Take each Saturday to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord with passages from Scripture that we traditionally read during the Lenten season.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him, because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer rules over him. For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God. So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
—Romans 6:8–11

Praise God!
Amen
If you are are using the SRT book there is a companion piece to write a prayer response at the end of the week, this week it’s Psalm 32:
.
Merciful Father,
.
How joyful is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered (v.1). I begin by praising You—not for my goodness, but for Your mercy. Blessed am I, not because I am without sin, but because You do not count my iniquity against me (v.2). Thank You that forgiveness is Your gift, not my achievement.
.
Yet I confess that there have been times when I kept silent (v.3). I have hidden my sin, excused it, minimized it. The silence has weighed on me; it has drained my strength and dried my spirit as in the heat of summer (v.4). Your hand was heavy upon me—not to harm me, but to awaken me.
.
So now, Lord, I acknowledge my sin to You (v.5). I do not conceal it. I lay it before You—my pride, my impatience, my selfishness, my hidden thoughts, my misplaced desires. And You forgive. You forgive the guilt of my sin. Not partially. Not reluctantly. Completely.
.
Teach me to pray quickly and honestly (v.6). Let me not delay repentance or drift from Your presence. In every rising fear, in every failing, draw me back swiftly to You.
.
You are my hiding place (v.7). Not my performance. Not my reputation. Not my strength. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance. Even in this Lenten season of reflection and humility, You surround me with grace.
.
Instruct me, Lord (v.8). I do not want to be stubborn or resistant like a horse or mule (v.9). Give me a soft heart—responsive to Your Spirit, attentive to Your counsel, willing to walk in Your ways without needing the weight of correction.
.
I know that many pains come from walking apart from You (v.10). But Your faithful love surrounds the one who trusts in You. So I choose trust today. Surround me with covenant love—steadfast, faithful, unshakable.
.
And now, having confessed and received mercy, I rejoice (v.11). I will be glad in You. Let repentance lead me not into shame but into worship. Let forgiveness awaken gratitude. Let grace restore joy.
Create in me a clean heart, and let my life become praise.
.
In Your forgiving and faithful name,
Amen.

“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him..”
.
Praise God for the assurance of our salvation – because He lives, we too will live!!
.
There are so many people in this world today, who have no idea what happens after death. Some believe we just don’t exist anymore, some – that they can be prayed into heaven from a “holding” place, and so many others “hope” there is something after they die.
.
We who are saved have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, He is our “down payment” for heaven. We don’t have to hope that we will live again, God tells us that we will.
→1 John 5:13 – I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
→Ephesians 1:13-14 – And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
—
Thank you Father God for saving me and for sealing me with Your Holy Spirit. Thank you that Jesus conquered death – once and for all!
Help me to live each day for the praise of Your glory, and to be a light to this lost world. In Jesus Name, amen.
—
Praying for all my dear sisters that suffer with chronic pain. ❤️

Happy Saturday!

Amen!
From NLT-
And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. 9 We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. 11 So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.

Giver of every breath I breathe
Author of all eternity
Giver of every perfect thing
To You be the glory
Maker of heaven and of earth
No one can comprehend Your worth

To You be the glory
And I am alive because I’m alive in You
And it’s all because of Jesus I’m alive
It’s all because the blood of Jesus Christ
It covers me and raised this dead man’s life

