I believe! I am so grateful for SRT and this community of sisters. I love how we can come here and lay down our burdens, prayer requests, our victories and be real. I know when I ask for prayer, every one here prays. Please know I pray for you as well.

The New Testament equivalent of this verse: Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. That’s all there is to it. So beautifully simple. Thank you, Lord.

I’m trying to have more faith in Christ but I always feel like I’m wavering

Praying for you, Ashley, that you will know Jesus and rest in him. I find spending time in his word strengthens my faith, especially reading through the psalms where David expresses his struggles. He consistently comes back to praising God! It encourages me. Praying the same for you.

Ashley, you’re here! And that’s what matters. God asks us gently to draw near to him and he will draw near to us. Life is full of waves and that’s ok. I don’t feel him all the time but I remember the times I did and I have to choose everyday to love him.
Lord Jesus, thank you for Ashley and her heart fir you. She’s trying to have more faith but she feels like she’s always wavering. Please draw near to her and show her your grace and kindness. Help her to see that you’re the ROCK so she doesn’t have to be. All she needs is to believe and you’ll hold on for her. Deepen your relationship with and keep her in your loving hands Jesus. We praise you and thank you for who you are and we choose you. In your holy name, amen❤️ -
Faith isn’t about feelings. It’s most often blindly groping forward because you trust in what’s ahead. Keep loving God and doing your best! I’ll pray for you today.

Unfortunately i think it’s impossible to try to have more faith. It’s something God brings about in us through life circumstances. Don’t beat yourself up over it. Keep looking at who he is and what his Word tells you is truth. Know it, tell it to yourself and hold on to him no matter what. He is faithful!
When I walked through my husbands addictions in my early 20’s my faith was sorely tried. I floundered and groped through. God brought us out, proved his faithfulness. He let us experience loss, but gave us so much more than we had! Praise God he sees and knows what we need to draw us close to him and make us see our need for him! -
It’s okay! We are all a work in progress! Plus you are on this study of Genesis- which is the most faith based book :) God is answering your prayers Ashley! And leaving you with this scripture:
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17 NKJVIt’s possible to grow your faith. Continue to be immerse and hearing the words of God. God has got you! Praying for you too!

Another scripture to encourage you:
“So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”
Luke 17:6 NKJVMustard seed is very very very small (can Google to see). God doesn’t require you to have great faith to do miracles. He can also work w small small faith :)

Yes … our righteousness is like filthy rags, but a genuine relationship with Him and His Word in us washes those rags clean enough to use as our personal story to show others how dirty it was that The Lord washed us from. Like the cloth He put around His waist after washing the disciples dirty feet…He bore our sin and became sin though He was sinless!

The faith of Abraham, not any of his works, determined his right standing before the Lord. Faith, not works. Relationship, not ritual. Lord, increase my faith and deepen our relationship. More of you, less of me.
