Scripture Reading: Ezra 7:8-10, Nehemiah 8:1-18, Psalm 111:1-4, Luke 2:41-52, 2 Timothy 2:14-19, Hebrews 4:12

If I close my eyes and try, I can still taste the first bite of the best steak of my life.

Filet mignon. Medium rare. A side of duchess potatoes. It was the highlight of a special celebration enjoyed with my husband almost twenty years ago. There were white tablecloths and tapered candles. We were young and newly married. The steaks we each ordered probably cost more than our monthly grocery budget, but they were worth it—goodness, they were worth it.

Each bite was a circus of flavor. Salty, savory, smokey hues trapezed through my tastebuds and demanded my full attention. This was not a meal to be scarfed down or slammed back. This was a meal to be savored.

So it is with God’s Word.

We live in a world that worships at the twin altars of convenience and performance. This ethos trickles quietly into our approach to the Word of God. How often have we surmised that the goal is to consume our Bibles rather than savor them? If you’re anything like me, the answer is often, bordering on always. We know that Bible reading alone doesn’t save anyone. We don’t read our Bibles to impress God but rather to know Him. Still, in our warp-speed world, it’s easy to see Bible reading as a “got to,” not a “get to”—a duty, not a delight. We need frequent reminders, then, that the Bible is a feast we’re invited to enjoy.

The prophet Jeremiah once declared, “Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words became a delight to me and the joy of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16).

First, he ate. Then, he chewed. Then, he delighted. When was the last time you consumed your Bible this way? Eating often. Chewing slowly. Delighting deeply.

Consider how our spiritual foreparents approached the precious Word of God: Ezra vowed to study, obey, and teach it (Ezra 7:10). God’s people listened to the Word attentively (Nehemiah 8:3). They read it for understanding, not obligation (v.8). The psalmist declared that the Word is to be studied and delighted in (Psalm 111:2). Timothy called God’s people to learn and apply the Word with diligence (2Timothy 2:15).

These men and women weren’t given greater appetites for spiritual truth than you or I. They simply saw the Word as the feast that it is and chose to internalize God’s truth deep down into their guts.

Jesus Himself was found listening to the reading aloud of the Word carefully and asking questions (Luke 2:46). Can you imagine? The Word-become-flesh, diligently studying the Word penned on parchment? Among other things, surely, He was teaching us that our Bibles are meant to be consumed with intention, not speed.

This is not about method; it’s about mindset. Consider this your permission slip to chew truth more slowly. Delight is its own discipline. The inspired, infallible, immutable Word of God is a five-star filet mignon, not a drive-thru hamburger. Let the taste of it linger long on your tongue today.

So true and so hard. Even while doing this study my kids were yelling for my attention, and trust me they are not deprived of attention lol. Most of my day is spent with the , but the second they see me doing something they want to tell me something, so then I speed read. But I know it’s worth it because my daughter has a notebook that she pretends to read and she calls it her Bible. However I still wish I could have more time digesting what I am reading. Even after reading the devotional and hearing about how it was the living word hearing the word, it didn’t even hit me at my initial read. But that is so powerful

  6. Mercy says:

“Delight is its own discipline”- so good! Let us feast on the five star filet mignon of God’s words and be nourished and strengthened in the digesting/ meditating day and night, for His Word is healing and deliverance against any afflictions, sickness, evil destructions. Let me be a good steward of Your revelations (1 Corinthians 4:1). In Jesus’ Mighty Name i pray. Amen.

This was such a beautiful reminder that God’s Word isn’t just something we read, but something we allow to read us. To reveal, correct, shape, and transform us. The goal isn’t simply information, but formation.

  9. Alyssa Fator says:

Listening to the podcast today made me excited to read through this book. ❤️

  10. Alayna P. says:

I felt convicted today. I was reminded that studying Scripture is not about collecting information or checking a box. It is about slowing down enough to understand God’s Word, letting it examine me, and allowing what I learn to shape how I live ❤️

Even though the idea of a steak doesn’t appeal to this vegetarian, I totally understand what Erin Davis was getting at. (Insert winky face emoji… hahahahaha!)

  13. Wendy B says:

Heavenly Father, what a beautiful benefit and great blessing it is to have your Word available to us and the freedom to read it. As we take the time to read and ling to know you more and in more intimate ways, slow our minds to savor, to delight in, to have it sink into our minds, to transform our hearts. Give us a hunger for your Wrord. As a community of women we desire to know you more and I pray that we are all encouraged as we seek to abide in you. We love you Lord, in your mighty and holy nane, Amen✝️

Welcome to so many new names. Great to have you here❤️

Savor, delight in, study, go deeper. I need to, we all need to go in a little further, stay a little longer. Let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly

  15. K R says:

    So good!

