Since 2012, She Reads Truth has maintained a singular mission: to be women in the Word of God every day. Ten years later, our community includes “Shes” from across the globe, but our mission hasn’t changed.
Reading Scripture together is the centerpiece of what we do at She Reads Truth. As we spend time as a community reading This Is The Church, we encourage you to start by reading the daily Scripture on your own. Then join us here to engage and encourage one another as we respond to what we’ve read. Each day for this series, we’ll include a brief summary of the reading along with a prompt for conversation.
God’s people are all those who know Him by faith. Everyone reconciled to God in Christ shares in this legacy of faith as Abraham’s spiritual descendants, regardless of ethnicity or nationality.

Consistently since 2020 while reading through the Bible with my mom using She Reads Truth plans to guide us.
My daughter and I started this, I believe, in March of 2020. Covid hit and everything was shut down. I learn better studying with someone than studying on my own. So she suggested this. We started with Genesis and have worked our way through the Bible. For the books we could not find a study for, we would read two or three chapters a day and share what God had shown us. We finished the Bible and then started with “This Is The Gospel” and now we’re here. We each read the scripture and daily devotional and then we text each other what insights we’ve gotten that day. Sometimes we see the same things and sometimes something totally different. I just love how God works to teach us.
I’ve been reading on and off for a few years, dipping between this app and my physical Bible! I’m looking forward to exploring this plan, really considering what it is to be part of the Church of God and who we are as His people

Probably four or five years, but not consistently. My home church often publishes studies or plans that I work through, but I love coming back to SRT studies – I think because I know so many people across the world are also joining in; this creates a wonderful global family, and I love knowing that we are all reading the same scriptures.

I downloaded SRT today looking for a new devotional that speaks to me. Loving it so far and can’t wait to see the way God’s word is going to work!
I downloaded the app months ago however I am just reading my first day now. I need more of God in my life so here I am.
I found the She Reads Truth app very unexpectedly during the early months of my salvation, 7 years ago. I was hungry for God’s word but felt overwhelmed to enter into my Beloved Bible, on my own, not knowing where to begin or how to read His Word. She Reads Truth was a blessing. It brought me so lovingly and gracefully into the Word of God, gave me such encouragement to continue in His Word. Eat up every bit of it’s goodness. I love this ministry and its devotion to the Word of God. Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating this place for us woman. Ladies, be hungry for His Word. It truly is life giving and life changing.

I’ve been reading SRT off and on for maybe 7-10 years? I remember following some of the founders on Instagram when they were first launching! I love this resource, especially now in my season of motherhood!

Started using SRT on 4/18/21. Sometimes I do the current study along with the group, and other times I go through one of the older studies on my own. It depends on what is going on in my life, and where my heart feels lead. I always have several book marked and lined up for a few months in advance.

My husband and I have been struggling with our consistency in the faith but our fire has been renewed, we are returning to church and making commitments to be in the word more. I’ve been using SRT for over a year now, and I love it! I use to struggle in finding where to start when reading scripture and let it make me nervous so I would avoid my devotional time. Now I look forward to it, and have seen so much fruit from diving in the word in this way!

This day has us reading in Romans 9:6-8. I would highly suggest following it by reading the whole of Romans 8 and the previous 5 verses of chapter 9. This passage (9:6-8) is very important because it references the truth that we are children of promise, that we have been adopted and grafted into the family of God, into His kingdom. It reiterates that it’s more than just a blood relation. But, it’s because of His shed blood that we ARE able to be brought into such a true and genuine life and relationship. I know that this sounds like the typical sort of thing that we grow up hearing, but it just really resonated with me that we it’s more than a familial blood connection, but by His blood we are brought into this!

I started reading SRT only on the past few months. I started attending church again after more than a decade away and for some reason “lost” my Bible in my house and decided to go Bible browsing- I found this one on the shelf and was called to it and no wonder, it has been amazing, easy to read, so much amazing additions, and of course this app that has lead me to such great study plans. I just finished my first study plan and have moved on to this one. While also reading through the Bible from Genesis! SRT has put a fire in my heart for Christ- a fire that had been missing for some time.
A friend introduced me to SRT about 6 months ago and it was the most perfect timing. We had just given birth to our 2nd born and being up at odd hours I didn’t always have my Bible close by to read. I most often did have my phone though and with this app readily available I enjoyed those long nights & early mornings having the encouragement from Scripture, these devotions, and other women.

