Day 7

Weekly Truth

from the 1 & 2 Kings reading plan

1 Kings 2:4

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

This week we will memorize a portion of 1 Kings 2:4, when King David reminds Solomon of God’s covenant and the purpose of the kings.

“If your sons guard their way to walk faithfully before me with all their heart and all their soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.”
—1 Kings 2:4

May I always stay close to God! There is no other way. There is no other direction. God has been so good to me! May you all enjoy your places of worship. Woke up with a really bad headache. I am in the nursery and looking forward to holding babies. So I finally took an ibuprofen. No run for me this morning but that’s OK.

I thank God this morning for the falling rain. The earth here is so dry and thirsty. The sound of the rain is a reminder that all good things come from God. I look forward to praising You, my Father, this morning with others as we come to worship our Almighty God. All praise and thanks to You!

God I know I must keep laws and commands in my life in order for me to be successful. Your commands are set in order for my protection let that be a constant reminder so I remain disciplined, faithful, and serving you wholeheartedly,as you fulfill your promise to me. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Lord, help me to guard my way so that I might walk faithfully before You with all my heart and soul. You sit on the throne of my life. I surrender all. Amen.
