Lynne, I’m sorry. I meant to type Jack! I was in too much of a hurry to finish before I had to leave for dinner to proof read what I was posting! Please forgive e me.
GramieSue you and Steve are also in my prayers.
What a peace-giving promise of a guide, protection on the journey, and a place prepared just for me. Father God, how can I thank you enough? Just like the Israelites, we all have a promised land just for us, a place flowing with blessings. And to think we don’t have to make the journey alone, we have a guide who protects us. Oh Father, thank you so much for never leaving me to my own devices to figure out how to get to the place You prepared just for me. My own place, my own inheritance, something nobody can ever take away from me. You are so good to me!!!
WOW! Wonderfully said. Richly received. Each She on her way to Bounty. Thanks be to God.
So thankful that we have the Lord to guide us. Praying for all of you.
Good morning sweet and Happy Saturday Sweet SHE’s. Its a GORGEOUS sunny California morning. I “remember” that angel or angels that were sent to me right when I needed. I never new their names or even what they look like. I’ve mentioned this before here with you. The time I was in a grocery store and my now EX husband was calling me on my cell to pick him up from jail and BOY was he ANGRY! Scary ANGRY! And I must of had that “look” in my face. All I remember was dropping to the floor close to the check-out stands trying to input my bank info so that I could take the call. These “angels” put my groceries aside and I continued to take the call. BUT GOD…..my sweet, sweet Jesus saw me through it ALL! TODAY!! on this beautiful (and later HOT) Saturday, we celebrate my daughter Alyssa graduating from High School and she ended WELL. Straight A’s all four years! Family and close friends are coming over to celebrate her! PRAYERS are appreciated as 2 of my SNL’s are coming and I haven’t talked to them in since leaving their brother. However, my children in the past year have reestablished their relationship with their aunties and uncle. AND I appreciate they respect them and their decision as I’ve mentioned neither of my kids have a relationship with their dad right now. BUT Today its about Alyssa! I’m SO proud of her!
That’s wonderful to celebrate Alyssa’s graduation…way to go!! Enjoy sweet mom!
Praying for Alyssa! Wishing her Gods beauty, goodness and truth on her next journey!

Today’s verse is oh-so-appropriate for the times and the world that we are living in today. (Aren’t they all for various reasons, though, right?)
–
He has prepared a place for us and will be with us always… in heaven but also now… nice! That brings so much joy to my heart. Always remember He is with you every moment, sweet She’s!
A Promise of the Lord’s Presence
20 “See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you.
I love the NLT wording! What joy to claim that promise!
LYNNE FROM ALABAMA and LINDA IN NC –
So good to hear from you!!! Continued prayers for you and your families. ❤
Happy weekend, SHES! ❤
Good morning, sweet SRT sisters! I appreciate so much the faithfulness of so many of you to pray for Jack and me. I haven’t commented much lately but I assure you I am here every morning and praying for each of you. I have a list that I pray for by name each day (ongoing requests) and then all new requests including going back to the previous day to see what I may have missed. You are all loved and prayed for!!!
Last week was four months since the oncologist gave us the 4-6 month prognosis. Jack is pretty much the same except I can see that he is declining just a bit. It’s hard going through this without being able to talk to him about it. He is unaware of his cancer or prognosis. It’s hard not to be fearful of what the final days will look like and what the future holds. Pray that I can be strong and that Jack will not suffer.
Praying for you Lynne from Alabama. You are so strong! What a wonderful example you are to all of us of your faithfulness. We will pray you remain STRONG and no suffering for Jack.
You and Jack and what the future holds are always lifted up! ❤️ I can’t imagine what your caregiving looks like each day. Stay strong, my sister!
Praying for you and Jack during this very difficult time. What a strong, Godly woman you are. Bless you. ❤️
Dear Lynn, I just can’t imagine what that looks and feels like. I don’t know if I could even face this as strong and mighty as you are, that is what great faith and testimonies are all about. It must be scary though, and yeah, not to even be able to discuss with him those things. I will keep praying for you and him, and that God is going to work everything out for you in a way that will be mind blowing. What overwhelms us, He will make a way. Big hugs!!
Lynne, I try to lift all my caregiver friends daily. I can understand, to a degree, not being able to talk to Steve as he doesn’t understand. Gene is the same way. We’ll talk about something and the next minute he won’t remember. It’s so hard to see them like this. I’ve said, and had others say, “He’s not the man I married”. In so many ways, he isn’t. Dementia is a thief that slowly steals them away from us.
Many prayers, sweet sister
Linda and Lynne (and others going through this), the Lord gave your spouses the best wife. Your dedication and love shines and I believe that somewhere deep inside your husbands they can feel it. May the Lord provide the strength when you are weary and peace during difficult moments. Hugs and prayers.
I second Donna’s prayer!
GM, Happy Saturday!
I am so thankful for the Lord’s protection. I know He guides us and protects us from so many things that we will never know until we are in heaven one day.
Thank you for praying for my friend Olympia and all the pod m.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
Throughout this study, I’ve noticed that God often promises and reminds Israel of His presence, His protection, and His provision. This verse is another example of that. He knew they were prone to forget. What a kindness to give them these reminders throughout their journey. ❤️
Dear Lynn… I always am encouraged by your comments… I am in daily contact (by text) with a dear friend whose husband is really struggling with depression, and anxiety with his dementia… he refuses to see friends and relatives, and it is very difficult for her to get any time away from him and “being watchful over him… balance, walking unsteady , etc. Still in their home that is too big… not user friendly”
Praying for you and your family and friends this morning, as I pray for our dear friends…
I’ve not heard from my brother in a while. Last we talked her dementia continues to worsen. At this point, there were no specific plans for more surgery. My sister is slowly recovering from her open heart valve replacement. She is in cardiac rehab. Thanks for asking and praying.
In our small class at church, we have 4 families (including us) who are caregivers of spouses dealing with some type of
dementia. These plus others are heavy on my heart! I can’t imagine how a husband
struggles to care for all the details of such a diagnosis!
Love and weekend blessings to each of you precious sister❤
In
Thankful that on this side of the cross, we have God’s presence WITHIN us to guide us.

