Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.
For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

Amen!
Amen!
The idea of God’s work both within us and for us is profoundly humbling and reminds us of the depth of compassion and support we receive.
Amen
Thank you Jesus for your obedience and sacrifice that informs and solidifies my salvation!!
For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.

This is such a wonderful hope filled verse to wake up to..
My thoughts are: just as one person, in our lives can turn things belly up for us, so also , there is one man who can turn it around for our betterment..
.
Praise God. Praise Him for the love He continues to pour out over us, His beloved..
.
BUT GOD..
.
Hugs❤
Amen ❤

Oh, good grief! I had typed quite a bit, and thought I had a bit of time before my iPad died… nope! Lucky for you, right?!?! I have just now caught up on all the readings and comments and took notes. Hope to be on task with the readings and the podcast this upcoming week! I was a woman in His word every day, but sadly… not here. I missed SRT and my sweet sisters! Welcome to all our new sisters, BTW!
.
Some thoughts…
.
“Did God REALLY say?” How often do we say the exact same thing that Satan did?
.
Aren’t you glad we’re not naked? Heeheehee!
.
And Cain is such a smart aleck… “Am I my brother’s keeper/guardian?” Can you even imagine talking to God like that? Actually… how often do WE talk to God like that?!?!
.
Noah did everything EXACTLY according to God’s instructions. Do I? Ummm… no. And I am always amazed that people paint this account as a cutesy little story, when it is really very tragic. (Our preschool is called Noah’s Ark Preschool. Church members voted on it. For the record, I did not!) And I just love to see a beautiful rainbow… how can such a beautiful symbol be used by groups in a non-Biblical way?!?!
.
The end.

