Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
As we read Scripture about the kingdom of God, we will memorize the Lord’s Prayer together. This week we will memorize Matthew 6:9–10.
“Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
—Matthew 6:9–13 KJV

I just wanted to say thank you for mentioning this book, I just by chance saw your post and looked up the book and read first chapter, and cried through it and purchased it and it’s been such a blessing because I have been through something similar in my marriage. I don’t think it was by chance Jesus let me see your post, and I have never posted on here but felt Him urging me too respond and encourage you to pick that book up also. It’s been a blessing for me! So thank you. God bless!
♥️
I’m so happy to be in this community! I’ve been in new age spirituality most of my life but found my home in Jesus!

Thy will be done in earth as in heaven! Father we invite you into every area of our lives so we can produce fruit – fruit that will last. Thank you for giving us an example of love through your son Jesus Christ!
Nancy, my dad lived in Maryland, I always enjoyed visiting him in the summers. I have such great memories, I hope to be able to visit again one day and take my children there
God forgives us

I live in Maryland- it was indeed a beautiful day!!!

I was challenged during church today to use Psalm 86:11 as a prayer. I want nothing more than to have a right fear of the Lord and unite my heart to Him.
Yours is the Kingdom, power and glory forever. Amen.
I this book two months ago. The title caught my eye. “Forgiving What You Can’t Forget”by Lisa Terkeust. I have yet to start it. I think today will be a good day to start.
@ Nancy – I lived in Maryland for 2 years and loved it! My dream is to be back there!
‘Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors’. If we carry unforgiveness we cannot experience kingdom living here on earth to the full. Bitterness rots the vessel that carries it from the inside. That includes not accepting Christ’s forgiveness of our own sin. Holding on to unforgiveness robs us of feeling (& believing!) God’s great love in our own lives, & the ability to extend grace & love to others. Blessings to all on this beautiful (in Maryland) Lord’s day!
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done. Amen!
Amen and amen!
@Churchmouse I was thinking the same thing! Then I considered the accounts in the Bible of Isaiah and John’s visions of heaven. Isaiah responded with confession of sin and John fainted. I wonder what my reaction will be…
@Struggling “He is your Father and Maker, who made you and formed you.” – Deuteronomy 32:6 NCV
May you all celebrate this Lord’s Day
Thy kingdom come, seeing heaven on earth…happens when God’s will is done. When we, as believers, live in humility, peace, joy, service, righteousness, and justice. On earth as it is in heaven.
“Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
In heaven the response to God’s will is always “yes!” May we respond with the same “yes!” to God’s will here on earth.
I have said this prayer so many times but sometimes just reading something can make it hit more powerfully. Needed this today. His will. Not mine. Amen.
Thank You, Father. ❤