Hi! I’m from Tennessee! I’ve been part of SRT for 6 years now! I am a 3rd grade teacher and amateur DIY builder. I started my SRT journey in college when I picked up their book and read about the founders before I had ever even heard of their app. Ever since then SRT has been a staple in my worship and an extremely valuable tool to help me learn more and grow closer to Jesus. For the past 3 years my husband has been apart of the he reads truth community, and we love studying together or talking about what we read individually.

My name is Lisa and I live in Fairbanks, Alaska. I’ve lived here for 25 years, but spent my first 25 years in the Dallas, Texas area. I’m not sure the exact date I discovered She Reads Truth, but I believe I’ve been reading since about 2014. I have read consistently all those years forward and if I ever do skip a study (book), I am reminded of how grounded and secure I feel when I am in scripture after returning to the Word in the next study I do read. No matter how my political views change, my kids change and grow, or my relationships change, I can still be in the Word everyday, and my relationship with Jesus doesn’t change, except for growing stronger. I have been following SRT since 2016 when one of the high schoolers in the small group I was leading recommended it to everyone for a way to stay in the word during the summer. I currently co-lead a bible study through our church, so when that is going on I don’t follow SRT, but during breaks and summertime I love that I can jump back in and enjoy the Bible reading and commentary and comments!
Hello, and although a couple days behind here, figured I’d go ahead and comment. I don’t recall exactly when I started with SRT, but it was before the app. I usually read here online, but had been inconsistent until this year with the Coming to Life Lent study. I loved reading through Ezekiel through the Lent Study, because when I read Ezekiel on my own in 2021 while reading through the Bible, I did not connect to it at all! I’ve been going through each study “in real time” since Lent, since one of my goals for 2022 was to be in the Word every day. I currently reside in Aurora, Colorado, and the Spirit has been nudging me toward growth in my faith, through the local church I joined, as well as deeper study of His Word.

You know, the more good stuff you put in, the less junk comes out. It’s paramount for my mental health, I have found. My sister actually found this on Facebook and tagged me in it and I jumped on it! I learned so much and was super excited that they had a podcast as Kelly was going to take a break to work on other projects. Once I listened, I was hooked! I appreciated being in the Word everyday and the fact that it is geared more on digging into the Word over reading mostly someone else’s view on the Word. We’ve lived here for 3 1/2 years and I started she reads truth probably 2 years ago. Hi, I’m from England. I’ve been studying His word with SRT studies for around 3 to 4 years now. I have x 2 SRT bibles for my 2 children, and journal and date stamp in the bibles each day. I write my thoughts, prayers and explanations of the text in the margins. These precious bibles will be given to my children when they’re older. His word to treasure and dig deep into themselves.

I would do my daily devotions in my dorm every night before bed and that was my quiet time. I took notes on all the devotions and really appreciated how biblically accurate they were. I’ve been meeting weekly with my sister in TX and my mom in Michigan via Skype to discuss the studies and it has been such a wonderful blessing! Good Morning Sisters! I’m Amanda and I subscribed at the end of April this year. My hope was that my 17 yr old daughter and I could dive in together. And she could use this as her Bible studies. We homeschool, and it has been through faith that we’ve been blessed. I’m a single momma, and have been for almost 18 years. The first 8 years of my dd life I didn’t live a Christian life. I was raised in the church, a believer, but had turned down worldly paths. My son died when he was 2, my dd was almost 8. God flipped our world, and moved us from Washington state, to TX. Through his love, guidance, patience, and provision we have lived here, in Normangee TX, creating a life of peace. May 10th my best friend died. We lived on the same property, both single parents, different houses, but we were partners, him raising his son, me raising my daughter.

