Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.
As we walk through these Minor Prophets together, we are memorizing key verses from our reading. The key verse for the book of Jonah reminds us of God’s compassion.
I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love, and one who relents from sending disaster.

Gracious, compassionate , loving God who is my Savior give me your vision and your heart to see and love the world. Often I see but get angry. Other times I don’t see properly and I judge wrongly. Jonah saw and was angry and what he didn’t think about was the little ones nor of the glory of God.

Thank you Lord for your goodness mercy and Grace. when I look back over my life I can see how your hand provided and protected me even before I knew you. your ways are too wonderful for me and your thoughts are so much higher than mine and when I am weak you are strong. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made

You, God… Gracious. Compassionate. Slow to anger. Abounding in faithful love. And as if that wasn’t enough, you are moved when a rebellious people repents. You relent from sending deserved disaster. You, God… Amazing. Me… Grateful. Hopeful.