CLARIFYING ….. The comments I’ve been hearing about the fires and people’s homes were not here at SRT. They would never be here in SRT because everybody here is praying for them! It’s comments I’ve been reading on news clips, which I tend to usually stay away from It’s so sad. These people are losing their homes and people are so mean.
I have a migraine which usually comes with weather/pressure changes. I usually just get the eye auras. But it is making it difficult to read everyones comments. Just want to let you all know how much I love and appreciate all your comments.
Hope your migraine goes soon, precious Traci.
Sending get well soon hugs covered in prayer..❤
So thankful that despite our choice separated us from God, He still sent us our redemption. Another choice, but such a blessing. He gives ❤️
So thankful for Christ’s obedience to the cross! Where would I be without my Lord!
Well, last night was a cough fest for me! I’m feeling better this morning. Since I couldn’t sleep, I prayed, praised and rejoiced in God my Savior! Thankful for a new day!
Thank you SEARCHING AND KELLY for your prayer lists! I will be praying over them!
Thank you for your prayers! Have a wonderful day!!
❤
Thanks, sisters, for the review prompts! I had written my comment, moved my finger wrong in proofreading, and lost it. A little different this time, but …
.
“He alone knows the end from the beginning, and we can rest in Him.”
.
Yesterday I was reminded of these verses from Moses’ prayer and how well they fit this study:
A prayer of Moses, the man of God
Psalm 90:1-2
1 Lord, through all the generations
you have been our home!
2 Before the mountains were born,
before you gave birth to the earth and the world,
from beginning to end, you are God.
.
Day 2 –
“God’s way is the way of the garden—the way where we move at His pace and are molded according to the true potter’s hands.”
Reminds me of the old hymn, Have Thine Own Way and, like many of you –
Psalm 46:10- be still and know that I am God
.
Day 3 –
“Thankfully, we have something that Cain didn’t have: the Holy Spirit. Through the gift of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, we have a helper and an advocate who is ready to work when repentance feels too hard. That is how good God is—even as He asks us to be faithful, He helps us to do it.”
Philippians 4:13
“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
.
Day 4 –
“…God can find hope in unexpected places. May we go forward with faith and be part of the healing, in whatever way
He is calling us.”
1 John 2:24
“So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.”
1 Thessalonians 5:23
“Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. 24 God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.”
.
Day 5 –
“… just as God transformed the clouds in the skies to show a rainbow after a storm, He has renewed our hearts so that no matter where our sin leads us, His covenant faithfulness calls us back to Him.”
Ezekiel 36:26
“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.”
.
Thanks, sisters for your prayer lists. Joining in those prayers! ❤
Ahh, I hate it when that happens! Still you soldiered on to bring us great insight..
Hugs my dear..❤
❤ thanks for that encouragement, sis!
Hugs from a frozen over south (USA)!
Because of my (OUR) Jesus I (WE) am (ARE) here today gathered in ONE all-over-the-world Bible study. I am so privileged to be part of this beautiful community of beautiful She’s. Good morning and happy Saturday to you Beauties!!
Good morning, RhondaJ. It’s pretty chilly here in Northern California, about 41°. I normally don’t do my devotionals on my bed, but I am this morning because I want to stay in my blankets. My sweet friend Soma and I will be heading out on our Saturday morning walk soon. Please keep Southern California in your prayers. My friend Gretchen‘s kids live in Southern California, not near the fires, but I know that the smoke is everywhere! Made me think of all the people who are losing their homes, the rich and the poor. It doesn’t matter your status… I read some very disturbing comments of people. Some people can be so mean. It doesn’t matter whether you’re rich or poor. These people are losing their homes, memories. I felt really sad for them.
Sending hugs Mari ..❤
I am changed, I am restored, I am NEW—all because of ONE man, I am Righteous! Yes, Wow, and Amen!! I’ve been washed from the inside!! By the Blood! -Look up that song (By the Blood)! God sent his son, to cleanse us and make a way, the ONLY way! And in response I choose this gift, wooed by the Spirit, and giving my life to Jesus!! “It’s never been about performance or striving… deserving or earning…!” Then I listen to “Abandoned” by Benjamin Williams Hastings (with Brandon Lake).
That is my response- to give it all for the One that gave it all. Most days I don’t feel like it. I would prefer to live in my bubble of praise music worship Unfortunately we have to get out and live, go, and be the light, the hands and feet of Jesus! We have to leave the “feel good spaces” to the awkward, go and tell, spread the word, disciple and serve..spaces. Now with that said, don’t forget our first ministry is our husband and kids, but we were made for more! (another good song!) I was made to be a vessel for the Lord! Praise God.
Thank you Lord, for sending your Son, for rescuing me from my separation and restoring me to you! Lord, may I take this gift, this precious, precious gift and give it to others, for you, for them, for me, it is a blessing to pour out, from your love! It floors me Lord, your love for humanity, even though we grieved you with our wayward, stiff-necked ways Lord. Let my heart break for what breaks your heart Lord, I want you, I need you, I will give, no matter the cost, help me to lay it all at your feet, and search me Lord. Be with all my sisters and draw us close, give us comfort and courage to do your will instead of our own. You know what is best for us, may we trust and obey, and know your plans, to give us a hope and a future, good, and not to harm us! In Jesus name! Amen
AMEN
I love that you mentioned their first ministry is our family. After Jesus, because Jesus will always be first, then it’s my kids!!!! I will change schedules move things around if they need me. But Jesus always comes first.
Amen, Rhonda..❤
Thanks SO much for the encouragement, Ladies!! I appreciate the suggestions, too. While I don’t get a bubble bath at night (LOL:), I do love good praise music and I also pulled and wrote out this verse from 1 John 3: “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (love that lavished word!!) I will plan to meditate on this along with some good praise music on my way to bed this year.
Jesus you change everything! Father God thank you! For your perfect plan of redemption, for your grace, for your long suffering, for your love, for your forgiveness, for your beautiful story that you have given us. Thank you thank you thank you!
Through one man sin entered the world and through the second, grace came abounding that gave us full as access to the tree of life. Rev. 22:1-2
Reminded of this verse this morning, aligns with today’s verse. It took me back to day 2 where Our devotion writer shared “Gods way in the garden – is where we move at His pace and are molded according to the true potters hand. That process takes time, patience, stillness to allow God to create His wisdom within us and requires reorienting my priorities to be about being with Him”.
In Genesis 1 “God saw all that He had made and it was very good” shortly after in Genesis 6 “The Lord regretted He had made man”.
Prayerfully considering what it means to be with God, resist sins allure and find the “gift” which comes through the grace of one man Jesus Christ, because it has truly overflowed to me and for all.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” The sorrow of Romans 3:23 leads us to the joy and praise of Romans 5:19…”so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.”

Thank you Jesus.

