Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
And they will be called the Holy People,
the LORD’s Redeemed;
and you will be called Cared For,
A City Not Deserted.

New song fitting for this topic:
Zach Williams – The Potter (Nothing Is Wasted) (Lyric Video)
Grace!
“My Delight is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you”
Cared for! So comforting!

The Redeemed of the Lord- is there any other title more privileged than this? I can just cry. I have a prayer request. Yesterday I was at the parent teacher conference and I got to speak with a teacher. He was so kind and honest with a heart of young children. There is a looming strike that might take place in the next two weeks because of teachers overwork (immigration increase) and they are negotiating for the appropriate compensation. Would you please pray for a good outcome? If they can’t agree, they will shut down the school until further notice. The teachers are aching living in the unknown. And parents also don’t know if we have to scramble work to care for this surprise time off. Thank you she’s for being faithful in prayers. So blessed to be part of our sweet gathering. We show up for one another. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend rejoicing in the goodness of God and counting our blessings. I have to catch up on your sweet comments and prayer requests later. ❤️ Be blessed dear sisters.
Praying for your children’s school Mercy and that things will get figured out for God’s glory.
You got it, sister.
Mercy, how stressful for everyone involved! Prayers for an agreement to be reached before a strike is called! ❤
Prayed, how stressful! The kids are probably praying for no school, lol.

Ladies, what beautiful insights you have shared. They have encouraged me!
I think reading that I am cared for is such an encouragement to me. I know God cares for me but sometimes we get so busy caring for others that it is just nice to be reminded of His care for us. I will rest in that today.
Thank you for prayers for my back. Still stiff and sore but I don’t feel like a car that needs a “rear-end” alignment anymore!
Praying for all! Pray for my granddaughter’s car to get fixed without a big expense.
That stuck out to be today too Cheryl! Cared for ahh sigh of relief! Continued prayers for you back and your granddaughters car!
Keeping you, Elaine, Rhonda and all in pain in my prayers.
Redeemed… I love that word.
Amen
Ladies- I am new to this group and am awed by your connections and live for each other. Truly humbling. I tend to operate in a silo; it’s safe…. But watching/reading the comments is encouraging.
Nancy, WELCOME! As you read and get to know us, you will be drawn to come ‘out of the silo’- in God’s timing, of course. Rhonda J made a private Facebook page-

You are just asked to name the study you are in so she can verify you are one of us. ☺
Glad you let us know you are here!
Yes, amen! Welcome Nancy!! Would love for you to connect more with us here, and on our FB page!

Welcome!
Welcome Nancy! We are so blessed you’re here.
Welcome!❤️
Welcome Nancy❤️
Since we started the week with Nehemiah’s prayer, I wanted to read Isaiah’s prayer in chapter 62. This portion reminded me of our discussions this week:
6 O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls;
they will pray day and night, continually.
Take no rest, all you who pray to the Lord.
7 Give the Lord no rest until he completes his work,
until he makes Jerusalem the pride of the earth.
.
What a glorious day that will be when God ‘completes His work’ in Jerusalem… in us! We can’t fathom the glory!
`
Now I am thinking of What a Day That Will Be (partial lyrics):
“What a day that will be
When my Jesus I shall see
When I look upon His face
The One who saved me by His grace
When He takes me by the hand
And leads me to the Promised Land
What a day, glorious day that will be
There’ll be no sorrows there
And no more burdens to bear
No more sickness and no more pain
No more parting over there
And forever I will be
With the One who died for me
What a day, glorious day that will be”
Songwriter: Jim Hill
`
Joel 2:23 (Biblegateway verse of the day)
Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem! Rejoice in the Lord your God! For the rain he sends demonstrates his faithfulness. Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring.
`
SEARCHING- All Hail King Jesus- I love singing that song! ❤

Love, hugs, and prayers! ❤
Yes Amen!! When Jesus comes back!! With us, his faithful watchmen!! I LOVE that song so much!!
We need to share that on our page!! I need to get to our page more…and MORE intros and testimonies!! I try to not get pulled into the fb scrolling cycle so I just avoid…but I don’t want to avoid our wonderful Page/group!
Same, Rhonda! I go to FB for Bible study groups, but see family news, too. Takes a lot of restraint! ❤☺❤
Amen
Another great song that takes me back to that little country church in my grandparents town, and yes, what a day, glorious day that will be!
hallelujah!!
❤❤❤ What a sweet memory, SEARCHING! Thank you!
Amen❤️

