Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Psalm 103:11-12

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his faithful love toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Happy Saturday ladies! Praying for you all today. We are in the process of moving my parents out of my childhood home into something a bit smaller. Such a bitter sweet thing for my family. So many happy and also hard memories here. Praying this new house feels like a new beginning.

  4. Lanie H says:

Oh wow sisters do I have an update for y’all. Thank you for the encouragement and prayers, I want to share this also for any others who may be paralyzed by or working through a works based theology. Idk if all churches have this next steps class but HIGHLY recommend! This was a 3 hour class that went over the structure of our church, areas of service, and a very detailed assessment of your skills, spiritual gifts, personality, and passions to see where you may want to serve. It became crystal clear to me today that the guilt of “cleaning my patients house” was a symptom of a much larger problem that I didn’t believe the “body of Christ” was referring to the local church. While I felt church was important for Sunday service, learning, worshiping, and even community groups I felt service was a singular responsibility of mine. In taking the assessment I found that the areas I often feel guilty, and not good enough (are very tangible areas of service like cleaning, giving, feeding the homeless) were my weakest points for personality, skills, and gifts. When I saw the list of passion areas or populations you feel called to I was overwhelmed by how many there were, and no wonder I felt overwhelmed by the need. The areas I am good at and passionate about were areas I didn’t consider service. I thought it was purely selfish, and the population I felt called to I didn’t even consider it as a needed area! It became very apparent that these “deeds” I keep feeling overwhelmed and guilty over have been a huge distraction to the areas I actually could have been serving the body of Christ! I was talking about biblical literacy and she reads truth and my mentor today said see that is really hard for me, it’s much easier for me to do a tangible task, and I just didn’t realize that before. All this to say, the devil is really sneaky. And if you’re not involved in the local church and can see different people with different gifts working together as whole, it can make you feel like you’re supposed to be doing it all. It’s just distraction from what you’re made to do. I’m so excited and hopeful for the groups I joined today!

    1. Margaret W. says:

That is beautiful, Lanie! It is so freeing to see where we are called to serve, but also, where we are NOT called to serve. Grace to you, sister.

    2. Cee Gee says:

Wow, Lanie!!! Thanks so much for sharing about the class; I am excited for you! ❤

  5. Indiana Elaine says:

This is another Psalm that my mother and I memorized while on dish duty. At the time I never realized what a treasure she was planting in my heart. Recovery is going well. I even walked with a cane yesterday in therapy. I am so ready to give up the walker.

    1. GramsieSue says:

Glad to hear they’ve put you on a cane. You go girl!

      1. Indiana Elaine says:

        Thank you!❤️

    2. Kelly (NEO) says:

      1. Indiana Elaine says:

    5. Tina says:

Ahh, Indiana, this is progree and good news. Wonderful. Will continue to pray for your well being. ❤️

  6. Rhonda J. says:

This verse always reminds me of the song by Casting Crowns- “East to West.”

It floors me how God erases our sins in repentance away forever, especially because we can’t seem to forgive ourselves for things we have done, and others. We seem to label people by their pasts rather than seeing them as who they may be now. Hopefully their action shows change, but even then, its US they keeps them in that label. I am so grateful that must of my sins are not know. How that would bring me down, and now that I work with our jail girls I see how they have such struggles moving forward in the hard challenges once they are released. And the broken relationships with their children and other family. It is hard which usually leads them back to the addictions that creates the cauas. I really am led to help them in this uphill battle. If the Lord can forgive…who am I to not to. Might I add that yes, there needs to be strong boundaries, wisdom and discernment as well!

    1. Donna Wolcott says:

Rhonda I can understand that. When I worked in prison ministry with men in medium security, they would have a time to share. They would tell of the past and how faith had changed them. One Sunday, at a service, they asked me to share. That would have been against prison rules and I was also the only woman at the service. So I simply said, I had regrets. I never judged their pasts and never asked what they were in for, although I did know if it was predatory. Mutual respect was how I wanted it and to see them look at what they could be, so when and if released they had hope. The biggest hope was that they could be forgiven by their Lord and Savior. Best in your ministry with the women, we all have a past (speaking for myself), that we would like erased. I listened to Casting Crowns, “East from the West”.

