Sometimes I just breathe in deeply to fill my lungs, knowing it is God filling my lungs with His breathe giving me life. I love that thought and how He keeps my heart beating constantly. While I’m sleeping He breathes life into my lungs and my heart beating. It’s absolutely unbelievable and miraculous to me. Thank you Jesus…..

Good Afternoon! Love the comments today on this day of Romantic love. Those that have been married for a long time don’t really give it much thought. (or is that just me?!) But after some hard and troubling years in my married relationship and lots of praying for myself and for hubby (laying my hand on him every night and praying for him before sleep). Reading a nightly devotional together. Letting the Holy Spirit lead me to better actions and re-actions—
One of my friends asked us at lunch yesterday how we would describe our marriages! I happily replied easily and happily-Awesome! How very good of God, that on THIS Valentine’s day I can say Awesome again! Thank you Jesus!

Maybe your marriage has a different word this year. I pray for you and your husband. It takes lots of work, but it is the love that represents the Church and Jesus. It can’t coast. And it can’t remain unfinished and lost. Google says it better-
Based on Ephesians 5:22-33, Christian marriage is designed to be a living, earthly picture of the relationship between Christ and the Church. It represents a covenant of unconditional love, where the husband acts as a sacrificial leader (like Christ) and the wife acts as a devoted partner (like the Church).
Yes, I know many of us women are more like the Spiritual leader of our homes. (I am still praying for that and see improvements!) I pray our men will step up and be what God has for them!
Lord help all of our married women to pray for their marriages, we don’t seem to stand out as the example of doing it Christ’s way much anymore! Help us to do better. Help us to shine to the world that you made man and woman for each other and your way is right and perfect. Help us to strive to stay together, love each other fiercely rather than self-focus, but selfless. Dedicated to please each other and love over our knit-picking and squabbles. Let us see restoration, renewal, and a new light and hope. Everything is possible when we put you first. And put you in the center of our life and marriage. Thank you for my husband, may I always be so grateful when I don’t see it, or being stubborn. I can’t be the only one Lord. We need you in every part of our life. We thank you for the continual sanctification in us and our spouse. Be with my friends in grief, but let them hold dear to their precious memories and time together and be able to share their wisdom with others. Be with my single sisters in the wait. Your perfect timing is good. You are good! You know what we need, when we need. Thank you for giving us Jesus, to show us your love and care. Amen!

Aw…YES….the breath of the Almighty gives us Life…THANK YOU my Father God for giving me life and these beautiful She’s to do life with me. Though we may never meet “in-person” we are all united here on this amazing platform at She Reads Truth. Happy Valentines Day sweet She’s! I love you all very much! I came here last night and read your comments. Thank you for praying for me. I received an email from my doctor and all is good. And my son said his interview went okay. It’s a position where he has no experience, but we shall see. He has another interview next week.

  11. Cee Gee says:

1 John 4:9-10 NLT (my favorite ‘love’ verse):
God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love — not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
    ❤❤❤
The verse from Job reminds me of a Christmas song by Amy Grant – Breath of Heaven.
    ✨✨✨
I first listened to this song yesterday and thought it was good for the end of this study. Based on comments, I am glad I waited until today to share it! It’s very up tempo but the message is so good

Thinking of those of you for whom Valentine’s Day is not so joyful. I was married late (46!) and remember well the ache of waiting. Others of you have lost your love, and my heart aches for you. My husband and I are hosting a dinner tonight for 10 young single women…pray that it will be an encouragement to them to wait well and that they will feel loved. ❤️

    1. Rhonda J. says:

That’s wonderful!! Yes, it’s best to wait for God’s perfect person for you and his timing! It never works well on our own!

  13. Cheryl Blow says:

Isn’t it comforting to know that the very breath of God is in us?!!! I love this!

Praying for all today that you feel loved by our Father who is really the only One who can satisfy the deep longing in our souls! Don’t put too much pressure on the spouse who just does not get romance or lovely gestures. Remember to look to Jesus!

    Praying for all!

    1. Cee Gee says:

      Good point, Cheryl! ❤

  14. Wendy B says:

The Spirit of God has made me,
and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4

Well. If that isn’t just a breath of fresh air first thing in the morning. Thank you Lord for your Words to us; for the ways it speaks truth into our lives, breaths life into our souls and lifts our hearts. Amen❤️

Happy Valentines Day SRT sisters. May the Lord’s unfailing love surround you and flowers out to those around you in all you say and do.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 14:34-35

    1. Wendy B says:

      *FLOW* not flowers…ha, ha;)

  15. Kim Davis says:

As I reflect on this past week, one phrase that has really stayed with me is from Acts 27:23 where Paul says, “the God to whom I belong and whom I serve.” He says that in the middle of a storm, when everything feels completely out of control.

What stands out to me is that he anchors himself in belonging before serving. He doesn’t begin with what he’s doing for God, he begins with who he belongs to. That has been so encouraging for me. No matter what kind of week I’m having, calm or chaotic, I belong to Him first. Before the pressure, the responsibilities, the decisions, or the outcomes, I am His. And when I remember that, it shifts my posture. It brings me peace knowing the God I belong to is standing with me in whatever I’m walking through.