Beautiful
Holy. Redeemed. Not deserted. Cared for. These words are a beautiful reminder. Although not written to us, they are FOR us and the truth and weight of them extends to all of God’s people.
Thank you Lord that you are mindful of us. Present, faithful and always at work to redeem and rebuild in our lives. Amen

I am looking back and thinking about the rebuilding time in my life. When I had a new marriage, a new baby boy, new house, nice car…I thought wow, this is what I’ve always wanted!! I had been married before, but it never seemed like it really got launched into “real” adulthood. So this time I seemed to have it all, just what I had dreamed. We had money, trips- a nice trip to Africa! It couldn’t get better- then he blindsided me by saying- I don’t love you, I want to move out!! It really was a shock to my system, it had only been a year and half married. I felt discarded, broken, and so sad. Now I would even have to part with my toddler half of the week and spend that time alone. I was alone. Shattered. In ruins. It was the first time I had been in this place.
At the time in these places, it seems our lives may never be rebuilt. It seems hopeless. But these are the times that we finally look beyond our situations and call out to God! Lord- Help. That simple word. Help me Lord. I need you.
When we look back we see how God IS there, putting the broken pieces back together. We can see the when and how WE got in the way and hindered ourselves. And we can see when we trusted and let him put us back together it was good and best.
My new group starts next week and I choose a book to help us look back on our stories where God built a testimony! It’s a book by Mathew West called “My Story Your Glory.” It’s a devotional book to help you think back to those times God was rebuilding the brokenness. We all have them, and when you are IN IT, it is hard to see what God is doing, but he IS doing a good work, when we have faith, trust, and obey. When we try to do it on our own, it will never be as good.
I just wanted to give you hope and encouragement if you are in a broken, rebuilding place right now. In the wait. You can’t see it now, but, With GOD, you will see beauty from the ashes. Hold steadfast. “You will be cared for” you are His. You are not deserted.
Thanks so much for sharing your heart and for the book recommendation! ❤
It always breaks my heart to read that part of your story.
But..it is where TRUE faith and OBEDIENCE came about..the Lord became the ACTUAL LORD of my Life! I don’t know that I had the right kind of faith before, it was just what I had been taught. I knew I would go to heaven if I confessed my sins and repented. But I didn’t know what true relationship was until I was broken and couldn’t do the rebuilding on my own, or rather chose not to do it on my own. Of course it was slow, I am hard headed and stubborn and kept getting ahead of him. It doesn’t happen overnight. But each wrong/sinful step turned into more of a mess. Good in the moment, but true consequences. It is something so powerful we need to share with our young 20’s and 30’s. Our free will comes with costs. But God has a better path. Yes mistakes make us better, but there are many I wish I would have avoided by my own doing. People that say they wouldn’t change a thing in their past because it made them who they are today…well, it’s true in a way…but I certainly have things that hurt many people along the way I could have made a better choice if I hadn’t been selfish and thinking of me before others! I am not being self-condemning, (there is no condemnation IN CHRIST NOW) but truth is that His way IS better than our way!
Sorry…didn’t mean to start preaching….I just can’t help it these days…I almost think I was meant to be a preacher!! :))
❤️
Thank you!
I too, as I’ve shared, (years ago in a similar situation) But our Jesus, our God was with us every step of the way. He’s using your story, Rhonda.
You will be called cared for.
Isn’t that what we all want? To be cared for? To feel cared for? To rest in the thought that we are not alone?
Thank you Jesus for caring for us! May we also be the caretakers for others. May we show your love by making others feel loved.
Happy Saturday!
Yes! We may be stubborn and prideful though, and not think we want it, but down in our soul, we do all want to be cared for!
Amen! Very encouraging, Meagan! ❤
Amen
Felt the same today too Megan! ❤️
GM ladies. I am truly happy for the catch up day. Going back to work has really cramped my style! Lol I’m often not reading til later in the day but I always go back and read all the comments which are what brings me back to this study month after month. You ladies are all amazing!
I had some thoughts after all of your comments yesterday that I will share now. I have been part of our short term missions team at church for the past 10 years. One summer in Nicaragua we started the foundation for a learning center at a home for trafficked girls. When you build in a 3rd world country, there are no big machines to help. We mixed cement by hand, made an assembly line to carry the concrete blocks (heavy), and block after block started the hard work of building the foundation – all in the oppressive heat! And none of us with experience doing this. It was NOT easy! This makes me think of Nehemiah and what he was tasked with! And in far worse conditions and with the threat of attack looming! At the end of our week, after all of that work, our foundation was only knee high! We left with the feeling of incompleteness. We returned a year later, other teams had come in, and it was COMPLETE! We were blessed to see the fruits of our initial labor and then start a new project. So I’m thinking about how we build things in our own lives, brick by brick. Relationships, families, careers, Godly foundations (Mercy), and how if we are just faithful with brick after tedious brick, we will see the fruits of our labor. I can only imagine how Nehemiah and his team felt years later! I pray you all have a blessed day!
You already got another job in your retirement?!
That is such a good example Tami!! Loved reading that! I have always wanted to go somewhere like that and help build! I feel like I have lost my chance, but I serve here at least! :)
Tami, that is the perfect and timely example! Thanks for sharing and God bless you in your new job! ❤
Work cramps your style… hahahahaha! Being newly retired cramps mine… I can’t get into a routine. I really need to make myself a “schedule”, I guess.
Thanks for sharing, Tami! Praying for you and your new job to find balance.
Love that connection Tami, amazing!
We shall be called sought out. A city not forsaken.
Also thankful for a grace day. To just sit and reflect on what we have learned so far. And also a good reminder to REST. Praying for everyone today!
Being a natural caretaker, I always feel blessed and seen when I’m reminded of God’s caring for us! Thank you Lord for this reminder.
Reposting here…accidentally put in a comment to Sharon (duh)

GM Kelly, our fierce prayer warrior!! We thank you so much for your diligent follow up!! I have not heard from Crystal, but I do know she got accepted for free treatment at Moffit cancer center, so that is a good thing! I have not talked to Tiffany either, she wrote me a letter back detailing a traumatic childhood which always brings to focus of how it all went wrong. It is heartbreaking.
Worth reading/praying twice! Thanks so much! ❤
How in the world did you get stars to post?! I am trying now! ✨✨✨
It worked!!! ❤
It has healed nicely. Thank you. I am playing around with some castor oil, in addition to prescription and OTC drops.

Praying
Isaiah 62:12 reminded me of 1 Peter 2:9…
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
– – –
We are a holy people, redeemed, sought after, not deserted – God’s special possession, if that doesn’t give us reason to praise His holy Name – then nothing will!!
Praising God this morning that I am a child of God, known & loved by Him – as you all are too!

Special prayers please for traveling mercies as today we start our road trip through England. Yesterday was a bit “hairy” as we left the airport in our very BIG rental car to be driven on these very small roads! Not to mention the steering wheel is on the opposite side of the car & the car is on the opposite side of the road & the car is very unfamiliar with all kinds of technical gadgets that Jeff is not used to when driving a car! …it is VERY stressful for him – and this is supposed to be our vacation!

Have a blessed Saturday my friends – love you all! ❤️
Praying, Sharon!

Praying
Enjoy your time in England! Prayers for safe travels as you adjust to the differences.
Praying for a great trip and that he picks it up quickly! I made up this little phrase “little left- big right”. When I was about to need to turn. It helped me a lot.
Praying Sharon! Maybe Tina can give you some advice with the driving? Lol We rented a car in Switzerland and even though it was still the same side of the road, it was stressful! Praying for safety and PEACE as you drive!
Praying for safety and lots of happy moments! ❤
Praying!
I totally hear you on the driving. I don’t do it over there! Plus most cars we’ve had have been manuals, so it’s controlling it with the other hand. My husband is proficient at driving in both countries of course by now, and reminds himself “the driver needs to be in the middle of the road” to keep the car on the correct side of the road, when we first go “home” to Somerset or “back home” to Los Angeles.
And yes, we’ve noticed the cars getting bigger there while the parking spots and roads have not… Praying Jeff adjusts and you have no mishaps!
And they will be called the Holy People,
the LORD’s Redeemed;
and you will be called Cared For,
A City Not Deserted.
.
I just felt to make this personal.
.
TINA will be called “God’s Holy person,.
.
“The person the LORD has saved”
.
TINA will be called “The one thst God loves”
.
“The one God did not forsake” ever!
.
I am so very thankful for God’s love, grace, redemption and the fact that I am never forsaken, no matter my situation..
.
Thankful, always.
.
BUT GOD..
.
Amen.
.
Happy Saturday my dears..❤️
Amen. ❤️
Can we ever be thankful enough that we are never forsaken no matter what? No, so we’ll praise Him forevermore.
Thinking of the chorus All Hail King Jesus, Dave Moody, 1981.
.
All hail, King Jesus
All hail, Emmanuel
King of kings, Lord of lords
Bright Morning Star
.
And for all eternity
I’m going to praise Him
And forevermore
I will reign with Him
❤️
Love this!
❤️
LOVE this Tina and love you my sweet friend from across the pond!
