Open Your Bible

Jeremiah 24:7

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize God’s promise to give His people new hearts to know Him.

“I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD.”
Jeremiah 24:7a

I want to know You Lord and Your Son, Jesus Christ. I want to know more about You and Your love. Thank You for SRT, my sisters and their many comments because they help to learn more about You, Your love, Your grace and Your forgiveness, This Lenten season watch over the world as we battle this terrible disease. Help us to spread the news of Your Beloved Son Jesus Christ who died for us. Most of all through Lord remind us the reason for celebrating Easter is to celebrate the resurrection of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

O God, here we are again…a nation, a people that have hit the panic button. We are allowing fear to immobilize us—no travel—no school—no military leave—a shelter and stay mentality that shadows us and just magnifies the fear and worry. BUT…YOU are perfect love and YOU cast out fear. You have given song lyrics that fear is a liar and Your servant Tauren Wells says “Worry is the darkroom where negatives develop.” Satan wants us to doubt You…to question You…to leave You…but YOU have given us the hearts to yearn for You-to recognize You-to know You and therefore we will always return to You. Thank you for Your grace and permanence in our lives. You are our God and we are Your people!

  11. Tina Laughary says:

I have this verse underlined in my Bible. Next to it I have written, “For those I love”. What a reassurance that God has got my loved ones in His hand. He will draw them back to Him.

  13. Katelin LaGreca says:

I love that God does the work of giving us hearts to know him. I can do my best to live a life that points to God, but He is the one who moves hearts.

    1. Jen Brewer says:

      Amen!

  14. Kathy says:

I find great comfort in knowing that I am not the one who has to make my heart know Him. He does it for me.

  15. Doris says:

May we Be mindful of God, our Father and of His protection and care of His children. Psalm 78 is a Psalm of how God cared for His own. Yet , they limited Him. Let us not limit God when man sees that he is limited . May we see our need for God and see that man is nothing without Him.
May many come to know Him as Lydia did in the book of Acts when the word says , the Lord opened her heart. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Middle verse of Bible. Psalm 118: 8,9 . Trust Him !

  16. Missy Knox says:

What a timely verse in a world full of fear and unknown future. Such a simple yet vast concept to know that God is near.

  17. Churchmouse says:

In this particular season, with much uncertainty and fear, may we bear witness to the peace that comes from knowing Christ. May our calm in this storm draw others to Him. May our faith in our future with Him continue to comfort and encourage us. Even as many sought the Lord after 9/11, so may many seek Him in this present circumstance. May their hearts be turned to Him.

    1. Mari V says:

Interesting you mention 9/11. Our services were canceled and streamed LIVE online instead. And our pastor happened to mention 9/11. If this is what it takes people to come together to pray then that’s a good thing.