Hi She’s, my name is Tara. I am from NC and have followed the SRT reading plans for on and off 5 years. I listen to the Podcast weekly. It is all such a blessing!
I was introduced to SRT in November of 2020. That’s right, in the year of the pandemic. Our church pastor of 25 years had moved on in May of 2019, followed by our associate pastor. Both were following God’s lead to spread His truth in new ways to new communities of believers. We had an interim pastor whose lovely wife lead a 3 week study on select Psalms. We met through Zoom. There were 3 of us, and the third was a “She”. She shared that she & a friend has been studying with SRT for a while. I was intrigued and decided to look into it. It was too late to get the Advent study in hard copy, but I downloaded it and subscribed to the App. I was hooked. Over Christmas that year I invited a friend to study with me using SRT. We started at the beginning with Genesis & Exodus, then ordered the Lent Study, Since then we have done several SRT studies together. We just completed Acts which was Amazing! I love the podcasts that accompany the readings. I have grown more confident in studies. And I stepped out in faith last fall & offered to lead a women’s evening Bible Study at my church. What an experience! SRT has helped me accept my faith in the Gospel truth and to become more diligent in spending time with Jesus and in the Word.

Hi! I am from the UK. I’ve been joining She Reads Truth for probably 8 or 9 years. I used to read on the train to work when I was first married. I have phases of joining in or reading in other ways, but I’m excited to dig into what the bible has to say about The Church.
Hi! I’m Tami from WV and my mom gave me my SRT Bible for my first Mother’s Day, May of 2017, but I hadn’t really worked with it until this year, January 2022. I don’t know what took me so long to get into it, other than I had trouble stepping away from my Life Application Study Bible and the NLT, but I’m loving the CSB and I LOVE how SRT gives us Scripture to refer to in the “Going Deeper” sections instead of study notes! My first SRT study was “Open Your Bible” in January in the app, and then my first community reading was “Do Not Fear”. I really loved the Lent study of Ezekiel, and the Armor of God, “This is the Gospel,” and I did the Fruit of the Spirit study as I taught a unit on it to end my daughter’s kindergarten year (we homeschool). The podcasts are amazing!!!! I really look forward to them, and have found that when I am not working along with the current read (I didn’t do the one on Timothy) I feel like something is missing, even though I read in my SRT Bible daily.

I grew up in a very small town in North Carolina and now live an urban lifestyle in Portland, Oregon, aka “Stumptown”, weirdly speaking. I routinely show up late to the daily She conversation due to the dang time difference, and that’s just east coast to west coast USA. I’ve been following SRT randomly & then specifically for nearly four years. Study books, podcasts, Instagram, recipes!!! SRT’s a vital part of my daily spiritual practice. I have gained soooooo much more knowledge of Gods Word than all the previous years of my life attending church which usually focused on the usual stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and all the other highlights.
SRT delves into the WORD! ALL of it! Not just the main stories we all heard as children but the in depth details of God’s love and mercy and Christ’s sacrifice for us and the work of the Holy Spirit in us to change our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh!
This is my daily go-to for learning what the Word of God is telling us and also for the WONDERFUL ladies who comprise the community of SRT who I look forward to the comments and prayer requests from. THIS IS THE CHURCH ! We share our needs and prayer requests and the lovely SRT ladies respond !

Aloha from Hawai’i! I have been reading She Reads Truth since 2016. It’s what really brought me back on my faith walk; my husband started a new job then and I had gotten really sick (probably a lot worse than it should have been, due to worry/anxiety about his safety). Something inside of me (probably the Holy Spirit) prompted me to look for Bible study and devotional apps. She Reads Truth and First 5 were the two I found, and both helped me tremendously. In the past year I’ve also listened to the podcast which adds so much more value and understanding to the reading.
Now, 6 years later, I find myself in a similar place with my chronic hives and food sensitivities. I’m trying to place more focus on Jesus and His healing power than on my circumstances. It has been quite a journey, one I often feel like I’m failing at. But God.. He is so gracious, supportive and steadfast. I am blessed. I am thankful for this community and the SRT team, as well as the He Reads Truth team! My husband who is still searching, is not saved and I have been praying for his salvation for years. He’s slowly coming around, and He Reads Truth may be a great platform for him to see from a guy’s perspective.

I am in the middle of Missouri (Fortuna) and began SRT with Lent 2022. I love reading the Scripture and then digging into a commentary for further understanding. Hi everybody! I’m writing from Rochester NY. I started SRT in August 2020. I had bought a journal to document what was happening in early 2020 and keeping track of the pandemic just wasn’t doing anything for me if anything it made me more anxious. I found SRT scrolling through social media and since that first Bible study I did with them I haven’t stopped. I have found my Bible study time to be very centering and helps me focus on what is actually important in my life.

