue for the whole year. I’m starting a small group at church and we will follow the She Reads Truth studies. I could use prayer for this group. It’s new and launches next month. I am hoping I can encourage some of my neighbors to join. Also please pray for my mom. It’s taken me 15 years to share the gospel and my testimony with my mom. I finally did last night but I’m heartbroken because she just kept saying she thinks good people go to heaven. She thinks if you are good, you should go to heaven. And I was trying to explain how none of us our good and we need Jesus. Asked if she has read any of the Bible I gave her 15 years ago and she said no. I am praying that God will show Himself to her. Thanks for any prayers for my family. My dad, my brother, my husbands family. And my neighbors and my coworkers. My heart breaks for all the people in my life who don’t know Jesus as their savior. Life is better with Jesus!
I am glad God opened a window for you to reconnect and minister to your sister who has fallen away. May I make a suggestion though? I have come across a lot of “former Christians” who are now “Atheists”, and that number is growing. These former Christians were once on fire for the Lord, but left due to crimes committed against them which traumatized them so badly that they cannot separate God from the hypocritical Christian in the church. If the church tried to cover it up or “blew off her pain”, this is probably why she “left her first love”. There are a number of websites devoted to former Christians who once were on fire for the Lord but are now devout Atheists. Everyone of them (male and female) were raped by church leadership either as children or adults.
I am not saying this happened to your sister, but, what you describe sounds just like someone who was violated in this fashion.
Pray to the Lord for wisdom and guidance on whether you should broach this subject with your sister. The Lord may or may not want you to, but if I am right, please don’t condemn your sister. She is already in enough pain. She may have alienated you because she was alienated by everyone else and automatically believed you hated her too and wanted nothing from her. You have no idea how difficult it is…to trust again after being violated by a church leader, and then abandoned and thrown “under the bus” by the church and family.
I will pray for your sister and you.
Spent five hours today with my sister. Once a person of faith she now declares herself an atheist. We have reconnected after several years of estrangement (her choice, not mine). Our conversations were tentative at first but we are slowly moving towards a discussion about faith. There’s some hostility there but I sense she is restraining herself so as not to damage our relationship. I’m treading lightly, completely dependent on the Holy Spirit’s guidance. I’ve been able to weave in some Scripture, trusting that she will feel God’s breath as I share His Word. I have so much Good News she needs to remember. Please pray that we both are respectful yet honest. I so want her to know my love for her and even more so, God’s love.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the (wo)man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
His Word so true, His love so precious, His grace, new every day, I am blessed. And if I am blessed, I can bless others through Christ who strengthens me..
AMEN.
Happy Sunday, daughters of the Most High God… You are loved, loved, loved…❤
It is a bit heartbreaking to see how unhappy people could be happy, but they don’t want to hear the news. We hold the answers! God has blessed us all with His way to live this life. But I believe we first need to remove the planks from our eye before we can truly bring anyone to Christ. It is by the quiet example of how our lives are changing that we may draw someone to God. I pray to press on and learn God’s word everyday. To be that quiet example. For others to see my faith without me having to push it on anyone. That will just turn people away. We all have heard stories from others that have had that bad experience from a christian thinking they were doing good, but only to push someone away. To feel judged when we are not the ones to be judging.
I love this Rhonda thank you!
Opening my Bible every day ❤️
Amen!

This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God’s Word is Truth. So we read.
We engage with God’s Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.
From the SRT page. God’s WORD is TRUTH! Amen. I am so glad to have found SRT 6 or so years ago! I show up, with you my friends, to learn God’s Word to us His people. Don’t we take for granted that we are lucky enough to have the Bible yet so many people don’t have one or it is collecting dust? And now you can access it easily on your phone, but we absentmindedly go to a social media site and scroll. Or we binge junk on tv and tune our ears and eyes to things of the world. I have slowly gotten away from these things, and can’t seem to ever tire of God’s love and direction for us that believe! Hallelujah! I love Sundays when I can go and sing praise to the One that created us! And I hope that each of you has a wonderful day! (My hubby has been sick for the past two days and is feeling pretty miserable. Prayers that he gets to feeling better soon!)
Good morning sisters, hope you have a wonderful Sunday morning. I’ll be working this morning, one of the disadvantages of being a nurse.
Be blessed and praise the Lord.
Amen!
For those of you who were interested in hearing my story., Here is the link to the YouTube channel for Bentley Creek Wesleyan Church. I am speaking at the latter part of the services today. There is a classic service and a contemporary service. Thank you for praying for me. All I want is for people to hear my story and through it for the Lord to be glorified. Happy Sunday sisters! https://youtu.be/xx9A6LZZWhc
Amen
“I will thank the Lord with all my heart;
I will declare all your wondrous works.
I will rejoice and boast about you;
I will sing about your name, Most High.”
