Grace Day

Open Your Bible

1 John 3:23

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

Now this is his command: that we believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another as he commanded us.

  2. Mercy says:

Bless the Lord this day dear shes. Joining you in giving thanks to God for His goodness. “Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” Psalm 35:27. May your health prosper as your soul prosper dear shes, same for your children, grandchildren, and household. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. Delight yourself in the Lord, He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way into the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

      Amen, thanks Mercy!

  3. Adrienne says:

Ahhhh… Grace Day… or as I need to call it… “Catch Up on Monday and Wednesday Day”. Heeheehee!
    .
I listened to the podcast earlier this week and was caught off guard by the fruit (singular) of the Spirit. I always considered them fruitS! (I don’t remember if I did the Fruit of the Spirit” study. You would think I woulda remembered that!) Anyhoo…

    1. Rhonda J. says:

I still need to listen. I have fallen behind in the podcasts!

  4. Wendy B says:

So much of the beautiful story of Jesus and what we need to live out is summed up in this verse.

Thank you ladies, so much for your words of encouragement that are a balm for my heart, a lifter of my head. Your prayers are a gift. Christ be magnified

You will be in my prayers, please stay here with us ❤️

I have actually been a part of SRT for many years – almost from the beginning:). I used to daily contribute thoughts and reflecting but now it is rare that I comment. For me it easily becomes very time consuming and not ideal to do so as I only have my phone as a device and I have established personal limits with my phone usage. It is such a valuable space and a blessing to have it but praying for these sisters is my priority over sharing ❤️❤️❤️

  5. Traci Gendron says:

I needed this verse today. I struggle with always loving others. I think it is fear based. We have so many living crazy lifestyles in Colorado. I feel so out of place.

    1. Gwineth52 says:

      Dear Traci
Though tense & troubling it may be, I try to look at life this way: God knows exactly where He wants us to placed. In a test. Yet temporary. With testimony.

  6. Cee Gee says:

As soon as I saw today’s verse, I thought of the Danny Gokey song – Love God and Live People (upbeat and energizing)! This us just the last verse:

“Keep on loving, keep on loving
    Love God and love people
So keep on loving, keep on loving
    It’s all about love
It’s how we change the world
    Love God and love people”

ALEIDA- I realized, like RHONDA J, midmorning yesterday that I didn’t think to send up a praise for the safety of all involved in VICTOR’s accident, but I was truly thankful for that when it hit me. The mental and emotional angst of any more serious outcome would have been more devastating than the loss of the car. Insurance companies total cars so quickly nowadays. I KNOW God will bring good from this! Let’s keep lifting Victor to the Waymaker. ❤

SEARCHING – SIO GLAD you got some restful sleep; that’s an answer to prayer, sister! Also glad you were led to some encouraging info! Hugs and prayers! ❤❤
Have a blessed day, sisters! ❤

    1. Margaret W. says:

Pretty much any time the airbags deploy, the car is totaled. It is just too costly/too much liability to replace them. IDK if that was the case in this accident, but they still save lives—a cost which can’t be measured.

      1. Cee Gee says:

        Agree!

  7. Cheryl Blow says:

Love God and love others – this keeps coming up in all of my Bible studies. I know when it does God is speaking to me! Lord, help me to do this as You do!! Not in my own strength but through the power of the Holy Spirit!

Praying for all of you! Searching praying for your pain! Praying for all!

  8. Melissa Richards says:

    Amen

  9. Searching says:

    We believe. Now, let’s love.

Sisters, thank you for your prayers!!!! After a rough day, it popped into my mind (your prayers and God’s love, grace and kindness) last night to research combining 2 of my options for pain. From a well respected site: provide better pain relief when used together than either used alone. I was clueless, God knows all! And altogether I got about 5 hours of sleep!!! I am so thankful!!!!

Joining RHONDA J being thankful that ALEIDA’s son VICTOR was ok from the accident.

Thank you, MERCY, for your prayer yesterday. Mental health challenges have likely affected us all in some way.

    1. Rhonda J. says:

I am sorry you are having so much pain! I am such a solver I want to know what kinda pain you are having? I know you aren’t on our fb..could you email me at rhondafit then gmail so I can see if it is something I have worked with? SO glad you got some sleep. I toss and turn most nights for years with my back and nerve pain in my leg. So I know the frustration.

      1. Rhonda J. says:

I actually tread today because we do our 19 hour drive in the car to go back up north for 2 weeks. My back is not a fan of being stuck in a truck seat. :/

        1. Linda in NC says:

Rhonda, my back hurts in empathy with you just thinking about that long ride! I remember those long rides from Texas to south Florida went my parents lived there and we were in seminary.
I have an appointment on Tuesday with my PA at the pain clinic. Can’t even imagine riding 19 hours with my back pain.
Sweet sister may our Lord ease your pain and give you strength for your trip❤

          1. Rhonda J. says:

Thank you Linda! I certainly appreciate the prayers. It’s not so hard in the passenger seat leaned back but hard to do my 4 hour or so of driving!

        2. Catherine McVey says:

Prayers for safe travel Rhonda! I can’t imagine riding in a car or truck for 19 hours! Have a wonderful trip, once you get there. ❤️

    2. Traci Gendron says:

Thanks to God! I have lower back pain and it can ruin my sleep. BUT I did sleep pretty well last night. Funny how 4-5 consecutive hours makes us happy. I can’t even imagine ever getting 7-8. I usually wake up after only 1.

    3. Gwineth52 says:

Dear Searching…your summary is spot on!
      “We believe. Now, let’s love.”

      1. Cee Gee says:

    4. Catherine McVey says:

So glad you were able to get some sleep Searching. Sending prayers for continued relief of pain. ❤️

  10. Aimee D-R says:

Father let me see others and love thru Your heart and eyes. In Jesus name, Amen

    1. Rhonda J. says:

Right…that certainly changes my attitude. Through Him we can do all things.. (heart!)

  11. Kelly (NEO) says:

Loving God and loving others. The only 2 commandments in the Law of Christ.
    .
    Seems simple enough, right?
    .
By His grace and through His Spirit.
    .
    Praying for your requests, Shes.

  12. Lindsey Bradley says:

Currently at an all night prayer session at my church from 10 p- 6 a. Help us to love you, Lord. Restore yourself as our first love. Help us to love one another as you have loved us.

    1. Searching says:

Amen and Amen. Thank you, Lindsey ❤️, for your prayers and those in your congregation that prayed along side you. So much restoration needed.

    2. Rhonda J. says:

Way to go Lindsey! I love prayer meetings, abiet don’t think I could do one past…7pm. lol

Our church is doing one tomorrow in our lobby because there is a drag queen show in our little town causing lots of controversy. I think God loves to see His people combat satan in a big group of praying people outside their normal gathering times!

    3. Catherine McVey says:

That’s so good Lindsey! I don’t think I could make it that long!
