Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the good news of Jesus with us wherever we go.
Over the last two weeks, we’ve worked on memorizing Joshua 1:9. This week, we will memorize the final line of the verse. Repeat the pattern of saying it aloud three times, then writing it out by hand three times.
“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous?
Do not be afraid or discouraged,
for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
—Joshua 1:9

Your word is a lamp unto my feet!
The fact that God is with us in Spirit can give us courage
Thank you for your prayers- he is still missing
L V thank you for your post. It’s so true that God is with us always. Even when we don’t feel Him near. I needed to be reminded of this because for the last few days I have been struggling with finding time to pray and read God’s word. Please pray with me that God wakes me up early, before the busyness of the day starts.
I have a necklace in the form of a shield that is inscribed with Joshua 1:9. It was given to me by a military chaplain during my time in the Air Force. After my husband passed away in 2019 I started wearing the necklace all of the time. Joshua 1:9 gives me strength and restores my hope. God is good!! ❤️
Amen, Lord I need You
God is always with me. I have life abundant in Christ!
God is with me, even when I feel stuck spiritually, he is with me on my journey at all points. The ups and downs. When I feel him and when I don’t.
Praying with you! I can’t imagine. “Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” How timely a verse for this little boy and his mother.
Love
Thank you ❤️
@ Heather and Melanie. Thank you for praying. Thank you all. My nephew is doing better and my sister is still hospitalized but doing much better. She’s getting the medication that she needs.
She called my mom yesterday.
This has caused some stress on the family. But we can do this because we have Jesus and the faithful prayers of all of you. Have a blessed Sunday! It’s a gorgeous sunny day here in California.
February 22, as I walked to work, (I mentioned this here) there was an acronym to the word COVID on the paved trail and at the bottom in BIG letters was written Joshua 1:9. Made me wonder if somebody else who shares a trail with me is doing this very study.
Just in case you missed it: Christ Offers Victory In Distress.
Thanks be to God! It is such a powerful feeling to know that “God is with us wherever

Joshua 1:9 has been my favorite verse since I was 10. It hangs up on a large canvas in my living room. But today the phrase “do not be discouraged” leaped off the page. I LOVE that the word is living and active. I needed this reminder today as I serve in areas that are uncomfortable and have brought up lots of insecurities and doubts this week. I will not be discouraged today because the Lord MY God is with me WHEREVER I go!
Have a wonderful Sunday that is FULL of God’s presence!
Our God is always Emmanuel: God with us. And so I can say “It is well with my soul” – no matter what “it” may be.
How comforting…that The Lord my God is with me wherever I go. Have a blessed Sunday ladies!
My heart is warmed this morning, to read these beautiful words.
May I, as I go through my day, that the Lord God has blessed me with, know that whatever, wherever, whoever, however.. I needn’t be afraid or discouraged, for I am commanded to be strong and courageous because…
My Lord, my God is with me..
But God..
Amen!
Happy Sunday ya’ll wrapped in love hugs and prayers for the best of days for you and yours…❤❤❤
