Our human senses can also be deceptive. Live by faith, not by sight

I’m so grateful for all God is doing in my life
There are so many times that Jesus has showed up in my life and helped me through hard times. He has given me peace when I have been anxious, given me joy when I have been sorrowful and made me aware of his presence when I have been alone.
It’s so good to see you again daily Jennifer!! Weren’t you starting a business a couple years ago? If so, how’s it going, I remember it was challenging?! I could be thinking of someone else..
❤️
Thank you for your continued prayers. I had a most horrific realization last light upon talking to the daughter who accompanied me to my surgery. She says that they did give me complete follow up instructions and information on what medications to take/not to take, but that I didn’t seem aware of what they were saying. Then they made sure I could walk around the room and up and down stairs and offered me a drink and a snack before sending me home. I remember EXACTLY NONE OF THAT before the point that they offered me a soda. So I was still under anesthesia during almost all of my post op instruction, and nobody noticed aside from my daughter, who is 19 and had never been in a surgery facility before. I don’t even remember her being there. This explains a great deal of my confusion from the past week, and many of the medical mistakes which have caused me so much pain and suffering. It’s also terrifying. I don’t know quite what to do with it yet. But it adds a significant load to the already significant pile I carry of a lifetime of medical trauma/neglect/abandonment. Please ask the Lord to give me not only healing, but also wisdom and courage to go forward from this point.
Praying, Margaret. Praying for total and complete healing as well as wisdom and courage to go on. Keep your eyes on the “prize” – total and complete healing, better days ahead and better mobility.
Margare, I am so sorry!!! I understand completely because I have been in that situation. When I had my first colonoscopy many years ago, apparently I wad listening and asking questions, but after I got home had NO MEMORY of anything doc or I said! Fortunately, I escaped the trauma you experienced with your meds and ZTHANK GOD that your daughter was there. This experience will go a long way in helping her advocate for you in the future. Prayers for peace for your heart and mind through this and complete healing from your surgery. I would like for them to give a printed copy of their post-surgery conversation before releasing the patient. That way the patient knows what questions were asked as well as the answers. Hugs, sister ❤
Margaret, I am so sorry you have experienced this; it is very scary, unsettling and traumatic. Have prayed for peace, for your heart and mind to be settled and for healing for your body in every way.
Interesting to read what Wiersbe said on this verse:
“It is an encouragement to us to know that the Lord had a personal interest in and concern for “Doubting Thomas.” He wanted to strengthen his faith and include Him in the blessings that lay in store for His followers. Thomas reminds us that unbelief robs us of blessings and opportunities. It may sound sophisticated and intellectual to question what Jesus did, but such questions are usually evidence of hard hearts, not of searching minds.”

“Unbelief robs us of blessings and opportunities…”

How many times does God call us to do something and we shy away from it because we ‘don’t see ourselves doing that’? What blessing or opportunity are we missing for maturity in our faith? Just a couple of ponders from that statement. Continued prayers for each of you, sisters! Especially thinking of MARIA BAER, HEATHER, ALEIDA, LYNNE IN AL, LINDA IN NC, NANCY S, GRAMIESUE, those who lost so much in the hurricanes, those charged with rebuilding complete towns/cities. ❤
That’s good, thank you!
❤
Good morning and HAPPY Saturday!! I SLEPT over 7 hours and other than a slight headache, I feel great! Loved this morning’s verse!! I have mentioned this many times when I felt so alone and scared, but MY JESUS was with me the entire time, He never abandoned me, I never felt abandoned. Oh…I did ask why? or when? BUT I know HE was with me!! I did not “see” Him, but I KNOW He was with me.
❤
VICTORIA E – Apologies for not seeing your question on yesterday’s post!
Short answer – Yes!
We know that many who ‘don’t believe’ are lawful citizens and don’t set out to hurt others (as Cain did), BUT they are also susceptible to being one act or thought away from giving Satan a foothold to take them deeper into sin. I believe God can and does work through those, too, as we saw Him counseling Cain to give him a chance to confess and repent. I hope that makes sense on my ‘one cup of coffee’ attempt! Lol
I LOVE SEARCHING’s answer, too! Amen! ❤
It is a wonderful feeling to know we were thought of and mentioned by Jesus (although not by name) at various places in scripture. Before the foundations of the world – He knew us and had a plan that included all of us!! …blessed is he who has not seen and believed.

