Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Joel 2:12–13

Take each Saturday to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord with passages from Scripture that we traditionally read during the Lenten season.

Even now—
this is the LORD’s declaration—
turn to me with all your heart,
with fasting, weeping, and mourning.
Tear your hearts,
not just your clothes,
and return to the LORD your God.
For he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger, abounding in faithful love,
and he relents from sending disaster.
—Joel 2:12–13

I believe they talked about “Selah” in this week’s podcast episode. I can’t remember how they defined it and couldn’t find it again. Can anyone explain the meaning to me? Thanks!!

    1. Rhonda J says:

As I remember …it’s a “sit in the moment, rest in the words.” I’m sure google explains it better but sometimes it cool NOT to use it at every question.(Unless I”m totally wrong, lol!)

    2. Cee Gee says:

Danielle, this is from Mounces’s Complete Expository Dictionary:
      Old Testament
Noun: סֶלָה (selâ), GK 6138 (S 5542), 74x. The meaning of this Hebrew word is unknown, though its almost exclusive appearance in the book of Psalms suggests some sort of musical significance. Perhaps the term identifies the type of music played or the way in which the psalm is to be sung. Of the 74x it occurs, 71 are located in the Psalms. The remaining three are in Habakkuk (Hab 3:3, 9, 11). Of the thirty-nine Psalms that use selâ, twenty are attributed to David (e.g., Ps 4, 9, 24, 39), nine to the sons of Korah (e.g., 44, 46, 47, 48), and seven to Asaph (e.g., 50, 75, 76, 77). This enigmatic term appears only once in some psalms (e.g., 7:5; 20:3; 21:2; 44:8) but multiple times in others (e.g., 3:2, 4, 8; 32:4, 5, 7; 46:3, 7, 11).
      .
The NET Bible footnote also says unknown, but possibly a musical direction of some kind. Interesting, because I’ve always heard it means pause (like Rhonda mentioned).

  11. Lanie H says:

hey she’s!! I’ve been working on scripture memorization for each book of the Bible and one of the verses I chose in exodus was when the Lord appears to moses and declares about himself “The Lord, The Lord, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in love.. ” I have been shocked how every book after references this. I find this description all over the Bible! so it was so fun to read it here today. I often think about Josiah, truly humbling himself, and what that looked like. It’s something I’ve been grappling with, do my actions reflect a truly repentant heart?

    1. Rhonda J. says:

That’s wonderful Lanie- what a good idea! Then your putting the whole of the bible in your heart, soul and mine!! I used to say I was horrible at memorizing…but really, it’s how much does it matter to you? How much importance do you place on his word, to truly know it, and have it!?

I wish I would have memorized and read scripture more with my son growing up. We only went to church, but he sat with me in service from 7 up. So he didn’t memorize as a kid. :(

    2. Cee Gee says:

Good for you, Lanie! ❤ Great to see you here! How is that sweet baby girl?

      1. Lanie H says:

wild as ever! she is in a climbing stage and very good at it I must add, so she keeps me on my toes literally!

    3. DW says:

      That’s awesome! ❤️

    4. Wendy B says:

Lanie! its great to aee you here. Think of you often and hope you and your precious baby girl are doing well❤️ :)

  12. Lanie H says:

CEE GEE!! I’ve missed you. Thats one of my favorite verses too. I think it may have been a SRT lent study that was so impactful for me Ezekiel has been a favorite for a long time.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Wow..I love that Ezekiel is your favorite! Very prophetic book for now!

    2. Cee Gee says:

Missed you, too, Lanie! That verse jumped off the page at me a few years back in a study with some ladies on FB. I have shared it here and at Sunday School. Cool that it’s special to you, too! Thanks for sharing about memorization above, too. ❤

  13. Mari V says:

“Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to the Lord your God. I don’t think I ever read this, or in this way. I looked it in the NIV and it reads: Rend your hearts, but the word “tear” really stands out to me which also means to “rip.” Rip my heart apart and make it brand new for YOU, my JESUS so that my thoughts and actions and my every being focuses solely on you. And repeating a comment below (Melissa Lance) one of favorite verses in psalms and one that our pastor says every Sunday. “May the words of my mouth, and this meditation of my heart, be please to your sight, Lord, MY rock and my Redeemer. (Ps 19:14) Happy Saturday sweeties! I was racking my brain last night, (nothing serious) over today’s schedule that’s suppose to be relaxed. Sparing you the details. Pray for my heart as I feel angry and really want to practice this verse.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

I love that….rip up my heart and (my pride, selfishness, greed, hate, sorrow, fear…) and repair it, fix it- with you, brand new!!