    1. Cee Gee says:

Kim, thank you for this powerful insight! Perfect takeaway from this study!
“What stands out to me is that he anchors himself in belonging before serving. He doesn’t begin with what he’s doing for God, he begins with who he belongs to!
      ❤❤❤

    2. Rhonda J. says:

Oh Kim…that is so good!! It IS powerful. That resonates with me because I wanted to serve and work for God (out of love), yet he said do you even KNOW me, so at that point I started reading my Bible everyday…and then he started using me to serve and lead! The years in between were so important because relationship happened! I saw WHO God was, his people, his plan, his love. Revelation. So like Paul, I can say “to whom I belong and whom I serve!!”

    3. Nicole Burke says:

      Needed this thought today! ❤️

  16. Maria B says:

This verse just settled on me when I read it, like a breath of fresh air. Even as a just woke up my mind was on all the things I need to get done today, and verse was like a gentle tap of the shoulder saying “Remember— I made you and give you life. Slow down. I am here with you.”

    1. Kelly (NEO) says:

      Me too!

    2. Wendy B says:

    Prayer requests:
    For a preteen, P.
I spoke with her aunt while at a dr appt yesterday. Troubled young girl, rescued from abusive parents and adopted into love – yet can’t accept the love is real and has run away several times – so dangerous in today’s world. She’s in counseling and they are active at their church – praying for the Lord’s protection and healing.
    .
For an elderly family member who had a fall that resulted in a bad leg break – praying for healing and positive mindset
    .
And for another family member, Liz, who had a terrible fall last year, thought things had healed well but is going back into surgery this coming week either Thursday or Friday (short memory here) for a bone graft from her leg to her arm.
    .
We can never be thankful enough for our health.

    1. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

Praying with you Searching for P and for Liz. And an Amen to being thankful for our health! ❤️

    2. Rhonda J. says:

      Praying over these requests

    5. Cee Gee says:

Oh, Searching! That precious girl! How sad that she doesn’t recognize/accept this authentic love offered to her. Aren’t we just like that? Sometimes when we’ve been through something really hard we either can’t believe that God loves us or we feel like we don’t deserve it. Praying for P to recognize and embrace the love offered to her and to settle into this family with love for them as we!!
      .
Prayers for healing and an upbeat outlook for this elderly family member!!!
Prayers for a successful surgery and complete healing for Liz!

A thousand thank yous to each sister who prayed for us yesterday ❤️ whether you posted or not.

A MILLION thank yous for praying AND sharing…you put balm on my uncertain ❤️❤️.

    Thank Jesus, it went…fine.

My biggest priority for yesterday was that my preschooler would just see this couple as visitors so that he could enjoy them, rather than see them as a threat — this was definitely accomplished.
    *
I can say with ALL CERTAINTY that it is not coming from a place of not wanting to see him leave my home….I am NOT feeling it with these people, that they will be what he needs in some areas…. certainly, (so far it looks like) if he will be raised Christian, it will be because this 3.5 year-old will become the priest of his own. There is nothing in my earthly power so….
    I am praying I am wrong,…
I am remembering a prayer of surrender I did with a friend the day before….
✝️”Lord, I surrender _____to You; You take care of everything” ✝️

    *
I wish I had a greater inclination towards journalling but, for today, I wrote my thoughts on a page that quotes Proverbs 19:21

    *
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
    *
✝️Lord Jesus, please do whatever needs doing, whether through me or (ideally) another source…and please hold little ones and us firmly against Your chest✝️

    Thank Jesus, it went…fine.

    .
    OMG.
    .
This is so very very refreshing, so refreshingly on point to one who needs a little help feeling the love!
    .
I feel like I have just heard the most beautiful, spirit enhancing words.. this year.. and on a day allocated by the world to celebrate love!
This verse from Job.. Just grabbed my heart, lovingly and with that touch, brought me back to believing fully, that my life, my being, my heart, my soul, my all, is made and gifted to me by Father God..
His Spirit made me, and that Spirit continues to guide me, directing me, lead me on on this journey we call life..
    .
Our lives are God given, let’s live them like we know this.. even in the storms of life let’s live them well..
    .
    BUT GOD..
    .
    RIGHT?
    .
    AMEN.
    .
    .
Happy ‘I love you’ day, my dears.. prayerful that whatever you for and wherever you are.. you KNOW you are LOVED, always and everyday !❤️❤️❤️

    1. Searching says:

      Love you too, sister ❤️

    2. Rhonda J. says:

Amen! You’re right, it is reassuring to remember and KNOW that we are MADE by his Spirit and breathed in by God’s Glory and Love!!
If we have that…then what else do we need?! To remember it, I suppose, each and every day!!

    3. Sandi S says:

      Thank you Tina!!

    4. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

I love it when something from God’s word grabs our hearts! “Our lives are God given, let’s live them like we know this.. even in the storms of life let’s live them well..”Yes and Amen!