  16. Marya Kat says:

This goes with my conviction to use my physical Bible for the SRT studies. I tend to “scroll” the Bible readings but something about analog slows me down and I’ll even reread passages.

    1. Linda in NC says:

      Yes, me too!

  17. T. F says:

Oh my goodness!! I miss some good food! Recently diagnosed with a chronic condition and so many good foods removed from my diet. Reading about steak in the devotional has my mouth watering for sure. Lol. But, what a great reminder on the goodness and juiciness of scripture that we are to savor… bc we WANT and desire to. Dive in to scripture and be filled with all the goodness!! ♡

  18. Ellie Hines says:

We need to savor the word of God in our hearts and keep His commandments on the tablets of our hearts to live a life that is pleasing to Him. We need to read the word of God to know Him and His character so we can reflect His character in us to other people.

  19. Megan Padilla says:

I remember reading Numbers and just felt like I wanted to savor every chapter. Still I want to go back and read it again. I love Numbers because I I see the essence of Gods love and friendship.

  20. LP LK says:

This is why I love the book studies SRT does, forcing you to read smaller, digestible sections and really consider the whole message. A stark contrast to my vs readying a chapter

  21. Kristen Crutcher says:

Trying to learn how to slow down with Scripture and soak it in. I was trying to do the Bible in a year challenge, but I think it’s rushing me through and not allowing me time to fully delight in God’s word. I would appreciate prayers for learning to slow down in life and learning to truly soak in God’s word and allowing it to transform me through and through. I yearn for God’s presence, but life is so busy. I just wish I could sit in God’s presence and word all day but unfortunately life doesn’t allow it. Trying to make the most of this season I’m in and still making time to be in God’s presence.

    1. Kendal Rohane says:

I feel the same about never having enough time and really wanting more. I did the Bible in a year last year and found it to be a huge benefit. I’d get behind and then rush to catch up. I’d encourage you to keep going. Reflect on the little wins in life because sometimes the change is so minimal we don’t give ourselves enough credit. Being in the word daily will shape and change you.

    2. Em Wilson says:

❤️I feel the same way for sure.

  22. Teri Moss says:

I think also not every “meal” is a feast so to sit down with intention to savor and enjoy is such a breakup metaphor!

    1. Teri Moss says:

      *beautiful

  23. Gwineth52 says:

    Hebrews 4:12
“…the word of God…living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword… penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit…joints and marrow… able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
    Dear Lord, by Your Grace,
    I am open to receive.
I pray You instill within me such
    intentionality & intimacy.

  24. Tami says:

I was wondering where else in scripture God talks about feasting on His word. Here is what I found:
Jeremiah 15:16 — “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight.”
Ezekiel 3:1–3 — God tells Ezekiel, “Eat this scroll.” Ezekiel eats it and says, “It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.”
Psalm 119:103 — “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”
Psalm 19:9–10 — God’s words are “more precious than gold” and “sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.”
Deuteronomy 8:3 — “Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.”
Matthew 4:4 — Jesus quotes Deuteronomy: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Job 23:12 — “I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.”
Psalm 34:8 — “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”
Psalm 81:10 — “Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.”
Isaiah 55:1–3 — “Come, all you who are thirsty… listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.”
John 6:35 — Jesus says, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry.”
John 6:51 — “I am the living bread that came down from heaven.”
1 Peter 2:2–3 — “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”
Revelation 10:9–10 — John is told to take the scroll and eat it; it tastes “as sweet as honey” in his mouth.

      thank you

  25. Kaitlyn Whitney says:

Amen! I absolutely love my morning time with the Lord and my afternoon Bible study – but it can sometimes be a “check mark” to complete with the hustle and bustle of a busy life. Lord help me to slow down and truly be immersed in your holy word each and every day.

  26. Jessica Ahlers says:

I sure needed this! I try to squeeze in a morning study. Scheduled on the calendar for 15 mins.

  27. Wayfollower 1 says:

    Praying.

  28. Wayfollower 1 says:

Wow! What a great study so far and right when I needed it. God IS so good! I have to confess that much of my Bible time has been in the “have to” and consumer mindset rather than the “get to” savor mindset. God, slow me down. so that my time with You is about being with you, not getting it done. Help me to savor Your Word – both written and living. Amen.

