Isaiah 40:8

Memorizing Scripture is one of the best ways to carry God-breathed truth, instruction, and reproof wherever we go.

This week, let’s memorize together this verse about the permanence of God and His Word:

The grass withers, the flowers fade,
but the word of our God remains forever.
– Isaiah 40:8

We want to be a community that is intentional about Scripture memorization. Will you join us?4-Book16

So thankful for the app! Just started this week. It came into my life at the right time. This past year brought on much fear, anxiety and depression and I am riding the grief wave of multiple close losses in my life. I know God stands beside me and I am so thankful to be falling back in love with myself and God. I know incredible things are on our way that we all cannot even imagine. God is beautiful and loves to surprise us. We all all on this journey together. Sending love to all of you and your troubles. Praying for fast and healthy healing ❤️

  32. Delaney says:

I’m starting college soon and sometimes doubt and fear are already creeping in, but these seven devotionals have reminded and reaffirmed me that even though times in my life are changing, the Lord never will! Also day 5 really reached me when it said that there is “no real-life metaphor” to compare something to the security we have in God because nothing we know of is that secure. WOW. What an amazing reminder that we are held tight in His hands and that that security in Him is permanent!!!

Reading through this week has been such a refreshing and refueling experience for me. As someone who works in vocational ministry, it can be easy to get so invested in the “pouring out” that I end up running dangerously low to empty. I have greatly benefitted from this app! Thank you

  45. Hi friends, I need to ask for prayers. I am so anxious & sorrowful about death. I fear death so much and anxiety is so great within me. My faith is so very fragile!

    1. Tashona Johnson says:

      Psalm 94:19

19 When anxiety was great within me,
      your consolation brought me joy.

Sometime reciting scripture doesn’t always soothe things instantly. But you have to believe and trust that it will eventually… praying you be miraculously surrounded by the divine peace and comfort of our Savior… xx(hugs)

    2. Megan says:

Grace, I too have struggled with fear and sorrow about death. It’s helped me to remember that we serve a good God who is ultimately in charge of everything. He is worthy of our trust and bigger than any problem. I will pray that God will surround you with his peace and reassurance.

    3. Mary says:

Hello Grace. I know your fear and I also know that God will never allow anything to happen to you that is not in his will. Satan wants us to fear so much avoiding the inevitable but all he is doing is keeping us from truly living. I will be praying for you dear.

He paid my debt and I am overwhelmed with joy. Living in this truth is the most freeing thing. May He use me to share this life changing truth with the world around me this year. God bless, ladies!

  55. J says:

What is more comforting than His steadfast and unfaltering love and favor toward us? Than His absolute constance and His eternal truth? What need we ever fear when we are under the blanket of this God?

A very Happy New Year to you ladies! Praying this morning that as we feel the mistakes, missteps, joys, and earthly failures pass away with 2016, His grace will overshadow us and His love and peace quiet us as we embark on what Oswald Chambers beautifully refers to as our “invincible future with Christ” in the new year. And even better still – may we take with us that our new beginnings are not simply on the first of the year with the incredible and merciful God that we serve. His mercies are new EVERY morning! God bless you all!!

So many stores are closed and services curtailed over the holidays. How wonderful that SRT is always here, true to their mission of women in the Word every day. I’m so grateful for all who gather here who help me put down deep roots in Truth. All else will fade away. Truth will prevail. Praying God’s abundant blessings for all of you and a happy, healthy and holy 2017!

    1. J says:

Such a cheering thought, churchmouse – I too am so grateful that SRT is always here, a constant to return to and focus on again and again, when all the rest of the world seems to be quiet and abandoned. It’s a beautiful parallel to our ever-present, always-on-the-clock Father in heaven who is of course even more so our fixture! A very many blessings to you for a richly wonderful 2017!