    2. Tina says:

      BUT and only GOD.. Rhonda..❤️

  7. Cheryl Blow says:

This verse! How faithful is God to us! His love for us is unfathomable! As far as the east is from the west, He removed our transgressions from us! He removed! He took them away! We have been washed clean! The love of our Savior!

Thank you all for your insights! I look forward to them everyday! Thank you Tina and others for always sharing the prayer lists! Please add me to the list. My shoulder has healed but I have restricted movement still. I’m still doing my PT exercises but it’s like we are pushing against a wall. I will be honest I am battling depression from this. And my fibromyalgia is flaring so I hurt all over. I hate to ask because there are so many with much worse than me but I would appreciate any prayers. Thanks! Praying for all of you.

    1. GramsieSue says:

Prayers for your healing process, Cheryl. Hugs to you ❤️

    2. Kelly (NEO) says:

We are here to help carry you to the Healer…don’t hesitate to ask.

    3. Mercy says:

Praying for healing..and please share with us your troubles. I used to hide it too thinking it’s not worth mentioning or it may sound like I’m whining. But God corrected me in this, to allow people walk into my pain.

    4. Cee Gee says:

Cheryl, adding my prayers for healing from the limited range of motion and the depression.

    5. Tina says:

Cheryl, praying complete restoration and healing for your shoulder, and for the depression to subside. Please never think your need for prayer at anytime is too small, we carry one another’s burdens, troubles, arms as and when we are called to.. call on us, no matter how small or big.❤️

  8. Mari V says:

NOW that’s OUR God! Happy Saturday sweeties!! LOVE, love, love these verses! HIS love is SO great. I have always loved the visual/comparison of sin being removed as far as the east to west! NOW that’s OUR God! I’m SO glad its Saturday! I woke up thinking about our “few” challenging TKers and what can I do, especially when it gets hard. I’m the first one there everyday morning (6:50 am) as I live close by. This morning I felt as though God telling me to continue praying over the room, the cubbies which have the name of every single child for both classes. God is good! HE gets ALL the glory! Please continue to pray over our staff. It does get tiresome.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

I love that you pray over the room and cubbies!! One day I hope we see how effective those prayers were…but, here, I do feel the power when I pray over spaces! I love you enthusiasm for your job and your littles!! It is so encouraging there are teachers like you!

  9. Cee Gee says:

So THANKFUL for His forgiveness and love! May I be faithful in sharing His love wherever I am.

Every year our town has an event for the community – Ramsey Day (Ramsey is the name of our town). It’s today – our church will have a table at it & we’re giving away all sorts of gospel oriented gifts, including bibles. Please pray the rain stays away, & that we will have many opportunities to be the light & share the love of Christ.

    1. Cee Gee says:

Praying in agreement, Sharon, for a blessings filled and blessings given day! ❤

  15. Kelly (NEO) says:

    Happy Saturday, Shes
    .
So much comfort in today’s verses. What an amazing truth that the God who is all-knowing chooses to forget my sin when I repent and seek forgiveness.
    .
How deep the Father’s love for us
    How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure
    .
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
    Bring many sons to glory
    .
Behold the man upon a cross
    My sin upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
    Call out among the scoffers
    .
It was my sin that held Him there
    Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
    .
I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
    His death and resurrection
    .
Why should I gain from His reward?
    I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
    .
Why should I gain from His reward?
    I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom.
    .

    1. Cee Gee says:

Thanks, Kelly! I sang it through and then once more with a little tweak.
      ~
      How deep the Father’s FOR-GIVE-NESS
      How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

    2. Mari V says:

KELLY…..I’ve had this song on repeat all week long.

    3. Mercy says:

    4. Tina says:

His wounds have paid my ransom..
      AMEN.

  16. Searching says:

I read today’s verses and cried as I prayed in thankfulness for the Lord’s abounding, faithful love (mercy) for me(us) and removing our transgressions from us (forgiveness, and not throwing them back in our faces when we stumble again). Thank you Lord for this as my transgressions were and are many.

Echoing TINA’s prayer list as I prep for that meeting/encounter later this morning.

TRACI GENDRON – ❤️ this morning, when I read your comment from yesterday – an understanding clicked, that presenting oneself in a fashionable, attractive way is what comes natural to some (like you) and is part of who you are, and not a statement of superior status compared to the fashion-challenged (like me). My comment the previous day should have been prefaced with a disclaimer that I was only speaking from my own experiences with those around me – where I am (or feel that I am) criticized/treated with disdain because my appearance isn’t up to their standards. My apologies for any hurt I may have caused you or others.