  14. Wendy B says:

Scripture points us to who God is, His heart for us. It was for them then and it is for us now. There is so much urgency, desperation and emotion, but also an obvious tender mercy and grace in these verses and a directed call to come back to Him – this is for me(us). How deep the Father’s love for us. My version (with poetic license) of Joel 2.

Even now, Wendy, no matter where you are at, this is the LORD’s declaration for you
turn to me, Wendy with all your heart. Come to me on bended knee, arms lifted high and a bare, raw heart. Bring your sin, your brokeness, your wayward ways, your questions with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Tear open your hearts, not just your clothes, and return and come back to the LORD your God. He is calling you back. He has so much for you and for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love, and he relents from sending disaster. He is is for you Wendy. Stay with Him. Seek Him. Surrender to Him. Praise Him.
    —Joel 2:12–13

I mentioned earlier in the week I’m having trouble getting back too and keeping up with all the great comments and responses. none more needed, heartfelt…
      This…Psalm 19:14… is the invocation
      of a disciple, believer.

  17. DW says:

For those of you who have the Reading guide, the exercise to turn Psalm 8 into a prayer was so powerful for me this morning. We arrived at the beach last night and after dinner, my husband and I walked down to the ocean and just stood and watched. The power, beauty, mystery and majesty just overwhelmed me, reminding me of the power of our God….and his creativity and mystery. The vastness of the ocean -how majestic he is and how vast and endless his love for us is. So this morning, to turn Psalm 8 into a prayer was so incredibly meaningful. I was in tears as I read and responded to verse 1. “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have covered the earth with your majesty.” Thank you, God for this beautiful earth you created. You didn’t have to make it so beautiful, but you gifted that to us. May it remind us of your power, you hold it all together, your love-that you are mindful of us, v.4. Thank you for your vast and endless love, just like the horizon we look at over the ocean.
    Praising Him this morning!

Yes, I kinda had the same revelation (after reading it yesterday of creation), I step looked out my window and the night sky was just so amazing! And same as I woke up and saw the pretty morning sky as the sun came up!! Anyone has to acknowledge God when seeing his creation!! Where are you…? I moved for the beach, 20 minutes away, and never seem to go anymore!! It’s 82 here in SWF today!

  18. heidi says:

I love these verses in Joel… it’s so, unbelievably merciful. You can honestly feel the depth of emotion and desire behind the words — so much of “it’s not too late, you’re not to far gone, you’ve not discredited yourself or disqualified yourself from my love, from intimate relationship with me…” I love the clarity, it’s not just a call to return, he spells out the how, making it as simplistic as possible. It reminds me of the words written in Revelation 2, to the church in Ephesus, they were DOING a lot of good and right, but “you have abandoned your first love…” – It’s not just our “clothes”, our outward demonstrations and actions of belonging to this Kingdom of God, he will forever and always be the very most concerned with the devotion of our HEARTS. There is so much distraction and noise, and speaking honestly, I allow it to distract me. It’s easier. But it’s cheap and dishonest. This is something I know I need to get much more intentional about… Loving the LORD/Yahweh with my full heart so it naturally flows into my full self – mind, body, emotion.

HAPPY WEEKEND FRIENDS!! Kin turned FOURTEEN (eyeyeyeye) and is having a Troop Beverly Hills viewing party today for her bday :) Have to get the living room looking like the Beverly Hills Hotel where they “camped out” lol :) Should be a lot of fun, some of the moms are jealous they haven’t been invited haha :) :) Hoping you all experience health, peace and something unexpectedly lovely this weekend ❤️

Ditto! I wanted to ask those questions, but wasn’t sure either! Hope the party is a rousing success, Heidi!❤

  19. Cheryl Blow says:

All the verses that I’ve read today, whether in Leviticus or James or Psalms keep pointing me back to a loving Father making a way for us to be reconciled to Him! The Bible is such a beautiful love story of God’s love for us!