This community has gotten me through retirement, a move across the country from Ontario to here to be closer to our kids, through the craziness of COVID and through the hard days of dealing with challenges of a special needs daughter going through manic episode of bi polar disorder and the wonder of living on a small ranch in the foothills and being able to look out the window and see my horse in the pasture. Hi, I am from Highfields, in Queensland, Australia. I started with SRT for the John study at the start of this year. I came across SRT when it was mentioned in a podcast I was listening to and sought it out. I began engaging with SRT around advent 2019, I first listened to the podcasts. I think the first one I listened to was Mourning and Dancing. A woman from the bible study group I went to recommended it. I live in a different country now but I still have the app, read the devotionals and engage with the scriptures. I love how real and honest the community is. I also love the aesthetic of SRT. It reflects the world we live in today and doesn’t assume that we all live in a convent out of touch with the real world. The devotionals help me understand every bible passage, especially when I could never decipher it on my own. I’m so grateful SRT exists.

I live in Lebanon, Ohio just north of Cincinnati. I started reading She Reads Truth online in 2021. It was after my mother died from Covid, and I was looking for a Bible study that looks a bit deeper into God’s Word, with most emphasis on the Scriptures, and has a community of Christian women with whom I can share and build friendships. I have done all the studies online thus far. This is the first study for which I ordered the book. Although we’re just on Day 1, I think I’m really going the extras of the book and a place to write notes. Today, for notes, I did Scripture writing of two verses in the reading that especially spoke to me: Hebrews 11:6 and 2 Timothy 2:19

hey y’all, reporting from Houston and Phoenix (born in texas and go to college in arizona)! i have been a member of the SRT community for about five years now. my mentor showed me the Bible studies when i first came to the faith, since then i’ve fallen more in love with the Lord.
I’ve been subscribing since 2012. Yet in my sinful nature I rarely spent time in the Word even though these beautiful study books were delivered to my doorstep. I loved the extras, I loved the small cards to give away or leave on a table in a restaurant or hotel room. But I didn’t spend time, at least not not daily time in the Word. Don’t get me wrong, I did complete studies, every few months maybe, during Lent and Christmas for sure. But I never grasped the importance of the everyday thing. Thankfully, SRT stayed consistent during the past ten years. And my subscription box was delivered without fail. Faithfully delivered. I don’t know why, only this past year, I’m having to tear myself away from these studies. Rather than watching them collect dust on my bookshelves, I’m diving deep into the Word. I realized what a gift I’d been receiving after learning how parts of the world are going without, grateful to have even a few pages of the Bible smuggled into their hands. So when SRT joined the illumiNations 12 Verse Challenge I jumped on it. Maybe my decision to help fund this was in part, guilt ridden, I don’t know, excellent timing maybe? It’s not a coincidence for sure, we know those don’t exist. I don’t know what’s happening in my walk with Him right now but He does. He’s working through my brokenness. He’s working through SRT. So thank you, thank you, thank you for never changing a thing, for keeping your commitment to us, or rather to Him!!! Thank you for saying yes to God when a lot of us might still be saying maybe.

Card stock pages with staples in the middle. No pictures, recipes, background info, etc. The Word and a few questions. Praise God for how far He has brought SRT. I have been a podcast dabbler since 2020 and moved into in app devotionals in 2021, and subscribed just in time for the Lent 2022 study of Ezekiel. Since Ash Wednesday I have been a “Woman in the Word” everyday consistently – and for being raised in the church/christian school all my life, that is saying a lot! The only other time of deep daily study was my time with YWAM in Australia during my mid 20s. Such a huge blessing to see all of you on here chiming in! Hi Shes! I’ve been reading with SRT since 2014 or 2015. A friend & mentor introduced me to She Reads Truth and it revolutionized my Bible reading. Prior to SRT, I struggled with consistency in my reading and quiet time with God. So grateful for SRT and this amazing community.