Happy Saturday sweet she’s! ❤️
❤
Love this too, in AWE that I am Chosen- to do great things In Him and For Him!
I may not physically see God but I see His power and love transform lives
❤
Good Morning Shes
My sense of Week One can be summarized.
12 “pressing on …”
13 “ …forgetting the past … looking forward to what lies ahead”
14 …to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize…for which God is calling…”
(Philippians 3: 12-13)
My Lord, keep me focused, free from deceit or distraction…and face forward.
♥️♥️♥️
Amen and amen!
Thank you! Very much needed this morning!
❤
Good verse!
Ugh..I pushed something that cleared my comment by accident! (eye roll emoji)
So
Good Morning! I was just saying HOW important it is to pass down our faith to our kids and grandkids! Before Bibles they told oral stories of God’s great faithfulness. How many times do we tell our kids, family, friends of HOW our GOD is there for us! Our testimonies are everything! It shows others in a REAL way of God’s love and faithfulness!
Also, how we respond in our afflictions reveals SO much to everyone around us! When the hard hits, do we complain, go to alcohol, get mad? We need to be representatives of God’s faithfulness in every way.You have heard it said “You may be the only Bible someone reads!” You represent Jesus!
In this voting season…how you respond, what you stand for- it matters! It shows our faithfulness to Him and not what society wants us to go with. It should be clear cut shouldn’t it? God is love…yes, but GOD has very clear guidelines as well. I don’t see how Christians justify many things. We love everyone, but we follow his instructions. I just heard something good on the radio! “Sacrifice covers our mistakes…Obedience prevents our mistakes!” That’s good! His faithfulness is there to always forgive us when we repent but He wants us to grow in our relationship to learn his ways for our good.
Prayers Linda, glad you had a good day with all the doctors and felt the prayers!
Prayers for Hudson!
Prayers for Victor.
Prayers for all the requests!
I have my group today—starting Ephesians= “Chosen!” I’m excited, even though we just studied it herd, it’s so beautiful!
♥️
Praying for your group! Great words to live by. I think we sometimes forget to ‘tell with words’ because we assume our family ‘knows’. The people of Israel were required to live by the law so they HAD to pass that down to ensure obedience. We live under grace and, as you eluded, take that for granted. ❤
“Sacrifice covers our mistakes..Obedience prevents our mistakes!” LOVE this Rhonda, I put on my notes!
“Sacrifice covers our mistakes…Obedience prevents our mistakes!” So. Good.
Despite all our attempts at obedience, we are not perfect. We cannot do this on our own. We still need God’s grace.
What a week, sisters! We’ve read, prayed, pondered, questioned, researched, shared and prayed some more. I love the depth of research I’ve seen, the vulnerability of our questions and the sharing of our heart hurts and praises. Thank you, sisters, love this community!

Takeaway from yesterday – our motivation matters as does intention, focus, attitude and priorities. All of this is true in life and ESPECIALLY as we continue to grow in our faith and relationship with the Lord. God sees our hearts and is never fooled by our “virtue signaling” (I had never seen this phrase before, LAURA, thanks) so let’s not pretend to fool ourselves.
–
HEATHER O’MALLEY – thank you for Hudson update, thankful for his communication and relationship with you. Praying for his heart and mind.
–
GRAMSIESUE- appreciate your comment yesterday, thanks
–
CEE GEE – ❤️ you and that song! Had not thought of it in a long time. The line that got me was … well, I just looked back to get the exact wording and really, the whole song speaks so much truth of what is needed every day.
–
VICTORIA E – jumping in to give my 2 cents on your question to CEE GEE and I’m sure she’ll chime in later and give us her insight. I think, yes, it applies to unbelievers too – if I’m right in understanding that your question is about anger giving place to the devil, and our grudges and bitter feelings separating us from God and others (correct me please if I misunderstood). It takes a lot of energy for both believers and nonbelievers to keep anger stirred up and at the top of our thoughts, leaving us depleted and having less to use toward building good relationships and moving forward from hurt. The more we focus on what’s wrong or not to our liking, the less open we are to the Lord and to reconciliation.
–
LARA M – a formality, thank you for this.
–
SHARON JERSEY GIRL – yes, the moon! So beautiful this week. Pictures don’t do it justice – thank you Lord for this beauty.
–
LINDA IN NC – so sorry, sister, for this week’s challenges and that they were made tougher by being exhausted- and so thankful for your praise report this morning!

Blessings to you, Searching, Tina, Sharon and others who are so faithful in upholding this group!♥️

I appreciate your follow up and continuing prayers about requests. ❤️
Jesse has had three different episodes of fainting when seated at a restaurant table after just eating and engaging in conversation. I think it may be related to his severe mitral valve regurgitation and heart failure that may cause not get enough blood to his brain. (Google). He has an appointment with his cardiologist on the 30th.
The cardiologist PA attempted to do a titration with RX that had side effects and was stopped.
Please continue to pray for healing and coordination of dentist and doctor in order to have a procedure done to facilitate his heart mitral valve regurgitation and heart failure improvements.
Love the ‘flip’! ❤
Thank you so much for your specific prayers yesterday. I could immediately feel them! Though we were all exhausted, including son & dil, we had good doctor visits. Memory clinic PA said no med changes but some decline cognitively which has been visible to us.
So very thankful for the urologist we have. Not only saw the nurse but he also took the time to come in to check the situation and show me what to do, give me the tools I needed and give orders to our home health nurse to prevent future ER visits. So very thankful!!
Have a very blessed weekend sweet she’s❤
Good news! Thanks for the update
Praise the Lord for answers to prayer, and for the help that was given. I hope you get some time to rest today & recoup from your stressful week. ❤️
Linda, what a relief to have orders for home health included! I know from experience with my husband how much relief that gives you!!! Praying you all rest well now that these issues are resolved. Continued prayers all around. Love and hugs! ❤
So glad you got the support and help you needed! The vesicostomy will be SUCH an improvement. They are so much better than catheters when there is a long-term need. Praying for rest for all. ❤️
Thank you for sharing! Continuing to pray!
So good to hear! Continuing to pray!
Thank You, Father, that although we have never seen You of Your Son, Jesus, face to face, we believe. Thank You, Father, for the reminder if what we have seen: Your faithfulness. Great is Your faithfulness, O God, my Father. You have always been there, even in the darkness. Even in our weakest moments, You have always been near. Help us to see where You are in the circumstances before us, Your people, Your belovéd, now. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’s name, amen.