I’m so grateful for His love! He corrects but guides me to repentance and surrounds me with love! God is good and worthy of our trust even when we don’t understand everything. He’s never failed or left me!

    Praying for all!!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Yes, Amen!

  20. heidi says:

THANK YOU ALL all for the prayers for “Anne” – she let us know that surgery went great, she’s in some pain but nothing “horrific” – resting at home :) Obviously there is still more ahead, but praise and gratitude for the positive results in each step!

So I’m 100% willing to bet that if you have the actual Lent Book from SRT, you probably have this info :) But I thought it would be fun on this especially gray, rainy morning to compile the authors and list here just so anyone can have as a quick reference :) We tend to often refer to David when only about 75 of them are believed to be his handiwork :) God stirred in lots of people to record their poems to him, so here’s the rundown as I’ve been able to find (if you are interested, both The Bible Project and Overview Bible are great resources if you want to dive in!)

    Authors of Psalms –

    -Psalm 50
    -Psalms 73–83
    ~
    ~
    The sons of Korah:
(another family– back in the book of Numbers, a man named Korah rebelled against Moses and Aaron—and God caused the earth to swallow him up. His sons survived, though -Nu 26:11-, and continued to serve in the house of the Lord. They share one psalm -Ps 88- with the wise man Heman.)
    -Psalm 42
    -Psalms 44–49
    -Psalms 84–85
    -Psalms 87-88
    ~
    ~
    Heman:
(He was a wise man who co-authored the eighty-eighth psalm with Ethan the Ezrahite and the sons of Korah. His brother Ethan -1 Ch 2:6- wrote a psalm, too.)
    -Psalm 88
    ~
    ~
    Solomon:
    -Psalm 72
    -Psalm 127
    ~
    ~
    Moses:
    -Psalm 90
    ~
    ~
    Ethan the Ezrahite:
(We don’t know much about Ethan, except that he was a famous wise man. So famously wise that the Bible makes a point to tell us Solomon was even wiser -1 Ki 4:31)
    -Psalm 89
    ~
    ~
    Orphan Psalms:
The remaining 50 “orphan psalms” aren’t credited to any one author. One person could have written all 50, but there’s a better chance that they were written by many people over many years.

@A Walton – thank you for the update, I have been praying all along and wondering how the plans were going. I’m so sorry to hear of more delays. How very frustrating and disappointing that must be. I will continue to pray for things to go forward, and that you’ll find a place to store your new kitchen if you can get it. ❤️
@Heidi – praying for your friend Anne. I hope she did well during her surgery yesterday and recovers quickly. Prayers for her and the family. ❤️

  24. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

We are all broken sinners saved by God’s grace. We are born sinners and will be until the day we die. But we do not have to continue in our sin. Our loving God is so gracious, merciful and kind. He forgives, but He desires that we repent of our sin and live for Him with all our heart.
Repentance in order to be real, must come from the heart and the way Joel describes it here, it is to be a “rending” of the heart. The Hebrew meaning of rend means: to split, tear to pieces, rip, bust, separate abruptly or with violence. It is not something to take lightly, it is painful but needed, it is the only way to bring wholeness. When we come to God this way, He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Simply said, He doesn’t just want us to say, “I’m sorry”, He wants us to be broken over our sin and to turn from it to Him. That is true repentance.

“In Joel’s day, the nation of Judah was guilty of putting on false displays of repentance. The people performed rituals of tearing their clothing without experiencing true, heart-crushing remorse for their sin, which would lead to a change in behavior and genuine devotion to God. Only a complete rending of the heart would turn the nation back to receive the compassionate, gracious, merciful, and steadfast love of the Lord.
    .
The idiom rend your heart expresses internal spiritual brokenness, which is vastly more important than any empty, hypocritical act of ripping apart one’s clothing. Rituals of repentance mean nothing if the heart is unchanged. External performances are not enough. For this reason, Jesus taught in the Beatitudes, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3). Being poor in spirit means recognizing one’s broken spiritual state. We rend our hearts when we admit that we are utterly bankrupt and destitute before God. Without His forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration, we are undone.”
(further study found at got questions)
    .
“Utterly bankrupt and destitute” – how well that describes each one of us, BUT for the grace of God – we are washed in the blood and made clean!

