  1. Shay says:

God wants us to focus on all that is positive, noble, right, pure, true, lovely, admireable, excellent, or praiseworthy. We those toxic thoughts wether be our own or started by others lean on His word and His path for us and think of all that is good in ones life. we are filled with Jesus and the love of God, He loved us first. This alone gibes us strength.
4:13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
^ That alone is what should be ones mantra when toxins approach. ^
Lord, God I love you like you love me. Amen

I have asked myself that very question many times! It seems so much harder to think on positive, uplifting thoughts and it takes no effort at all to think negative, destructive thoughts at all. I really have to concentrate on thinking right! It's not easy but it can be done. I have made it a priority to memorize as much scripture as possible so that I can combat those thoughts when they come against me! That's what Jesus did! He just threw scripture at the devil and he had to flee! I'll do what Jesus did! It's guaranteed to be successful!

I am so glad I checked in at the She Reads Truth website. I almost missed this wonderful opportunity to participate in this devotional. I enjoyed the last much and have been looking foward to the next.

I live the biblical principle of exchange. When we give up the things that God did not intend for us, He always gives us something in place of it.

We should always put in place the things of God as we allow Him to remove those things that are not of Him…THOUGHTS INCLUDED!

Praying HOPE & PEACE for you Joanna! As the old saying goes: “There’s only one way to go-UP!!”
Of coarse, easier said than done. But with God, everything is possible!
Take care, and go easy on yourself :)
