Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Romans 8:38-39

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
—Romans 8:38–39

Sisters, I responded further down as a reply to Kelly (Neo). But I’ll post her also:
Andrew’s family learned this week he is diagnosed with rare Diffuse Leptomeningeal glioneuronal tumor (DLGT). It’s not something that can be removed with operation because of the diffuse nature. The doctor said that most likely this will be more of a chronic disease, and for now they won’t do anything.
He will have another MRI in two months to see if there is any progression. For now, all the effects are being managed successfully by the shunt.

We pray that Andrew (9) will feel good for years, and that if anything changes, it will be successfully treated. This will be a long journey of trusting God day by day for His care and provision.

    Good Morning Sisters,
Life is good, but Jesus is Very Good indeed! I just wanted to take this time to tell you about the Lord and how he works in us in so many different ways. I was blessed to have such a wonderful Father walk with me as a young child and then as a teenager and now as an adult but sometimes I didn’t know if he was there until I looked back later and saw the signs. My husband was not so lucky to see the signs and he has a much harder relationship with the Lord. You see my husband was born in the 70’s, into a very young family that wasn’t ready for children, since they were still children themselves. Two years later they had his sister by two teenage parents. His father was very abusive to his mother and his young children and this marriage lasted 5 years. Now the trouble really started when a step parent stepped in and treated them the same way as their father. On the weekends they had to visit their biological father and be a maid servant for him and/ or get beat. So this story continues year after year with a little boy curled up in a ball being beaten and him praying for the Lord to just take him out of this world. This young man has grown into a wonderful husband, a loving father, uncle, and grandparent but gives me credit for it all when really the Lord, Our God brought us together and walked with us through almost 31 years of Marriage! Don’t get me wrong, it has been tough, but when we trust in the Lord, miracles happen! Please pray for all battered and beaten men, women and children out there!

    1. Wendy B says:

Praise the Lord for the mighty work He has done in your husband’s life despite the great suffering and turmoil. Jesus makes the way ❤️

    2. Rhonda J. says:

Thank you so much for sharing this with us this morning! We need to share these stories for encouragement and hope that our God can Restore, equip, and make a way in all situations!! These chains can be hard to break, and cycles of abuse, anger, and generational curses…But God sent Jesus- that breaks all these! Turning to Him in the midst! Being a godly example!

      1. Rhonda J. says:

Can I share this on our FB SRT She’s page?

    3. Tanya Evans says:

Great story! With G-d s help we can overcome obstacles in this life and not so great beginnings!

  9. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

Nothing can never, ever, EVER separate us from God’s love! Even on my worst days – I am a child of God. Thank you SRT for this reminder!

This older praise song came to mind, Your Love Is Deep by Jami Smith…
    .
Your love is deep, Your love is high
Your love is long, long, Your love is wide
    .
Your love is deeper than my view of grace
    Higher than this worldly place
Longer than this road I’ve traveled
Wider than the gap You’ve filled
    .
And Your love is deep, Your love is high
Your love is long, long, Your love is wide
Your love is deep, Your love is high
Your love is long, long, Your love is wide
    .
    Who shall separate us
Who shall separate us from Your love
    Nothing can separate us,
Nothing can separate us from Your love
    .
Cause Your love is deep, Your love is high
Your love is long, long, Your love is wide
Your love is deep, Your love is so high
Your love is long, long, Your love is wide…

Happy Saturday She’s, may we rejoice today in God’s abounding love! ❤️

  10. Mari V says:

LOVE this verse! I have wonderful memories singing this with the youth, over 25 years ago! It was beautiful listening to them. AND even more wonderful, I am convinced nothing ever, ever will separate us from our JESUS! HE is everything! I believe this promise! Even when we feel like He’s not there, HE IS! Enjoying my daughter sitting next to me as she has her own devotions. She actually asked me to wake her up as she wanted to see the sunrise! God is good!

  11. Linda J says:

Good morning! Weeks ago I requested prayer for my oldest daughter who has been diagnosed with end stage liver disease. At that time, we believed a transplant was imminent. Such a helpless and overwhelming feeling. As Tina would say, But God❤️. We have all been abundantly blessed to see God’s love and His amazing creation in the intricacies of the human body. While she definitely has end stage disease, her body has developed alternate pathways to sustain her liver function for what appears to have been several years and is still doing so. The doctors have said this is “amazing” in so many ways. And at this time she does not need the transplant and can continue her normal life. She has no symptoms at this time. They will monitor her closely so that they can intervene when/if needed. Further evidence of God’s provision if that she lives in a city where she is being treated by one of the country’s leading liver transplant teams. So many scriptures rise up in me but Psalm 139:14, I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful p, I know that full well”. We know that full well and are so very thankful. Thank you for your prayers. Please keep my daughter in your prayers as I will remember your requests. Blessing dear sisters.❤️.

    1. Sharon Jersey Girl says:

Wow Linda – that is amazing! And yes, praise the Lord for “His amazing creation in the intricacies of the human body.”
I just yesterday remarked to the one who was taking my blood – to be sent to the lab (32 viles!!) that how amazing it is that God created our bodies to be able to replenish blood, and just like that! What an awesome God I will be praying for your daughter. ❤️

    2. Wendy B says:

What an amazing answer to prayer!❤️

    3. Rhonda J. says:

Wow Linda!! What a praise and a testament to faith and belief in our Lord!! Thank you for sharing!! I like on Saturdays to do such- it encourages all our She’s! God is working through His children to Tell and Remember! Shout from the rooftops his greatness and care!! AMEN!!!

      1. Rhonda J. says:

May I share this on our SRT She’s fb page?

        1. Linda J says:

          Of course!❤️

    4. Darby Byrd says:

Praise the Lord! Wow, that is a miracle! I’m so happy for your daughter and you, Linda❤️

  12. Cheryl Blow says:

Oh how wonderful nothing can separate us from the love of the Father provided to us by the Son. A gift lavished upon us and something we have to strive for or earn. Oh what a love that is! Thank you God! Thank you Jesus!

  15. Karen Swanson says:

I am struck today for the first time in the many I have read this verse, the phrase “from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The love of God that is [the work of] Christ [on the cross becoming] Jesus our Lord. The love of God is in that work that Christ did for us.