Song Share: Gracefully Broken sung by Tasha Cobbs Leonard or Matt Redman
    .
    [Intro]
God will break you to position
He will break you to promote you
And break you to put you in your right place
But when He breaks you He doesn’t hurt you, He doesn’t
When He breaks you He doesn’t destroy you, He does it with; grace
    Anybody been gracefully broken?
    Thank You, Lord, thank You
So Father tonight, we’re broken before You
Thank You for handling us with grace
Just lift your worship right there in this moment

    [Instrumental]

    [Verse 1]
Take all I have in these hands
And multiply, God, all that I am
And find my heart on the altar again
Set me on fire, set me on fire
Take all I have in these hands
And multiply, God, all that I am
And find my heart on the altar again
Set me on fire, set me on fire

    Here I am, God
    Arms wide open
    Pouring out my life
    Gracefully broken

My heart stands in awe of Your name
Your mighty love stands strong to the end
You will fulfill Your purpose in me
You won’t forsake me, You will be with me

    Holding nothing back
    I surrender (I surrender)
Y’all throw your hands up and sing I surrender (I surrender)
    Say I surrender (I surrender)
All that I am, I surrender (I surrender)
Have Your way, use me Lord, I surrender (I surrender)
Do Your will, it’s all Your way, I surrender (I surrender)
Use my life for Your glory, say I surrender all (I surrender)
You want to tell [Him?] right where you are (I surrender)

    (Oh, ooh-oh) I’m strong, I’m strong
(Oh, ooh-oh) I will be free

    [Chorus]
    Here I am, God
    Arms wide open
    Pouring out my life
    Gracefully broken

Thank you for your prayers – I’m feeling almost %100 back to normal, praise God! And so far Jeff and Jonathan have not gotten sick…but due to impending snow, 12-18″, we might not make the conference that we have looked forward to for a year! Prayers that it’s not as bad as they say and we can still go – Jeff really could use the encouragement! (as could I)

    Have a blessed Saturday She’s. ❤️

    From the NLT:
    A Call to Repentance

12 That is why the Lord says,

“Turn to me now, while there is time.

    Give me your hearts.

Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.

13 Don’t tear your clothing in your grief,

    but tear your hearts instead.”

Return to the Lord your God,

for he is merciful and compassionate,

slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

He is eager to relent and not punish.

One of my favorite verses is Ezekiel 36:26. I am including 24 and 25 today:
    Ezekiel-
24 For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land.

25 “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.

26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
    ✨✨✨
God calls His own, but we have to respond – TURN-. He will do the rest, just as He promised.

    Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤

Crumbs From The Table | Lyrics

Don’t let me drift, this world wants to take me away
I won’t be tricked by treasures that one day will fade

And I don’t have to live like it’s feast or famine
When I am seated with you

You call me to more than just crumbs from your table
You set a place here for me

You made a way cause you know I’m not able
To sit face to face with the King

Oh there is more, so much more
    Than crumbs from the table

All I’ve ever wanted can only be found in you
You’re the bread and the wine that I keep on running to

And I will not settle for anything else
I’ve tasted and seen you are good

You call me to more than just crumbs from your table
You set a place here for me

You made a way cause you know I’m not able
To sit face to face with the King

Oh there is more, so much more
    Than crumbs from the table

The wasteland behind me, the search is over
There’s nothing that I’m wanting for

You give me the robe, the ring on my finger
I’m home in the house of the Lord

You call me to more than just crumbs from your table
You set a place here for me

You made a way cause you know I’m not able

    1. Cee Gee says:

My first song thought as I read today’s Scripture was the hymn Softly and Tenderly.
      First verse:
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling
Calling for you and for me
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching
Watching for you and for me
      Chorus
      Come home, come home,
      You who are weary, come home;
      Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
      Calling, O sinner, come home!