  29. Susan Bonner says:

Since Tom’s heart attack, things in God’s word have had even more meaning. Different verses jumping out at me. May we all slow down and savor, even if it’s only a verse or two. Tom was fitted for his life vest this morning. We are thankful for the life saving measures that are available. We will see how he feels in the morning after sleeping in the vest.

    1. Cee Gee says:

Praying for a comfortable fit that will allow good rest. Praying for the adjustment with your son’s leaving. Have prayed for him earkier. ❤

  30. Caroline Bridges says:

The study book has 4 reflection questions at the end of each day.
    Here are today’s

    1. How is the discipline of study taught or modeled by Jesus? How is it discussed in scripture?

    2. How does today’s scripture reading change your understanding of study? How have you seen study modeled in a healthy way? How have you seen it misused or distorted?

    3. What fruit could come from practicing this discipline?

    4. What could it look like to incorporate the practice of study into your life?

    1. Ashley Reedy says:

      Thank you for sharing:)

    2. Cee Gee says:

Those are good reflection questions! Thanks, Caroline! ❤

    3. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, thanks for sharing! I have always wanted to order the physical book for one of these studies, maybe this is the time!
I would love to see what it looks like on our FB page! Maybe someone could add the questions daily?

      1. Kat D says:

While a lovely idea, daily sharing of the copyrighted questions seems to take advantage of the hard work of SRT over what they have so generously shared for free. Just buy the book!!

  31. Dr Jamie Shockley Owens says:

Yes! It’s so important to feast on His Word daily. It has the ability to change you!

  32. Kimberly Z says:

Praying for you all today! Happy Tuesday ladies.

  33. Gina Glennon says:

    Amen!

  34. Cheryl Blow says:

Loving this study!! Everyone’s comments! Early prayer at my church this morning and I can back and wrote in my journal that I wanted my time spent with God to be authentic not just checking something off my list.

This just confirmed to me God’s desire for me to slow down and sit with Him more!!

Praying for all! Thank you for all your stories!

  35. Colette Anderson says:

Mindset, not method. Good reminder. I’ll be savoring this passage today!

  36. Rhonda J. says:

ugh..my long thoughts, gone! When will we learn?! (sad face). My clumsy fingers hit the wrong buttons and refreshed making my comment disappear!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Ya’ll know this is like my favorite thing to “preach” about- READ the word, read the word..!! READ THE WORD. They was basically my long winded, Paul-like, long winded, appeal to you, speech!! lol.

  37. Karen Swanson says:

May I share something that has worked for me? One of the biggest things that moved me from my to-do list for God into a want to list was prayer. I specifically ask God In Prayer to make me want to study his word to make me want to pray more. Lord increase my faith. Increase my desire to spend more time in your word. Increase my desire. Over and over. And I can say that in the last several years those prayers have been answered. We can’t do it ourselves. If we truly want that deeper relationship we can’t just turn on a switch and be there. It’s not in our nature. May I encourage those of you who truly want to be in that place to pray that God would cultivate the desire within you.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

yes! And we don’t even realize it is happening, which so happens in the valleys and wildernesses. But we look back and SEE it’s profound impact!!
It’s a step of faith each day. And the Lord meets us there. This is so much more than anything on that list you may have. Now, in the season of toddlers, you may have to grab it when you can, but other than that, we all have time. Priorities get done, you will find. So the word has to be a priority, and will become a passion when it’s not on the to-do list anymore it’s on the GET-T0 List!! hallelujah!!

    2. Jennifer Carmichael says:

      Thank you for this, Karen!

    3. Teresa Cooper Donley says:

What wonderful advice! Thank you ❤️

  39. Tami says:

I am loving this study already! “The Bible is a feast we’re invited to enjoy.” I am doing a study by Kristi McClelland called “Jesus and Women” and each week she invites us to “feast on God’s word” – we are not beggars coming to the table for scraps, but daughters of the most high. God is the host and his Word is the feast. We come hungry and allow him to feed us. She tells of a Jewish teaching practice when rabbis teach children the word of God. The rabbi gives each child a wax paper with honey on it, and as the rabbi reads Psalm 19:9-10, the children eat the honey.
9 Reverence for the Lord is pure,
    lasting forever.
    The laws of the Lord are true;
    each one is fair.
10 They are more desirable than gold,
    even the finest gold.
    They are sweeter than honey,
even honey dripping from the comb.
Lord, would you remind us to slow down and to savor every word as we read and study. Give us a less is more mindset. Help us to feast on your word. In Jesus’s name.

