Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
For this study, we will memorize the key passage for 2 Timothy. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 gives us one of the most succinct expressions of the value of Scripture in all of the Bible. This week we will start with verse 16.
All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! I’m lifting up those who have lost a mother and who long to be a mother. I know that there are many difficult situations and circumstances out there. Please know that you can rest in the arms of the Lord and receive peace that surpasses all understanding. Be blessed!
DORTHY, thank you for that reminder. I too, had an aunt (Tia Carmen) Who was like a second mom to me. She lived with us while I was being raised. So yes I had a second mom. As much as I love my own mom, I remember her, coming alongside me during a painful time in my early 20s and really “being there” for me. I was blessed that I was raised around her.

How it warms my heart to know so many women are reading their Bibles and sharing their faith and raising their kids in a Godly home. I’m in awe of those women who are in places where it is difficult to read their Bibles, share their faith or raise their kids in a Godly home, yet they keep on. I’m so proud of the single women who proclaim Truth in a less than tolerant culture. This is Mother’s Day and all of you “mother” me and each other in prayer and faithfulness to these studies. Praying as we all open our Bibles today that God will breathe fresh revelation as we read His Word. May God richly bless the ministry of SRT and each of you, dear sisters in Christ.
Thank you all for your prayers for Mom. She got to come home. They never figured out what it was other than “an episode”. I’m incredibly grateful she home.

First let me start by saying Happy Mother’s Day to all those moms and pseudo-moms and step-moms and foster moms and let’s include aunts in that because you don’t know until later in the child’s life, if ever, how much you and your caring, love, and Christian way of life effected them. My son, Andrew, has two aunts and a grandma that are/were as much a mom to him as I am and have been. A mother is not necessarily blood it is someone who cares for you and loves you and nurtures you and shows you the Christian ways of life. Which goes along with the verses for today.
Be blessed and go live the ways of God and Christ.

I went through a school of discipleship class at my church a few years ago, and 2 Timothy 3:16-17 were 2 of the verses we memorized. I love these 2 verses, and I like looking at different versions of the Bible to see the different words used. The NIV says, “All Scripture is God breathed…” and the ESV says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God…” Such a beautiful picture! I am in awe of His greatness!! ❤️❤️
The NLT puts it this way “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
Praying we enter into the Lord’s presence ready to hear His truth so that we can be equipt to do the work He has for us.
