Good Morning (Afternoons), My She’s (friends!)

I am in such mixed emotions at the moment…I am really excited to kick off my new small group that I am leading that started this morning! I was anxious and nervous beforehand with an upset tummy, BUT it went great! I had 15 people which was really big! lol. It is wonderful to get to meet new people and know that God led them there for this specific time in their life! On the other hand, I have some family and friends going through some big trials right now. My heart hurts for my son and his breakup.
I am so glad that we can look to God and know that it is all in His hands, His will be done. Of course this is a promise for His children, and we are ONLY children of God when we make that choice to accept Jesus Christ! Nothing else can satisfy us, bring us out of the pit, and give us peace among the caus. The study I’m doing is Free Of Me, by Sharon Hoode Miller! We have freedom in Christ! We Praise you!

See you all in Beatitudes! At the beginning of the year I made it a goal to memorize scripture from then on out! So far I have about 4, BUT the beatitudes, Mathew 5:3-11 counts for more than one in my mind!! Also, if you want a great way to help remember them, there is a song by Elevation Worship featuring Pat (someone) “This is the Kingdom,” that says them in the lyrics! :)

  2. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

The part that always gets me – “He delighted in me”! The same goes for when I read Zephaniah 3:17 – I can’t fathom how God delights in me, a sinner saved by grace – but praise God, He does!

@Searching – I always claim Psalm 40:1-3 as my testimony! He lifted me out of the slimy pit, set my feet on a rock and established my goings! So thankful for God’s grace and the new song He has put in my mouth!!

I have enjoyed revisiting all these familiar hymns of my growing up years. Look forward to the two week study on the Beatitudes!

Have a blessed weekend y’all! Praying the rain stays stopped for the 2:00 wedding today…this is the rainiest spring/summer/fall that I can remember, here in the north east!

  3. Mari V says:

…… because HE delights in me. How beautiful is that sweet She. It’s rainy and cloudy here in sunny California as well and little cooler than what I’m used to. Fall is definitely upon us. But I have to say it’s such a cool and delightful morning even though the sun is not up, it’s not too cold, and I can hear the birds singing and it’s just a beautiful morning. Looking forward to run this morning. I do have enjoyed this past two weeks with all of you and looking forward to the Beatitudes. Would appreciate prayer as I’m waiting for some finances to come which are much needed. My daughter needs some dental work, and a couple other expenses that are needed. Thank you.

  4. Donna Wolcott says:

I enjoyed these two weeks. Looking forward to the Beatitudes. Here in the northeast we are having our 4th or 5th rain soaked weekend in a row. May the “Son”, shine on you and your loved ones.

  5. Adrienne says:

Don’t have in my contacts… thought the verse said He brought me to a SPECTACULAR place. Didn’t He, though?!?! It was hot here in NW Missouri yesterday, but we have the doors and windows open this morning, and His creation sounds SPECTACULAR!

See you for the beatitudes, SEARCHNG, and my other sweet sisters… have a beautiful grace day!

    2 Samuel 22:1-4-
“David sang this song to the Lord on the day the Lord rescued him from all his enemies and from Saul.
    2 He sang: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
3 my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.
4 I called on the Lord, who is
WORTHY OF PRAISE and he saved me from my enemies.”” (CAPS mine)

I have so enjoyed this time with you SHES and look forward to BEATITUDES on Monday!

    So thankful He rescued me!
    Psalm 40:2
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
    out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.

Looking forward to The Beatitudes on Monday.

Grace day always arrives when I need it most. I feel mentally exhausted and physically drained. Each day of the Coronavirus pandemic brings more horrific news. It’s so easy to feel despair. To feel depression. To feel lost and helpless. God rescued us because He delighted in us. ♥️ Lord, thank you for always being there. I will use every ounce of my energy to focus on what I CAN control. Help me use my gifts to serve others during this time of great suffering. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

What a great visual Churchmouse! You are a blessing!

  18. churchmouse says:

I had to have an MRI of my head once. That’s the day I discovered that I can get claustrophobic. So when I read that the Lord brings me out to a spacious place, I know the relief that comes from just that. I felt like I was being tightly squeezed in a very small space. All I could see was the tube in which I was enclosed. My vision was sorely limited and all I was aware of was me. And the loud clanging of the machine. It frightened me then. It makes me tremble even now. Ah… but when I was released from that machine, my vision was enlarged and I became aware of all that was beyond me. It was suddenly quiet and there was nothing to fear. This Scripture this morning reminds me that it is the Lord who provides relief from the tight places in which I find myself. He rescues me. He brings me out into the open. He draws my sight to Him. He provides all I need to take a deep breath and relax in His spacious place. AND He delights to do this for me. How awesome is that?! I pray that whoever today is feeling small and squeezed , overwhelmed with the loud noises clamoring around you, that you would know absolutely that He WILL bring you out. Because He loves you. He actually delights in you. So call on Him. Right now. His arms are open wide. Step into His hug. He’s got you.

    4. Frieda says:

You probably won’t see this as I’m posting late. I love your application of this verse.
I wanted to pass on a trick I found while in that MRI monster. I close my eyes and sing hymns or whatever worship songs He brings to mind. No, not out loud. Spending the time with Him in worship and prayer makes the process much easier/sweeter.

After trying for a child for a year after a devastating loss, today brought the promise of a baby in July. We are in a financial mess, & in debt. No health insurance. Fear (not from God but the Devil) crippled many minutes of this day.

This verse. THIS. I burst into tears while reading this verse!!! How I felt the pouring out of His love over me!! Not only will God bring this baby into the world healthy and smoothly, but he will bring me out of this debt like He has done so many times before. Thank you God for everything you are. I love you so!!

Also, thank you to this community of women. I love each one of you & pray for the encouragement & love that He freely gives to fill your hearts this day. Please remember us in your prayers throughout this pregnancy. God is so so good. ❤️