    1. Rhonda J says:

So good Tami! Sounds like a good study!! Love the reminder that we are to “come to the table!” and FEAST!! Amen!!
I am a foodie, and love to savor good food and taste all the good flavors!! Even better with good, interesting baked good!! A hint of this, hint of that!! I always would scold my hubs for throwing a half scone in his mouth and barely chewing it! I’m like “you CAN”T do that…!” Taste it, let the flavors come alive in your mouth..lol!!
Honey used to be SO valued! It was the natural, first sweet…like that of an apple. I used to tell my clients, “if an apple taste boring to you- you have gone over the edge into processed sweeteners!
I use honey as my sugar fill! SO, so good!

    2. Erin Elizabeth says:

I’m doing that study too and thought of it immediately when reading today’s devo. So good!

    3. Cee Gee says:

I did her study, Feasting on God’s Word a while ago and immediately thought of it when I read the devo! ❤

  40. Jean Sitzler says:

I love God’s word being compared to a fantastic meal. When I SAVOR each sentence, I have to slow down and let it sit in my mouth and mind for awhile before going to the next bite. It is intentional and absorbed. What a beautiful way to describe daily reading of the Bible.

  41. Carol Miles says:

This may be my favorite summation ever!

  42. Tanya Evans says:

    Good morning She’s

    I have another prayer request.

    Please pray for Liz.

One of my friends is very ill. She has a kidney infection. As a result of the kidney infection she got sepsis. As the result of sepsis, she got pneumonia. She had to be intubated because she can’t breath on her own.

Yesterday at 9:00 am, she went into cardiac arrest. Last night when I left the hospital at 9:00 pm,she was in a somewhat stable condition. She is on dialysis and a breathing tube. She is in intensive care and is sedated. I held her hand and told her I loved her. She nodded her head and was responded.

I met her at a Bible Study for international students that I go to on Saturdays.

This all started Saturday. She was very ill vomiting and the ambulance took her to the ER and she was diagnosed with kidney stones. They sent her home. Sunday some friends took her back to the ER because she went from bad to worse.

In May of 2026 she graduated with her doctorate. She is from another country and has no family in the United States. Our Bible study ladies, her professors, and some friends from her country and Jesus is with her.

Sorry for any misspelled words and bad grammar, rogue punctuation.

    1. Michaella says:

      Praying for Liz right now!

    2. Tami says:

Praying for your friend Tanya! That God would do sniffer work in her body in the name of Jesus!

    3. Wendy B says:

      Praying♥️

    4. Rachel (CO) says:

Goodness! Praying for healing for Liz and for those of you who are being her family right now. What a gift your presence is to her. ❤️

    5. Rhonda J says:

Oh my gosh…so sorry Tanya. So glad, what a blessing, that she has all of you to be there with her. Very scary…and praying for her.

    6. Maria J says:

      Praying for Liz. ❤️

    7. Cheryl Blow says:

      Praying

    8. Teresa Cooper Donley says:

Praying for God’s Healing Hand upon Liz. Praying also for you and your friend’s who are there with her.

    9. Susan Bonner says:

      Praying for Liz.

  43. Sarah Jones says:

I was reading Jeremiah 15:16 last week as I am reading through the Bible this year and my prayer is that God’s word(s) will always be a delight to me and bring joy to my heart.

  44. Karen Elizabeth says:

So often I rush through my devotional time like it is part of my to-do list rather than savor it. Good reminder to slow down and savor, even if I don’t get through all the passages I am trying to finish reading. It’s okay if I stop to ponder and meditate on a verse or phrase that resonates in my heart, even if I don’t finish the rest of it.

    1. Tami says:

So true! I tend to rush through especially on days I have to g out work. The weekends are much better:)

    2. Wayfollower 1 says:

Thank you for this reminder that it’s OK to not get through it all and to stop to savor. I have such a check list mindset and feel the drive to finish and check it off when savoring is the goal.

  45. Susan Burley says:

I often think we take for granted how easily we can access God’s Word. It is quite literally at our fingertips! I bet the people of the OT/NT would’ve loved to have God’s word so readily available. Yet, I think there is such intention in God bringing his people together to sit and listen in community to the Word of God!

  46. Kim H says:

Ooof, I feel a bit called out here, which is good because slowing down is my goal for this school year. I typically treat my morning scripture readings as just another to-do instead of truly savoring the time. It’s hard because l have to cram so much into my mornings and there is never enough time. I even left my dog outside all day in my rush to get out of the house yesterday!! Anyway, the readings today were a good reminder to slow down and be really present…I am a better person when I’m not rushing around. Praying for God to help me do a better job at this because I can’t do it myself! For those of you returning to the classroom, love those babies well. That is the most important thing we can do. Have a wonderful day!

