Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
Yet the LORD had his heart set on your ancestors and loved them. He chose their descendants after them—he chose you out of all the peoples, as it is today.

Hi ladies I am asking for prayers over a teenage boy named Kaydin. He was in a car accident after being picked up from school by a company that took care of after school pick up. He is in the foster youth care system. They will be operating on him. I just found out. Please pray for this situation that he will be all right. Thank you so so much. Be blessed dear sisters.
To know He is so mindful of us. Of me. He chose my ancestors. He chose me. Sovereign over all and weaving our lives and our people together. In the heaviness and wearing things of these days in context of both personally close to home and in the greater world, todays verse is a word that gives balm to the heart.
Lord, help me set my heart on you.❤️
Today’s verse is a beautiful reminder how God has chosen each one of us as well!
Great comments throughout this week! I’m here late but still reading along with you! We are on a road trip. Today Kentucky to go to the Ark Encounter!
Oh my Gosh!! I wanted to go while I was home in Kentucky a couple of weeks ago! And then we realized we had our dog traveling with us!
I hear it’s phenomenal!!
❤️✝️
Sorry was just in the process of saying I’m late to the party as it’s afternoon here in the UK! I am grateful for grace days; to survey what’s been learned so far and soak in His goodness. Plus have a scroll of the comments so far!! xxxo
I think this is a predominantly US community!
Because the founders are from TN and launched years ago. I don’t think they expected it to go so worldwide! (Cheers!!) We do welcome everyone and lots of followers from all over! :)
Amen
I love Israel’s history;and no matter how many evil rulers or armies have tried to destroy them or the line to the messiah God’s plan goes forward.
So many comments on a Saturday morning already! And I was up earlier! Excited for my new group this morning at church! AND a big day after that, I am traveling to get one of our Butterflies coming home! She has spent a year in recovery 4 hours away, and now she is coming back here to take the next step in her new life!! He chose her just like he chose me!! He is just waiting for us to choose him back!! It is amazing to see, and the harvest is SO ripe right now with people seeking what is missing!! Hearts longing, eyes opening, ears listening!!
And WE get to share what God has done for us!! We have a story, but we need to give HIM the Glory!!
How he took our tests and turned them to a testimony!
Our pain and gave it purpose!
Our MESSES can turn into His message!!
Lets not keep it to ourselves! We are called to go and be fishers of men! Maybe it would be nice to have those fish on our cars again! I am so passionate about bringing as many as I can to heaven! I can’t believe I had gone my whole life and never led someone to Jesus in prayer! Seeds are fantastic, watering great, But seeing them say YES…I WANT to give my heart to Jesus!! It is overwhelming because you know, the word says that the angels are rejoicing in heaven!!!
Please pray for my back today in travels! We are paying for an Uber halfway for her because I didn’t think it could take the full 8 hours!! But 4 it is!! It will be worth it, especially when she can come to church and we can stand and praise together again!
Praying for your back to withstand the travel and praying the message is well received at your group. ❤
Praying for you, dear Rhonda… your aching back!♥️
He has chosen you…❤️
So like a hug, isn’t it, Kelly! ❤
In line with Tina’s comment …When we have our hearts set on something, there is a laser focus that kicks in and we tend to fine tune that focus to the exclusion of, and disregard for, anything else.
God has His heart set on His people, referring to the children of Israel in this verse, and now expanded to us because (Colossians 1) 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
.
Do we have our hearts set on God? An easy “of course I do” until I ask myself, do I live my life like I have my heart set on God?

It is not everyday that I have my heart set on something, but…
When little old me has her heart set on something, there is mountain moving determination, true grit, intentional planning, and a whole lot of Oomph!
Plans are made, and a feeling of ‘i’m glad to be alive” about this something.. I’ve never really set my heart on someone…
.
BUT GOD..
.
OMG, He did not just start with me, i was not His first, He started with my people of long ago. My great, great, great, great, great, great. My people whom we are named after, yet we have never met. Or whose hair and eye colour we inherited, or whose surnames are etched on the family home, and we ask the questions about them..
God had His HEART set on them, way before me.. He had mountain moving determination to call them His own, and He did, I know, because I, a descendant of those God chose long ago, am a recipient of His Heart set.
.
The verse before says ALL belongs to Him, everything between the highest heaven and earth, it was never a mistake that my people were chosen, definitely not, because GOD had already set His heart on them, He had given them HIS heart.. And now, I, am the most blessed to be one on and in whom Father God, the Lord of LORDS, mighty and awesome, and the One who loves fiercely, has set His heart…
.
As a moment of realisation, this is huge.. HUGE..
.
THANKFUL, for sure, every minute of every day.. thankful covered in much praise..
Thank you Father God, Thank you…
.
Amen..
.
Happy Saturday ladies, wrapped in continued joy and Hope that the LORD will move mountains for you, so you/we can see how high, how wide, how deep the Fathers love for us truly is ..
He is faithful.. always and to the end of time..
Blessings..❤️❤️❤️❤️