    CEE GEE ❤️
    DONNA WOLCOTT ❤️
KRIS – praying as you adjust to your son’s NZ return
SHARON JERSEY GIRL- praying for equipment issues to be resolved and future treatments to happen as scheduled
LANIE H – praying as you begin that class today

    1. Traci E Gendron says:

Oh Searching I’m guessing what you have felt is real. Those that like fashion can be very judging against those that do not. Just as I have been judged. It’s too bad we can’t let each other be as we are in these kinds of areas. Believe me I’m not innocent here. Living in the west, I’m always thinking, “why is everyone so sloppy?” Not very nice of me. So no need to apologize! My husbands family is judging in academia. I’m more interested in the arts. So I have felt that judgement from them. It’s hurtful. It means we can’t get beyond ourselves to love and accept others as they are. I need to work on this.

  17. Tina says:

Love to ALL my sisters here.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    1. Searching says:

❤️ love you, and thank you for the dancing encouragement, sister! One of my favorite things that seems like a far-off goal right now….But God. ❤️❤️❤️

      1. Cee Gee says:

SEARCHING – Keep that goal front and center, sister!!! Let me know when you are ready and I will join you! Sometimes I have to reign in my movement during music at church. ❤

      2. Tina says:

This is not a far off when God is in it.. prayerful ..
        .
        ❤️

    2. Cee Gee says:

Thank you for this beautiful list of love and encouragement dear TINA!!! Much love and happy day to you, too! ❤
Btw – I am one kf those fashion challenged females! One if my greatest dreams in high school was to be named best dressed – a very lofty dream for a country girl who made a lot of her clothes!

      1. Rhonda J. says:

Haha..can I tell you I got “most fashionable” in school! I do love clothes…It’s just I like yoga pants more and cheap clothes!

    3. Traci Gendron says:

Oh Tina, no need to apologize. I wanted to throw the other side out there. My friend and I really enjoy fashion, decor, art, and music. I realize it is foreign to others. Just as my husbands family full of engineers and scientist are foreign thinking to me. My husband has had to explain how they think when I’ve been hurt by them. Goes back to loving others as God loves us! I love you my sister! You mean so much to me.

    4. GramsieSue says:

Thank you for your prayers for all of us. It’s good to see the names of those who haven’t been commenting for a while and lift up prayers for them.
Our DIL still isn’t speaking to us but I have been allowed to have grands here for homeschooling. That makes my heart happy. ❤️

      1. Indiana Elaine says:

Gramsiesue, I feel with you in your relationship to your DIL. I had one that was very crude and would not speak to me. She also told me everything I ever did wrong. Thankfully she did not keep the grandkids away. Things are some better, but know the feelings are there. My prayers are with you!❤️

    5. Mercy says:

Thank you sweet Tina for your love and encouragement. I need to learn to dance in my kitchen like you ❤️ heehee..I have always been so shy.

  18. Monica Slaughter says:

His love for us is far greater than we could ever imagine… Thank you Jesus for first loving me, in spite of me and my ways!!! Hallelujah

  19. Tina says:

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his faithful love toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
    —Psalm 103:11–12
    .
These verses have me tearing. Doesn’t help, or maybe that’s just it, that the worship song, Holy Forever plays in the background.
    .
    Holy Forever,
    If you’ve been forgiven,
    If you’ve been redeemed,
Sing the song Forever to the Lamb.
    .
    If you walk in freedom,
    If you bear His name,
We’ll sing song Forever and Amen..
    .
    I am in bits..
Because I know this truth deep in my heart..
    I am forgiven.
    I am redeemed.
    I walk in freedom.
And oh for sure I bear His name..
Oh, may I join the angels and creation to cry Holy. Holy Holy..
Lord hear the song of this thankful heart today.. Holy. Holy. Holy..
    .
Holy Forever.. Thank you Lord Jesus, thank you..
    .
    AMEN.
    .
Happiest of Saturdays dear hearts as you cry.. Holy. Holy. Holy to the King of Kings..
Be Blessed in all you do today..
Much love, covered in prayers for all.❤️❤️❤️