Originally I read SRT about 6-7 years ago, referred by a dear friend Teri but I wasn’t ready for it. I was raised Presbyterian and always believed in God, praying and thanking HIM daily since I was a small child, even after losing my darling husband in 2006 while on duty as a motor cop I never lost my Faith. My spiritual life (very eclectic) didn’t include reading the Bible nor being committed to accepting Jesus as my Savior; that part was pretty flaky and had gnawed on me more and more. I wanted to get re-baptized for probably the last 9 or so years but didn’t want anyone to do it. Last year I got married again to a wonderful man and asked Teri’s husband if he would marry us. Jon was my deceased husband’s partner and he & Teri have been there since his death, steadfast, beautiful in their faith and probably the main reason I have committed to Jesus. About 3 weeks before Bill & I got married I asked Jon if he would re-baptize me the night before our wedding which he happily accepted. I told my then fiancé I was going to do that, and he had a look of fear in his eyes haha, but I’ve let him figure things out on his own (he wasn’t raised with any spiritual foundation but does believe in God). I see little changes with him but he needs to make the choice himself to follow Christ. I started back reading SRT fully committed with Lent 2022 and absolutely love this website (and all of the comments). It’s what I look forward to every morning instead of mindlessly scrolling on social media. I also read He Reads Truth every morning, praying that my brother Brian is reading it also. Prayers for Brian and my husband Bill would be so very much appreciated. Love and Blessings In Jesus’ Name ❤️ Amen

So I started reading She Reads Truth after hearing about it on a Christian radio station up in Iowa when I was doing travel nursing about 61/2 to 7 years ago. At first I didn’t do every study, I would pick and choose, but about a year later I stopped travel nursing and returned to the Kansas City area. I started to do it more regularly. I think it was only about 4 years ago that I decided to do it daily and I AM SO GLAD I DID. You, my sisters in Christ, have gotten me through many downs and celebrated many ups. WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED with some wonderful writers, fantastic sisters and MOST OF ALL two amazing women, who God spoke to and told to share their minister with the world. When I went back working as a nurse usually 10-12 hrs a day I fell away from it. Now I’m back! Our whole church did the advent book. Good morning! I’ve been reading with SRT since 2017. Originally from Honolulu HI, we retired and relocated to Las Vegas NV. My daily readings online along with the monthly subscriptions have kept me focused on the Word each day. I did not realize there were current studies offered until the next year! I love how the writers collect passages of Scripture together to teach how God’s Word is His Story of His love for us! Hello from Alberta, Canada. I started reading SRT when a friend recommended the lent reading plan about 4 years ago. I love that the plans are all mostly about reading directly from scripture rather than traditional devotions that are less Biblically based and more the opinions of an individual.
I’ve been reading SRT since 2018, primarily on my phone. Since having kids (now 3 & 2), this devotional is accessible for me between the many demands of motherhood. Thank you for making my time with the Lord richer and more meaningful with few barriers!
I have just recently found SRT! In May, at the end of the CBS year, my Community Bible Study teaching director made suggestions for our summertime “staying in the Bible” practices and She Reads Truth was top of her list. I am from East Texas. I’ve been reading with SRT for about a month now. I had a miscarriage in December, and one of my friends recently told me about She Reads Truth. I listened to some of the podcast first and then went through the Mourning and Dancing reading plan. And I just completed the Promises of God plan. (I also found out this past Tuesday that I am pregnant with our rainbow baby!) He is faithful and so, so good. I am so excited to be able to go through the plan with all of you!

Good morning from the Western suburbs of Chicago, IL! I’ve been reading since about the end of 2014 I think. I had tried reading the Bible on my own a couple of times but that never seemed to work for me. I always got distracted by all the mention of fathers, sons and brothers and kept wondering where all the women were in the Bible. I had heard SRT being advertised on my Christian music station and, after I retired, decided to give it a try and, SURPRISE, I found a bunch of beautiful “women in the Bible” right here!

He led me away from social media and straight to his word every morning. Greetings from MI. I’ve been reading my Bible daily for about 5 years now when a mentor suggested She Reads Truth to me during a ladies retreat. Praise the Lord! I had struggled with consistency before that, because as a young mom, I had a hard time being able to set aside quiet time. Having it accessible as an app on my phone has not only made it possible for me to fit in time with God daily, but it has also been a great example to my children. Anytime I am on my phone for an extended time, they ask me what my devos are about because they know I don’t use my phone that much for anything else. Again, praising the Lord for that. Thank you, SRT, for this ministry. It really is changing lives multigenerationally :)

GM☀️ She’s. It’s funny, even before I read the question, it prompted me to think when I first joined SRT. I’m having a hard time remembering the actual year but I do remember my good friend Gretchen introducing me to it. A very significant thing happened to me in 2016 and I was already part of the SRT bible study. So my guess is 2014 2015.
I discovered SRT in January 2021 and started with Esther as my first study. I am so grateful for this community because I was in a time where I was really struggling to. Spend time with the Lord Daily.