    1. Tami says:

Kim – I totally get it. I am also a teacher so up early and have about 30 minutes in the morning. It’s always a rush.

      1. Rhonda J says:

Praying ya’ll have a good school year! So thankful for Christian teachers!!

    2. Jane says:

Kim-prayed for you yesterday and again this morning. I’ve been there. 35 years in the classroom. Just keep reading! Some days it won’t “feel” as if you did more than check off a box. Wait for it. God’s word will not come back void. Amy Marble (becoming.clay on Instagram) does a great job of reminding those in the Word that there can be times of deep Bible study, but also times of just reading God’s word for learning His story. Lot’s of love and prayers for those “Image bearers of Christ” returning to school. May your Grace Days bring you good rest and refreshment.

  47. Lanie H says:

talk about savor. I’m going to choose to savor on that one line in Timothy, the Lord knows who are his. I’ve got to stop worrying so much about losing him, or not doing enough and rest in the fact that the Lord KNOWS who are his.

anxious to hear updates on how the Lord is working through Sharon’s VBS and Mercy this week!

    1. Teresa Cooper Donley says:

      ❤️

  48. Kayla Bostwick says:

“Delight is its own discipline”. Lord, please tune my heart to savor your Word, to acknowledge its power, and to live in light of its truth!

    1. Cee Gee says:

      Amen! ❤

  49. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

Good morning She’s, and welcome to all of the new She’s joining us for this study!

I have to run out the door but just wanted to let you know that we had 5 kids at our VBS. We did our very best as – as if we had 50! The kids had a great time, and so did we! Praise God, even though it’s small – what a blessing!! Thank you for your prayers – if everyone brought a friend, we could double!

Back later to do the study.

    1. Tanya Evans says:

You already know that that those are 5 souls precious to God.Your church is sowing seeds that God will water. Who knows if all five may one day become soul winners or missionaries!

    2. Cheryl Blow says:

Who knows who those 5 children may become because of your VBS? Maybe the next Billy Graham!

      1. Rhonda J says:

That was might thought/comment yesterday. Those 5 kids can be changed, and keep shining the light! Love the thought about the next Billy Grahm…or Sunday school teacher, or mother sharing their faith!!

    3. Cee Gee says:

      Such sweet encouragement! ❤

    4. Teresa Cooper Donley says:

Five is wonderful. The wonder and blessing of being able to touch five little children’s lives for God. They will carry the lessons they learn about Jesus this week for the rest of their lives. You’re doing God’s work.

  50. Aimee D says:

    Amen

  51. Colleen DeVeau says:

Thank You, God, for Your Word. Teach me to slow down and savor it, as I so rarely allow myself to do. I know Your Word is life; help me to live like I believe it. You are so good, God. Thank You for meeting me right where I am and leading me back to a posture of tasting and seeing that You are so very good.

    1. Cee Gee says:

      Amen! ❤
Thanks for the ref to Psalm 34:8- so appropiate!

      1. Cee Gee says:

        *appropriate*

    2. Teresa Cooper Donley says:

      Amen ❤️

  52. LaRae Taylor says:

    Love this❤️

  53. Kim Davis says:

Good morning! Today’s reading reminded me just how grateful I am for She Reads Truth and the thoughtfulness and prayerfulness that goes into each and every study. I’ve been a subscriber for almost 10 years, and this practice of meeting God in His Word each morning has truly helped me grow in my faith and deepen my understanding of Scripture.

My biggest takeaway this morning was that studying God’s Word isn’t about how much I can get through, but how deeply I allow it to get into me. I loved the reminder to slow down, savor His Word, and let it shape how I actually live.

    1. Tami says:

“ My biggest takeaway this morning was that studying God’s Word isn’t about how much I can get through, but how deeply I allow it to get into me.” – this is such a good insight! I love this!

    2. Karen Swanson says:

Yes! I made the decision to become a subscriber several years ago and it has truly changed my time in the word.

    3. Gwineth52 says:

“slow down, savor His Word, and let it shape how to actually live”
Teach, Kim! That’s one for the bulletin board!