✨️❤️✨️
You, sister, put another song in mind! How will I get through this repertoire! LOL
How Deep the Father’s Love for Us (the Gettys’ version is my favorite and I suspect it was running through your head, too, along with the Scripture.) ❤
This is so neat

Catching up this morning on yesterday’s reading.
All through this chapter we are reminded of God’s mercy, grace and love. Things we are never to forget or take lightly. He had such great compassion for His chosen people, as He also has for us today.
.
The verse that especially stood out to me was vs 28 – “And when they cried out to you again, you heard from heaven, and in your compassion you delivered them time after time.”
.
It made me think of all the times – time after time after time, that God has not only delivered me, but also has shown His great love and compassion and has forgiven my sin – which at times, is the same repeated sin.
.
Oh how He loves me, oh how He loves you – and because of that, we offer our sacrifice of praise. And we give thanks that when we confess our sin He is faithful and just and forgives us, purifying us from all our unrighteousness. Praise His holy name!!

Today is the last leg of our journey as we had back to the states. It’s been a wonderful two weeks – but long, and as the saying goes – “there’s no place like home” – it will be so good to be back!
.
Remembering you all in prayer. Have a blessed Saturday! ❤️
Safe travels Sharon. Praying protection for both yourself and Jeff as you head on home..
God bless you both..❤️❤️
No place like home ❤️ be safe, sister.
Praying for safe travels!
Happy you both got the time away. Safe travels
I am glad you are having an amazing trip! Prayers for Safe travels.
Praying for safe travels too!
Oh, Sharon, you sparked two old favorites in my brain:
Thanks for the sweet memories of singing these! Praying for you and Jeff. Left a note to you on my earlier post. ❤-
Partial lyrics:
1) Oh, how He loves you and me,
Oh, how He loves you and me.
He gave His life, what more could He give;
Oh, how He loves you,
Oh, how He loves me,
Oh, how He loves you and me.
.
2) The Savior Is Waiting (partial:
The Savior is waiting to enter your heart
Why don’t you let Him come in
There’s nothing in this world to keep you apart
What is your answer to Him
Time after time He has waited before
And now He is waiting again
To see if you’re willing to open the door
Oh how He wants to come in
If you’ll take one step toward the Savior, my friend
You’ll find His arms open wide
Receive Him, and all of your darkness will end
Within your heart He’ll abide
Time after time He has waited before
And now He is waiting again
To see if you’re willing to open the door
Oh how He wants to come in
Oh how He wants to come in

Deuteronomy 10:12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. 13 And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
14 “Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the Lord your God. 15 Yet the Lord chose your ancestors as the objects of his love. And he chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today. 16 Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn.
17 “For the Lord your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God…
21 He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes.

Now off to try to get some sleep!
Love, hugs, prayers, and happy weekend! ❤
Love both those songs! Hope you had sweet sleep!❤️
I did sleep well, thank you, Sharon. Hope you and Jeff pack lots more good memories into your last day of vacation! I know nothing can match meeting Tina, though! ❤
Sleep well Cee Gee..covered in peace-filled prayers..❤️
Thanks, Tina, I did!
Night owl ❤️, it’s hard to pick a favorite between those 2 songs!
I know! ❤
How Great is Our God makes me cry almost every time! What a beautiful song of praise! Hope you can get some rest!
Thanks, Susan, I did! ❤
❤️
Thank you for sharing more of the scripture! So good and powerful! (It’s amazing at one time this would have read dry!) The more you seek God He responds right back. But it takes abiding in him and deliberate daily walking with him as you roots dig deeper to the living water!
This morning I woke up and sand Come Alive, in the name of Jesus, Come Alive…lol, but seems to fit perfectly here!!
Dry:
Rhonda, what you said is so true! The Bible, to those who have no belief, is like a desert- a place to avoid, but as you state so often and so well we desire to go there to be quenched by the Living Water and have a deeper relationship with the One Who provides. ❤ Thank you for mentioning your thoughts on that. Gave me something to ponder! That sing was running through my mind as I made my coffee, too! That is so cool! ❤