Same here, Lynne, and I was thinking that about our song history recently, too!! ☺❤

        2. Rhonda J. says:

Oh yes, I love the old hymns. And Allen Jackson- so good!! My mom used to give my cd’s with hymns she would get a the dollar general store for my birthdays b/c she knew I loved them!

          1. Cee Gee says:

What a sweet memory, Rhonda! ❤❤❤

      2. Mia Faith says:

I have loved that song since I was a little girl. It’s one of the few songs I could sorta play on the piano after YEARS of lessons!

        1. Cee Gee says:

Awww, thanks for sharing that, Faith! I hear ya on the piano playing -same here! ❤

      3. Cheryl Blow says:

I remember this old song! It has always made me feel this sweet sense of Jesus doing just that! Thanks for reminding me!

        1. Cee Gee says:

          Such a sweet visual, yes!❤

    2. Rachel (CO) says:

How often do I go looking for crumbs instead of enjoying the feast He has set before me? Thanks for sharing! ❤️

      1. Cee Gee says:

Yes, Rachel, great question! ❤ Most welcome!

      2. Wendy B says:

        Yes. This❤️

    3. Cheryl Blow says:

I’m going to have to look this one up!! Beautiful!

    4. Lanie H says:

CEE GEE!! I’ve missed you. Thats one of my favorite verses too. I think it may have been a SRT lent study that was so impactful for me Ezekiel has been a favorite for a long time.

      1. Cee Gee says:

Missed you, too, Lanie! That verse jumped off the page at me a few years back in a study with some ladies on FB. I have shared it here and at Sunday School. Cool that it’s special to you, too! Thanks for sharing about memorization above, too. ❤

  27. Ashley Oliver says:

    Amen ❤️

    BUT GOD
    .
He knows I am but dust and in His hesed, has made me His child through Jesus’ faithfulness, love, and holiness,
    .
    Praying for your requests.
    .
Thanks for all the comments this week, too.

CEE GEE – thanks for asking. My mom is up and down, of course. Mostly wrapping up the paperwork and is gearing up to going through my step-dad’s things.
My young mama is faithfully seeking the Lord, attending church, and trusting God to meet her needs. Still many obstacles but she is no longer in hyper-crisis mode.

    1. Cee Gee says:

Oh, praying for your mom (and you) for the finality of the paperwork and prayers for the sorting ahead. ❤
Praise God for the report on our young mama!

I love your share this morning; just beautiful!❤

    2. Cheryl Blow says:

Praying for your mama and for continued growth in your young mama!

  30. Rhonda J. says:

EVEN now…No matter what you have done, how far away you were, or how long the time was…turn to me. Your God. The God. He gives opportunity to anyone, and everyone. Wow. Turn…though, a conscious act of switching direction. Turning from our old way, to Him. A new path.
With FASTING. So many new things in the last 4 years of my “Christian” (used loosely) life! We had never talked about fasting growing up, or in my couple of churches the last 20 years. But it is used numerous times, over and over, in conjunction with prayer. Since fasting the last 4 years, I can see how God has answered and brought forth closer connection. Sometimes cleansing me of hindrances in the way (pride, alcohol), other times recommitting reliance on Him.
Tear your heart…it takes a good heart look, we can’t just move forward without analyzing our ways. Some are quick to want God, but not take responsibility of their actions. Or they want to sweep actions under the rug. But when we access, we learn and grow. We can then repent fully, then we are left with mercy and grace, and forgiveness from the Lord, of course, but from others. Proudness reveals contrite hearts.
Oh how I love the phrase used for God “Gracious and compassionate!” Wouldn’t we want that said about us! Gracious is a good word. Slow to anger! What a good fruit of the Spirit we, too, should have!
He ABOUNDS in FAITHFUL LOVE!!! Beautiful. How amazing that we are told over and over in the Old Testament that the stiff-necked Israelites, God’s chosen, special people, called his own, wanted their OWN way. Just like stubborn 2 year olds. We are as well. Yet God…he is faithful to always (chuckle) and say, fine, lets try this again. Other times I’m sure he shakes his head and wonders why we are so ignorant. If he is a father, he truly cares and wants our best. That is why the label is so amazing!
He could send disaster, and I would deserve it, but most times the disasters are of my own making. (yet we blame others or God).
Lord, I just want to be steadfast in your love and care. Keep shaping and molding me, for your Glory, and for others to see you in me. I love you so much, I feel like David at many times, singing songs to you of Praise and Worship, Questions and doubt, lamenting, and then claps, joy, and dancing!! Thank you for loving us, your creation, that is stiff-necked. And in you patience, are holding back the coming of Jesus, giving all a chance to receive you! Let us be active in going and telling of you! Sharing our testimonies and what you have done for us! How you welcomed us back with open arms and love, and kindness. How you redeemed and restored us, made our graves into gardens!! How you brought our desires and dreams to light! You brought back the wastelands and deserts to flowers and blooms. May I never forget your Gracious and Compassionate love. The creator of the Stars, majestic mountains, and the oceans deep and wide. The sunshine that comes after the darkness! You are so good, a good, good Father. We thank you in the Mighty Name of your Son Jesus, amen.