  54. Hannah C says:

Good morning! I like how Erin makes connections between a meal to be savored and how we can read the word of God carefully because reading and rereading has helped me through so many situations in my life. When I am reading the psalm right now it reminds me of how much I have to be grateful for and that thanking God is such an important part of my day. I really appreciate these parts of the study a lot ❤️

  55. Kelly (NEO) says:

“This is not about method; it’s about mindset.”
    .
The longest psalm (119) spends 176 verses showing the mindset of one who has meditates on God’s Word.
    .
Thankful we are all hear to “savor” the words that the Lord has given in His mercy so that we can know Him and His good and right ways.
    .
May our hearts be changed and lives be glorifying to Him.
    .

  56. Sally B. says:

By way of encouragement to those Ladies who are working and wrangling littles, don’t be discouraged if your meal of the Word only last a few minutes! God is gracious to sink it down deep in our hearts and it grows more precious to us day by day.

    1. Lanie H says:

thank you sally! this has been so tough for me, even when I have the time I don’t have the focus. I was crying out to God about it last night and he said to me, do you think your heavenly father would badger someone who feels at maximum capacity to do a separate list of things? or does that sound like something the devil would do?

    2. Karen Swanson says:

Agreed. Seasons of life can change our time in the word. And Grace must be given.

      1. Linda in NC says:

Karen, I really needed to hear your statement about seasons and grace! Care giving consumed my time. It was difficult to give myself grace concerning my time in the Word. Joy is being back, able to put more focus on the Living Word of God! Even if I’m a day behind

    3. Nicole Burke says:

      Amen! Thank you Sally! ❤️

    4. Cee Gee says:

So true, Sally! Not that different from a physical meal! I remember getting a bite in whenever I could with food and the Word! ❤ Reading the kids Bible stories is still feeding our souls, too.

  57. Tina says:

This was a 5☆ devotional on many levels. As a chef, I truly enjoyed the use of how a delicious meal/dish can be compared to the delight and deliciousness found in the Word of God!
    .
Erin Davis, that filet mignon, must have been something!
    .
    .
I’m sitting at my dining table, as I often do, to do the study, looking out in thought, and out of the corner of my eye, I see my great grandsons book, “The hungry caterpillar”
    God is good right?
Let’s face it, that caterpillar chomped his way through a whole load of fruit and veggies, moving onto cake, ice cream, cheese( Swiss, at that)salami, cherry pie, cupcake and watermelon!
    .
    WHoa!!
    .
    He was hungry!
    .
WE should be as hungry for GODS Word, and as Erin says it should be a delight, a joy, a taking in and savouring.. because when we do this, there is a reward of knowledge, a reward of connection with GOD,, a reward of communion with GOD, a reward of great beauty within and without.. a reward of preparation, and I would further add to this we become cocooned in His Word.. transformed and beautiful..
    .
    We fly..
    .
    We become free..
    .
    And HIS Word carries us.
    .
    BUT GOD..
    .
    AMEN.
    .
Happy Tuesday my dears, happy Tuesday! Praying grace, provision, love and hope follow you throughout your day,
    Much love,
    Tina x❤️

    1. Mary Margaret says:

Amen, Sister! Today’s scripture, Erin’s message and your words all deliciously fed my hungry heart and refreshed my thirsty soul. ❤️

    2. Rhonda J. says:

Beautifully said Tina on top of the scripture and Erin’s word!!
Hungry for his word, indeed!! Keep the feast going until we are fat and well fed in his words, meanings, and blessings!! And we will EMERGE beautiful like a butterfly! I love the analogy of the caterpillar in the dark space transforming, as we use it all the time at jail- but I MISSED the part of how they have to store up the food to sustain them IN the cocoon and darkness! That is good for us to remember!! When we consume the word, (and utilize it), when we go through the dark time, we have substenance to carry us, and will even be transformed into something beautiful!! Only through God–Amen!!! Another component to remind them too!! They can read the word in there (often for the first time, to prepare them for the dark (the waiting time…or prison) cocoon!!!

    3. Michelle P says:

Amen! Same here, Tina! As someone once immersed in the culinary world, this speaks to me, too! ❤️
I think about when I went to my favorite fine dining restaurant in Philly for my birthday the past two years. Each time I made it a point to tell my friends to try the food and really savor it! Because it was all out of our normal budget! Haha. I love it because of working in the industry, I had picked up a habit of eating my food waaaaaay too fast bc usually there isn’t time to take a break. A good meal intentionally slows me down.
      This is good!

    4. Teresa Cooper Donley says:

Wonderful thoughts, Tina. And great insight from the replies as well. I love all you ladies and the way you share your hearts and knowledge. ❤️

  58. Onyekachi Mavis-Claire Ekeh says:
