Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light;
a light has dawned
on those living in the land of darkness.

Happy Saturday sweet She’s!

Our VBS name this year was True North. As I read today’s verse I thought how appropriate it would have been to use it.
Thinking of the Alaska wilderness, the northern

Reflection photos are my favorite. Sometimes an image is even more pronounced in the reflection. Do you suppose that’s the way it is when we reflect Jesus? Is He more drawn to Him by His reflection in us rather than just the knowledge of Him? Something that just ran through my mind this morning. lights, the sun’s reflection on the snow and glaciers… so many parallels!
.
Have a wonderful day, sisters! Love, hugs, and prayers ❤
Should say, “Are people more drawn to Him by His reflection in us rather than just the knowledge of Him?”
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope, without light
‘Til from Heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfill the law and prophets
To a virgin came the word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt
.
Praise the Father, praise the Son
Praise the Spirit, three in one
God of glory, Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Praise God for the Light of the World – King Jesus!

Happy Saturday She’s! ❤️
I need to take a moment and listen to that song. It’s been a while! ❤
So thankful that the light overcomes the darkness, that it cannot be snuffed out. Jesus, light of the world, the bright and morning star. With hands lifted high, praise the Lord, Hallelujah!✝️
Amen
Thankful the darkness will not win.

Enjoy your day, Ladies.
Earlier in the week we read Luke 1:78-79. “Zachariah, said, “BECAUSE OF OUR GOD’S MERCIFUL COMPASSION, THE DAWN FROM ON HIGH WILL VISIT US to shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet in the way of peace.
This is connected to Luke 9:2. According to my brand new Life Application Commentary,” The good news is that God who is with us is a God who wants to turn our darkness into light, our conflict into shalom, our loss into abundance. our despair into joy.”
One of Jesus’s name is Bright and Morning Star!
Yes, Tanya, I thought of that verse immediately ad well because, like you, I was quite moved by it.
❤️
So thankful that the light of God still shines today and we get to reflect His light and love to the world! That is my prayer today to be a reflection of His love in our lost world!
Praying for all!
Amen! ❤

The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined.

… and the light’s name is Jesus, the Light of the whole world. Hallelujah!!
May the eyes and hearts of the lost be opened to You, Lord.
