Day 21

Weekly Truth

from the Job reading plan

Job 19:26

BY She Reads Truth

Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.

We are memorizing Job 19:25–27, Job’s declaration that his hope lies in his Redeemer. This week we will memorize Job 19:26.

Even after my skin has been destroyed,
yet I will see God in my flesh.
Job 19:26

I needed this message today–a day when I’m feeling homesick after three months out-of-country. Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness in the moments when I feel alone.

  2. Steph C says:

Such hope for the joy that awaits us! Regardless of what today holds, one day I will see God face to face and will rejoice in His presence!

  3. Sue says:

    “…yet I will see God”.

May Job’s confidence be an encouragement to us today, no matter our circumstances.

  4. Kelly Lampman says:

One day I will no longer be in a wheelchair, one day I will no longer have Mental Health Problems. I will be glorified in God’s Home forever one day.

Good luck today Mari! What a great comparison for the finish line today! My dad died in December and he was a marathoner before he was paralyzed 10 years ago. He would always wear a gold link on his running shoes to show he was linked to the lord. ❤️We know he’s up there running and recruiting others to join him! Have a great day!

One last thing. Thank you for praying for my son Caleb. Two things: he and the youth group came home safe from the Mexico mission trip. A couple of adults approached me telling me what a wonderful Young man he has become and how he was a great encouragement to the team. Secondly, as of yesterday he’s no longer a boy. He is now an adult. I am privileged to be his mother.

Happy Sunday my dear sisters. Wow! I’ve never been the first to post. I’m up early to make sure I spend time with my Jesus before heading to the Start line of my local marathon event. So excited! It’s been 5 years since I’ve been able to run an event. I’m privileged to have trained with our Jr. High students from the school I work at. One of things that would always come to my mind as I crossed the FINISH line is SOMEDAY when I cross the FINISH line of this life I WILL SEE GOD! This verse was very fitting and healing as I continue on my journey knowing (and reminding me) that HE IS WITH ME.

    1. Melissa Dean says:

I also run marathons and have the same feeling when I cross the line, every time. Run well, sister!

      1. Melody Kruse says:

Love this! Our pastor in church this morning just used a metaphor of running races and I run with a few of the ladies from my church. :)

    2. Connie K says:

Excited for you today, Mari! Thanks for that reminder about the finish line. I too will be running a 5K with some junior high students at my school in June. Have fun today!

One day I will see God face to face. One day I will experience heaven. One day I will have a glorified body. One day there will be no more tears or suffering or wars. One day all things will be made new. One day there will be a new heaven and a new earth. One day. For now, I can only imagine.