I started reading SRT when it first started 2012. To be honest, I don’t remember how I stumbled upon it. I just remember looking for a daily devotion I could do. I keep a journal, writing my thoughts, scriptures, and quotes of each days devotion. Hoping, one day, my girls will enjoy reading through them.
I have been reading with SRT on and off since 2016 but I became committed to reading daily last year around the time the Acts study began. It has changed my life! Reading the Bible each day has been so beautiful and I wish I had been doing it sooner.

I live halftime on the Olympic Peninsula in WA state – and half time in the CA desert. We moved to WA during COVID from Chicago, and I was introduced to SRT maybe 8 years ago by our pastor back there. With frequent travel, Bible studies that don’t meet in the summer and now moving, SRT has filled in the gaps for me many times. Love how accessible it is, and often share a particular lesson/verses with friends. Thanks so much!

We study in separate but companionable ways, she prefers the books and I lean towards the app but also subscribe for additional information. It’s been a rich experience. I have known about SRT for awhile, I have the SRT Bible. But the beginning of the year I knew I needed to start doing daily devotionals again, and the day I decided to start it just so happened it was day 1 of a new reading plan so I got to be right on track!

Hello, I’m from Murfreesboro, TN. I was introduced to SRT during Advent about 5 or 6 years ago when our church’s women followed along online. I didn’t jump in beyond that but it came back to my mind last September 2021 as God showed me after a really hard few years that my armor was gone and I needed to fast from all things not rooted in the word of God. I jumped into Deuteronomy with SRT and it has been an amazing 10 months of growth and healing and renewal of my spirit and faith. I am so grateful for this resource.

I have been reading a little over a year now. I haven’t missed a plan since I started. I accepted Christ as a young child at the age of 8 and have been a follower ever since. I have enjoyed and learned so much from many Bible studies throughout my adult years, but I can honestly say nothing has been more in depth and meaningful than SRT. Wow! So good to see so many responses today! I am from Western Kentucky and have been a part of SRT since November 2021. These studies have become part of my quiet time with God every morning. I especially love reading the comments, so much wisdom and community is found here every day.
I struggle with consistency of reading my Bible and spending time with God each day, which is why I am so thankful for the She Reads Truth community. The reading plans are what I have turned to for 4 years now to help me be more consistent with my daily time with God. I look forward to doing this reading plan with ya’ll from my porch in Mason City, IL.
I found SRT just after we started fostering a little boy who needed a lot of my attention and was looking for a simpler way to continue daily Bible time. Having SRT on my phone made Bible study accessible wherever and whenever I could fit it in. That was in 2015. It has been such a blessing!!

Good morning! I have been reading SRT for 5 years now. I started when I was a freshman in college and loved it.
My favorite verse from today was, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” I love this because faith is not simply believing in God but believing and trusting what you do not yet know or see.

Hi I first learned about She reads truth from listening to That Sounds Fun podcast with Annie F Downs. She did an interview with the girls from She Reads Truth. I have been a Christian for many years but have struggled to have a consistent time of reading the word daily. Since I joined the “She’s” a couple years ago I have leaned so much about God Myself and Others. I downloaded the app in 2014 after hearing about it on social media. I was a church girl looking for a daily devotional reading, which is something I grew up doing because “that’s what good church girls do.” My understanding of Christianity was checking boxes, not living by faith. Thanks be to God for the ministry of She Reads Truth! While doing one of their reading plans (I think it was Ephesians!), I finally came to understand the truth of the gospel and the Holy Spirit began to draw me to Christ. I used She Reads Truth on and off until April 2016, when God gave me the desire to be a woman in the word of God every day. From that time I’ve been reading my Bible consistently using their resources. It has been life-changing! God has used SRT to transform my heart and I am so thankful to be part of this community!

Hi! I’m from Arkansas & I’ve been reading on & off since 2014…I think? It’s been a long time. I’ve loved the advent studies & the Hymns. I love the focus on scripture first then the commentary. Many studies just have a very small passage or verse & much more commentary. That’s what always brings me back to SRT. The focus on the Truth. I’m enjoying the app for the portability & convenience at this stage of life but I’ve loved the study books in the past as well. It’s all so beautifully designed.