Happy Saturday sweet she’s. ❤️
Amen ❤
Amen!!!
Lord Jesus thank you for your obedience so we all have been made righteous and can commune with you.
So thankful for you all and our shared faith that daily encourages me.
It is because of one man’s willingness and obedience, by a sacrifice and grace far more than I (we)deserve that we have hope, help, healing and can know New Life.
Thank you, Jesus. Thank you❤️
Amen
Happy Saturday morning Ladies, from the snow “covered” South!
I spent some time thinking about the themes our study book points out will be throughout the book of Genesis and decided to put some more effort into that today.
Looking back over the week’s study, Day 2’s devotion pointed out something that I do find lacking in my life – “[God’s way] requires reorienting my priorities to be about being with God rather then doing for Him.” I’m good with checklists and tasks, but just sitting in His presence and enjoying time with Him is scarce. So today I’m committing to look specifically for the theme of covenant and calling as God shows how much He really wants a relationship with me, not just lots of ‘should’s and ought’s’.
Did any of the themes speak to you or your season strongly this time?
Love spending time opening my Bible with you all each day!
I’m right there with you. Checking off SRT daily comes easily, but actually spending time in prayer and quieting my mind to let the Holy Spirit speak to my heart is a struggle.
Thank you, Sally B. for putting into words my experience. Coming upstairs, where my computer is, to join in the SRT bible study with my coffee in hand, is a habit I’ve had for a couple years. That’s the easy part. And I love it. Why, when I go back downstairs, do I carry on with daily living and not spend more time with the Lord throughout the day? I’m so easily distracted.
Lord, draw me close all day long so that each breath I take is a reminder of your nearness. Amen.
Great insight, ladies… I’m right there, too… Good to be reminded of His love for each one of us… yes! That would also be me!!♥️
Put so spot on with many of us Sally! I have such a hard time quietening my mind to just to sit in a space with the Lord! It usually happens in my nightly bubble bath and before bed. lol. My main way is through praise songs throughout the day.
AS far as the doing- I share this with my small group a lot, that for years I wanted to DO something, anything, as far as volunteering and serving…and then it was as the Lord said, You want to DO…but you don’t even know me! How can you do FOR me, when the best is to know me…and that is when I started reading my bible daily (and found SRT withing that year!) But that was in 2014! Then just a few years ago..he blew up the serving, sharing, doing for him!! I have been used in so many amazing ways, and the ways that I am able to share his word, know his heart for his children basically jumps from me!! He wants our hearts, not our doing, but then yes, he will use us beyond our dreams! It becomes passion rather than a doing for him, it is with him!!
Thank you for your invoking comment this morning!
Right there with you Sally and other commenting ladies. I’m a doer get it done and stillness is a struggle. God was showing me in the fall He doesn’t want earning and striving. God wants a relationship with us.
Yes Rhonda, I find music is a place I find God often.
Thank you Sally B. I need to do the exact same thing and spend more time just listening.
Me! Raised hand right here. Open up Isaiah 30:15. And I spoke to me deeply about where my confidence will come from. And strength will be gained by resting
Me too! I can totally relate to this comment and all the others! I struggle with this as well. Praying that I can be “be still and know”. I know how important it is and yet, I don’t do it nearly enough. And yes, I get so busy in my day and don’t stay connected to Him. Prayers for all of you ladies in this area as well!! Thank you for your comments. I love this group.
Thanks Sally B I was struck by that statement as well.I have become convinced that being busy in ministry can never take the place of just basking in His
presence!I’m praying for deliverance from the “Martha”
syndrome and that I will learn to
“choose that good part” that Jesus spoke of.
We are all with you, Sally B. We live in a time where life‘s happenings are demanding of our “time“ It’s the main reason I do my best to get up early in the morning so that I don’t have any distractions. But I totally am with you as trying to quiet our mind and heart and just sit in silence to hear from the Lord. I needed to do that more often and frequently.
Yes, I have been so involved in helping Steve rescue our business that I’ve been struggling to make time to spend with God. Yes, I get the reading done (check it off my list), but do I spend time with Him, talking, sharing, adoring…?
Thanks for sharing your comment…very convicting!
Hugs to all of you as we dig out of all this snow. ❤️
Sadly… I have lists for my lists most days, it seems. (Crazy, Googly-eyed emoji!) I need to just BE and be less concerned with the DO!
Such beautiful insight that actually tugged at my heart..
Thank you Sally for the nudge to spend more time WITH GOD..❤
❤️
Thank You, Jesus for Your willingness to come. ❤️

Nicky – I saw your post on the app (I don’t use it normally) on Day 2 I think it was and quoted part of it in my comment on the website in case it didn’t sync (and I don’t think it did). Anyway – thank you for sharing on today’s verse that day re one man’s obedience making you want to shout Jesus from the rooftop. ❤️
