Scripture is God-breathed and true. When we memorize it, we carry the gospel with us wherever we go.
This week we will memorize the second half of the key verse for 1 Peter.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
1 Peter 1:3–4

Amen
His mercy has given me life and hope. Without His mercy all that awaits me is death and despair. He has given so much – at such great cost!
Anonymous, Anna, and Shelby Rae, I pray for you ladies! I pray that God strengthens your love for and trust in him through these difficult seasons and uncertainties. Remember that you are daughters of the Creator of the universe who loves you dearly, and whose Spirit dwells inside you, empowering you and guiding you. His plan is perfect, whether we understand it or not. He either calms the storm around us, or gives us peace and strength to weather the storm and come out victorious either way.
Anonymous,
I have a dear friend who’s new husband cheated on her multiple times and has never turned from his ways. They are currently going through a divorce. She is only 29. I can’t imagine the heartbreak. But I know that her strong relationship with God has gotten her through this. She’s kept her eyes on Him. Some days are better than others, but I am so in awe of how gracefully she has weathered this storm in her life. I pray that you keep your eyes on God, and know that your hope, your future, your identity lies in him and not in anything of this world (something I also have to remind myself on a daily basis).
Kept in heaven for me! Thank you Lord for that sweet promise!
Hello lovely ladies! Will you guys be praying for me? I graduate nursing school in April and I have an awesome opportunity to rent an apartment with a good friend of mine and one of her friends but we would move in right after graduation which scares me a little bit cause I dont have a guarantee of a job or even a test date yet to get my liscnese to be able to work. Lord Jesus,
We ask that You have favor over Anna’s application for this job. Lord we know that Your plan isn’t perfect for both Anna and her daughter. We pray that you make that plan clear to her as she navigates these waters and searches for a job. Bless her and her family by having Your will done in her life.
Amen.
Hello!
I am new to this community, and am super excited to be here. I recently had my heart broken when my fiancé broke up with me on Valentine’s Day a week before our wedding. Things got very ugly and I felt horrible. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I do feel closer to Christ than I have in a while. I have been praying for a new vision for my future, and recently came across some exciting job opportunities. If whoever reads this can please pray for favor over my application and that I continue to draw near to God through this season.
Praying for you!
Am I grateful for the gift?
We have been given an inheritance that is
imperishable,
undefiled,
unfading,
and eternal in heaven.
Because, a merciful Savior,
Jesus Christ our pure Lord,
conquered death,
was resurrected into
new life
and gives that life to us,
all for the glory and honor of His Father, God.
1 Peter 1:3-4 is a thank you.
Please, may I live the thank you
that glorifies You.
Wondering if I could please get some prayer… praying for favour and blessings on a job I have just applied for that is near perfect for me and my daughter. Prayer that if this is where God wants me everything will go smoothly.
Interview went okay, the interviewer only asked me one question which was very strange, because I was ready for a lot more! (And wanted to share a lot more of what I had ready for it). So it was a relatively short interview (9 minutes), since I was expecting 30 minutes (which was what the supervisor said it most likely would be)…so we’ll see what happens. I’m sure it will all work out! I have another interview this coming week, so hopefully that one will go well. Just getting interview experience is good too! Just gonna trust that God is working it all out.
I have a phone interview coming up soon at 12:30 EST! Prayers appreciated for peace and wisdom as I speak about what I can bring to this internship at Clearwater Marine Aquarium. And that God’s will be done with whether I get it or not. Love you all, thank you for your prayers!
Praying!
I may not have an earthly generous inheritance BUT I have an eternal inheritance with my Jesus Christ. In the end that’s all that really matters.
I can’t wait for the day when we will all see HIM face-to-face and all our troubles on this earth will pass away. I will remember them no more.
Praying for all of the needs expressed by the women here. Grateful for this community. “Cease striving and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10 This verse always comforts me—to remember that He reigns and that He cares for me and each one of us.
Great verse, but it’s the same as last week’s. Wonder if it’s a mistake.
Last week we were to memorize verse 3, now this week verse 4 finishing the truth of the verse! I think they broke it up to be easier for us over two weeks. :)
Mercy. Hope. And an inheritance. How generous is our God!
I did the same thing!
Woohoo! I accidentally memorized this whole verse last week! It was so awesome to be able to review it throughout the we while I walked, while I was in the car, awoke in the middle of the night, sipped on my tea at work, etc. god equips me through his Word and it strengthens me to face the day! I look forward to reciting this verse and meditating on it again this week.