    1. Cee Gee says:

      So good, Rhonda! ❤

    Joel 2:12-13 NKJV
    12
    “Now, therefore,” says the Lord,
“Turn to Me with all your heart,
With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
    13
    So rend [tear] your heart, and not your garments;
Return to the Lord your God,
For He is gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm.
    .
Turn to Him – Praying this for every heart and mind, for every person in power, for every nation, for Today, please Lord.

    Re Day 5 comments –
HEIDI – missed your post yesterday, praying for Anne’s recovery and complete healing. Praying for her family on this continuing journey
CHERYL BLOW stay the course, sister! You are running neck and neck with my family member, they are on about 84 I think.
MARIA B perfect analogy! ❤️ praying for comfort in your grief, some days it’s hard to believe mine is really gone.
CEE GEE ❤️ thank you for suggesting rereading the summary to stay on, or get back on track. And the song, planning to listen today, thank you.
MEAGAN C praying for a change in perspective, that the Lord will draw you close. That appearance of green grass? A pastor years ago used that in a sermon … it’s either an illusion meant to distract and destroy, or it really is green, from being loved and treated with great care. The takeaway was for us to stay focused on the Lord, and to love and serve the people in our care. He knows where we are and what we need, Him first of all. Lean on Him. ❤️
KIMBERLY ❤️ you did it again, beautiful!
MERCY, B, TINA and others – ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you, sisters, feeling the love❣️
HEIDI ❤️ your testimony of “challenging” God, beautiful
ALLISON BENTLEY- praying for victory for you ❤️
MERCY ❤️ another keeper, thank you!

How merciful and longsuffering is our God! In the midst of the rebellion and idolatry in Israel then and in our would today – God is still gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love…wanting to relent from sending disaster. Father, please help us turn to You with our whole heart!!

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Yes, amen. It is sad, when people point to Israel (I know you were speaking of “old” Israel!) and say they aren’t even believers, and they are doing evil. But we are the Same, here in America. We might claim we are better followers but…oh how far this country has fallen. Especially with abortion, and the mockery of our own created gender and the marriage institution. Our pride and idolatry. Sorcery. Strife and jealousy. Drunkenness and drugs, and on and on. Oh how we all need to repent, fast and pray, and turn back to our Maker. Time is running out. The birthing pains are speeding up. Lord forgive us!! Let me stand firm no matter what shall come.

    OMG.

    Even NOW.
    .
After all I’ve done, all I’ve been, all I have said, all I am, but shouldn’t be.
    .
The LORDS declaration to me is..
Turn your heart, yes, even that rotten, undisciplined, unfaithful, unruly heart to me, and as you fast and weep in the realization of what you have done and been, and mourn, return to Him, the LORD your GOD.. For He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, (oh my goodness), so abounding in faithful love, and He relents, He changes His mind, He eases off, slackens, He relaxes, let’s up, softens, backs down, becomes merciful, lenient… From sending (deserved) disaster..
EVEN NOW, He would do that for me..
    .
    EVEN NOW..
    .
    Thank you Father God.
    .
Lord, I come, before your Majesty.
Lord, I come, before your throne of Grace.
Lord, I come, I confess, I turn my heart.
    .
    Lord I come..