Hi friends, I’m Meg from Williamsburg Virginia. I discovered SRT about 7 years ago, and have done various studies off and on again since then; but more recently have been using SRT as part of my daily mealtime in the Word. I’ve grown up in church and have had a relationship with the Lord since I was quite young; and now that I’m in my 30’s SRT has truly been a solid place to learn and grow in my faith in the Lord. When I was in 6th grade my private Christian school had my whole class memorize Hebrews 11 over the course of the year. Back then I simply did it for the grade, but reading through chapter 11 entirely again this morning meant so much more to me now; and I can see now the author of Hebrews building the case for faith, that it has ALWAYS been about faith in God. I’m truly thankful for SRT and this incredible community of Women of God ☺️

I am from a small town in east central Alabama. I have been reading on and off for about 5 years I think. Annie F Downs introduced us!
I’ve been reading SRT studies on and off for about 7 years when a friend suggested I subscribe to the emails. I discovered and downloaded the app and have used it for about 50% of the studies I’ve done since. I never used the community posting feature and I found myself struggling to stay focused and away from the distractions of emails and social media when I was on my phone so I tried a few other devotionals but missed how much SRT incorporates scripture. So I decided last week to jump into the study book subscription box and this is my first study with the book. I moved a chair into the corner of the bedroom so I have a designated space for my morning quiet times now that’s away from the temptation of more sleep. And I’m feeling really energized and excited to carve out a special time and space to use a study I already know will help me delve into scripture and focus on God at the beginning of each morning.
I just started in May of this year. I’m grateful to God for this community and the word being brought forth on a daily basis. Since then, I’ve been keeping a bible journal and discovering a fresh love of reading and experiencing God through His word. God bless everyone! ❣️

Oklahoma here. I’ve been reading with you 3 or 4 years, maybe longer. Some commentary’s I’ve printed to read over and over, as it was the encouragement and/or exhortation I needed for the time. The last four years of my life have been some of the most difficult trials of my life. I would not have come out on the other side more confident in my LORD without his word. She Reads Truth play a huge roll in walking me through.

Good morning! I have been with you guys since the beginning. The seasons of life have not always created the space for me to be consistent BUT this resource has remained a constant which has been a massive helped to me in my own personal spiritual journey. This study could not be better timed for me personally. The Spirit had been challenging me greatly in my understanding of church and what I may have held as being valuable. I am looking forward to this reading and wrestling through scripture as God continues to shape my understanding. As I read through the text today I heard God saying ‘We come from a heritage of people who lived, breathed and moved by faith. And so we are a holy MOVEMENT that must also live breath and MOVE by faith.’ May it be so.

I am so thankful for this ministry. I have been reading the daily devotion every day since *at least 2015. Probably longer because it took me awhile to start a habit of posting a quote or passage on the Facebook every day. I recommend these reading plans all the time. I had previously struggled with a consistent routine of doing a Bible reading/devotion everyday. I found that once I got out of bed it was too easy to get distracted with everything and it was more challenging to purposely sit back down for reading. Once I discovered SRT, I started opening up the site immediately after I woke up and completing the reading before my feet even hit the ground. This is how I got the first time in my life as a believer finally established a rock solid habit of reading the Word of God every single day. Praise God, He has done a great work in me through it!

Hi! I’m in New Braunfels, Texas, between San Antonio and Austin. I started reading the Word with SRT in 2020 at the beginning of CoViD as a way of refreshing my daily practice. I love it so much and have grown in my love for the Lord and His Word as I have been a part of the community. Now I’m excited to be a part of Illuminations too.
I joined this community for the Lent study of 2015. My daughter had been introduced to SRT by a friend and then she recommended it to me. It is such a blessing to sit down with my Bible each morning knowing that women from all over the world are doing the same. One day we will join that great cloud of witnesses and will finally meet face to face. We will no longer call our current location (mine is western Pennsylvania) home. There will only be one home where all of us will dwell together forever.

