Concerning the location of Isaac’s near-sacrifice, Genesis 22:2 tells us that God commanded Abraham to take Isaac to “the land of Moriah.” In 2 Chronicles 3:1, we’re told the temple was built on Mount Moriah. Jesus was crucified at a place called Golgotha (John 19:17–18), which was a short distance from the temple mount.