What a beautiful Birthday surprise I had last night- My niece and sister walked through my door at 9:30! They had driven all day to come for an impromptu visit! (It’s been a couple of years since they have come!) My husband was in on the secret gig!
I have my group this morning, and my sister said she plans to go with me!! She has never seen me “lead” a group–makes me nervous! lol. But I am thrilled to have her there and for my friends to me her and visa-versa!
The lesson today is how to Hear From God! If we are to be women to say Yes to God…we have to actually not only take the time to LISTEN to Him, but to walk with him (In the Spirit) throughout our day, and SEEING the opportunities to be his Hands and Feet!!
We have to realize we are not our OLD nature, for if He died for us to die to our sinful nature…than why are we not dying to our sinful nature? For we have to know it, receive it, and live by it!! Yes, Amen!!
Help us Lord to know that you went to the cross not only for us to live once we die, but that we LIVE NOW in a new Spirit!! Our once fleshy desires and ways have been rinsed in the water and we have been raised with new, flowing water daily! Let us be aware of this, and not only KNOW your word, but truly live your word, with NEW LIFE!! Alive to God in Jesus Christ!! Oh we thank you Father God for the gift of your Son, the spotless lamb, a last sacrifice to make us right with you! The veil that was torn! Thank you, thank you, in gratitude daily! Be with us, In Jesus name, Amen!
Pray we get my niece up and to church with us in the morning! SHE is one ya’ll have prayed for at various times over the years. She does have an addiction and I am praying for the Lord to deliver her from that!! She probably has been to church in a decade! (She is 23) and I call her a little Rhonda, living just as I was in my 20’s, so I know there is hope! lol. Also pray that my back and leg will have some extra energy the next three days, of course my niece wants to do it all in the time she is here, going to the beach, paddle board and fun! :)
Rhonda, how sweet of your husband and sister to cook up that surprise! Praying in agreement with you for less pain/more stamina for this visit and for wisdom and discernment in recognizing divinely appointed moments for sharing with them. Give your sister a hug and tell her it’s from Cee Gee and just treasure every moment. I miss my sisters so! ❤!
What a nice birthday surprise! Enjoy the time with your family, I will be praying your back and leg hold up and that you can participate in all the fun stuff! ❤️
I loved reading about your birthday surprise. Praying for your niece and back and leg!

LOVE this!!!
I love that they blessed you with this surprise birthday visit! I’m praying for your time together! ❤️
What a wonderful surprise!
Awesome surprise! Praying this trip will be a turning point for your niece.
I’m alive because I’m alive in you! Jesus help me remember to live like the living and not like the dead!
The dead are not offended, selfish, or stressed out. A guest speaker at our church a couple weeks ago shared that after a moral failure, a man called him every day to remind him to “go, be dead today.”
.
Lord, help me to be dead to sin.
.
SHARON, JERSEY GIRL – praying the move in goes smoothly.
.
MERCY – rejoicing with you for your little one’s restored health and the the promotion and your new friendship.
.
Prayers please. I’m going to the funeral of a former coworker’s wife today. She was only 37 and leaves behind 3 children under 10. Please pray the Lord will bring His comfort and peace to Josh and the kids today and in the coming days, months, and years.
How sad. Praying for this husband, and especially for the kids that will not understand and will have a hard time.
Kelly, how heartbreaking for this young family! Praying for them with you especially for a chance to minister to these precious kids and their dad. So tragic! ❤ Thank you for the opportunity to minister through prayer.
Oh how very sad! Praying for Josh and his family, especially these little ones who are now without a mama.
Praying for the Lord’s comfort over Josh and his children. Please strengthen them Lord.
Praying for this young family! Praying for SHARON JERSEY GIRL and rejoicing with MERCY
What a heartbreaking loss. Praying
Praying Kelly.❤️
Praying for Josh and family, Kelly, I am so sorry this has happened. I have been close to families facing this type of loss and it is a long, painful road, for the children especially.
This version was to ‘old English to me, so I looked upnthe Message version in hope of understanding a little more..

Romans 6:6-11 MSG
[6-11] Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer captive to sin’s demands! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did.
.
Could it be clearer?
.
Because of Jesus, our old ways are nailed to the cross!!
.
I love the line, If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection.
Life saving resurrection.. Amen, Hallelujah!
.
Jesus paid it all comes to mind.
All to Him in owe, sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow,,
.
And when before the throne,
I stand in Him complete
“Jesus, died, my soul to save”
My lips shall still repeat..
.
Jesus paid it all
All to Him in owe,
Since had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow.
.
Oh, praise the one who paid my debt,
And raised this life from the dead
Oh praise the one who paid my debt,
And raised this life from the dead.
.
ALL TO HIM I OWE..
.
Sitting in this thankful pose today..
.
BUT GOD.
.
AMEN.
.
Happy Saturday, dear hearts..
Much love covered in hugs and prayers..❤️
Oh thank you for your need of more clarification too! lol. Paul can sometimes lose me in his tornado of words. I like the message translation here.