I have been reading with SRT for about 3 years. I LOVE the accountability, community, easy lay out, and scripture to commentary ratio. It’s made reading the Bible everyday so attainable and enjoyable. Now, when I miss a day, it bothers me! I notice my moods shifts and my perspective is not God-focused.
My name is Savanna, and I discovered SRT through Pinterest 7 years ago in my dorm room. I was a junior and had just gone through a major heartbreak and a depression that anyone who knew me would say is very uncharacteristic of me. I believe that the first study I found was “Open Your Bible,” something I found that I desperately craved. It was there, in my dorm in 2015, that I re-discovered my identity and joy in the Lord. I have gone through some hard times since, but I definitely sit in them differently now. Thank you, SRT, for helping me then and for being an even more excellent resource now! Happy 10 years!

Good morning! I have done the Advent studies for a few years. This last Christmas, I asked a couple friends to join me and since then we’ve been doing different studies together on the app. We daily send a verse or something we learned. It has been so encouraging.

I get books for my sons and daughter and their spouses so we can read together during advent and lent and my husband and I have read several together as well. Reading God’s word daily, in community is so important. I have found the daily commentaries/ devotionals give me insights that add to my understanding. SRT has been a blessing to help me stay in the word and consistent in my daily walk.

I think it is important we go back to the basic principles of what the church was made to be and how we can take this back to our daily lives when walking with other believers and unify the body more to Jesus and what his vision was.

I’m doing the Bible Recap again so I won’t be directly following the SRT plan everyday, but I’ll still try to pop in to say hello and read the comments. Prayers appreciated for me as I continue to fight against anxiety at work and trying to possibly find a different job in the future. Also prayers just for being discontent in my life right now…I’m wishing that I didn’t feel anxious, that I was in a relationship, that I had a goal/career I’m working towards. But I was reminded by Matt 5 that it does not say blessed are those who have a perfect job, husband, or life stage. My satisfaction comes from Christ alone. Nothing else in this world fulfills me. My purpose is in Him. I am defined by Him. I work for Him, not men. Praying I remember that today!

PRAYER REQUEST: My roommate tested positive for COVID this morning. I work with older adults so I am going to test every day. It’s a hard situation because I work in healthcare but do not get sick leave for COVID. If I test positive, I will likely have to take unpaid time off which is unfortunate but I’d rather protect my older adult patients than put them at risk for a paycheck. Please pray for me and my roommate as we navigate this! <3

I’m Melanie, originally from Pennsylvania but now living in southeastern Virginia. I started reading SRT shortly after it began 10 years ago. A friend in a Bible study at my church at the time recommended it, and I was all in by the summer of 2012. At the time they were encouraging readers to journal on the writing and take photos of their journals/Bibles for social media. I’m both proud and grateful that a recommendation 10 years ago became a long-lasting routine.

Hi from Maine! I was told about SRT by a friend in 2013 and I’ve been reading along with you ladies ever since!! I have been both quiet and active in the community… a community which is filled with AMAZING women, who pray, give testimony, ask questions, humbly repent, encourage, uplift, exhort, and go deep in the Lord!! It has been a life saver for me!!! I LOVE how everything is scripture-based and how each day’s devotion encourages us all individually to dig into the word and to listen for the voice of God in our lives, which in turn.. fine tunes our eyes, hearts & ears to the Holy Spirit. SO Grateful for the word of God and for this awesome community!!!
Good morning from Texas! I’ve been reading with SRT for about 5 years after heading Raechel Myers speak at my church. SRT has done more to deepen my understanding of and love for God’s word than anything and I’m one of those who has been in church since I was born and have been a Christian since I was 16 which is MANY years ago now. So thankful for each of you here and the work SRT does.

What a lovely reminder today in the reading that ANYONE is welcome into the kingdom of God as the promise of Jesus holds itself true and what a testament to FAITH through the ages in Hebrews! So many people living for something they would never see or experience but felt as though it was worth it and better than the fleshly world they lived in. Praying to be focused on the already and the not yet.

Good morning from Northwest Arkansas! I think I’ve been reading with SRT for around five years now, but with the pandemic time is weird and I lose track. As I was writing that the hymn “Trust and Obey” came to mind. “When you walk with the Lord, in the light of His Word, what a glory He sheds on our way…” I’m so glad to have His Word in my hands where I can read it and write it on my heart.
Good Morning! I’m currently in VA Beach, but I discovered SRT about 8 years ago when I first moved away from home for my husband’s Navy career. I felt isolated, I was early in my walk with Christ, and I was hungry for the word but not sure where to start. So I’m very thankful for this community and platform.