LINDA IN NC – praying for the Lord to continue to strengthen you as you care for your husband. Any updates on your SIL
Thank you, Kelly. ❤️
Also wanted to share a commentary from Enduring Word that was shared with me about the angel in Exodus 23:20-26. It’s so good!!!

a. I send an Angel before you: This unique angel commanded obedience from Israel and had the right of judgment over the nation. Most of all, the name of God was in this angel (for My name is in Him).
i. We only know a few angels by name, and in a sense, Micha-el and Gabri-el each have the name of God in their name. But neither Michael nor Gabriel commanded this kind of obedience from Israel or presumed to sit in judgment over them. This is the specific Angel of the LORD, Jesus appearing in the Old Testament, before His incarnation in Bethlehem, who often speaks directly as the LORD.
ii. “The Angel (v. 20) was not a created angel but a divine manifestation, the Second Person of the Trinity in angelic form.” (Thomas) “My name is in him seems to translate the ‘messenger’ into the supernatural realm, for God’s ‘name’ is the equivalent of His revealed nature.” (Cole)
iii. My name is in Him: Of course, the name Yahweh is in Jesus. His name is literally Yah-shua. Jesus was with Israel in all their wilderness experience. “This Angel with the authority and
prestige of the name of God was evidence enough that God himself was present in his Son.” (Kaiser)
b. And to bring you into the place which I have prepared: The Angel would go before them into the place which I have prepared. The same principle is true of our life with Jesus today. Not only is it true that Jesus goes before us to prepare a place for us in heaven (John 14:2-3), but the place we walk in today was prepared by God, and where we will walk tomorrow is prepared by Him also.
A happy and blessed Saturday She’s!!
Wanted to share my notes from this week.. since I didn’t get a chance to post this week. I dated each note at the bottom. ❤️
Joshua 1:5-9
*these verses speak and witness very strongly to me!! May I live out what they say!! Amen.

Hebrews 11:13-16
*Wow!! SO MANY examples of people who BY FAITH lived in and out the promises of God whether they saw them fulfilled in their lifetime or not!! They didn’t do this perfectly but they DID do it, and God got the Glory in the end!!! May I, like these people, see, greet and believe with heavenly eyes!! May I desire God and His realm and NOT this earth or anything in it!! Amen.
-27th

Numbers 28 & 29
*May I be a pleasing aroma to and for You Lord!! Amen.

Hebrews 10:1-4
*Jesus came to fulfill the law, but NOT in the way we expected!! All God’s laws are GOOD, just and righteous!! They lead us to God and remind and help us to keep Him first in ALL things!! No blood or sacrifice on earth could purify us once and for all.. so God sent His Holy willing Son Jesus to do this for us!! We just have to be willing to accept, believe and live in the holiness & freedom God provides!!! May we never take His sacrifice or holiness lightly!! Amen.
—
Hebrews 10:9
*my hearts desire is to do Your will and Your will alone!! I am no where near perfect in doing this, but You don’t
require perfection, You want willingness!! So Lord help me be willing from the top of my head to the bottom of feet!! I give it all to You!!! ❤️

Numbers 20:12
*just now realizing that Moses kept faithfully following and obeying God and leading the people, even though he knew he wasn’t going to be able to enter into the promised land!! Now THAT is a testimony!!! May I be like Moses, faithfully following You Lord even though I might not ever see the results You promised!! Amen.

Numbers 31:23
*this verse really stands out to me!! Purified through fire, which is trying & painful and requires patience & precision, but fire filters out and brings all the impurities up to the surface!! Purified through water.. water is one of the most persistent and strongest forces on earth, it gets in and permeates places where nothing else can! Very humbling to be around both of these elements!! Both Fire and Water are symbols of baptism and new life!! They test, cleanse and purify.. they wipe the old away to make a completely new way!! Such a great reminder!!! May we allow ourselves to be put in and cleansed by both fire and water. Amen.

Numbers 31:48-49
*after a war, not ONE missing!! Wow!! Really shows you the faithfulness and protection of God!! May we listen and follow His leading, may we stay under His anointing not moving or doing any more or any less than what He has asked of us!! Amen.
-29th

Psalm 78:1-18
*how easy it is for human nature to forget… I love how these verses remind us of what God has done, and how they encourage us to talk about what He has done and spread that to new generations so we will NOT forget!!! I also LOVE how God reveals to us hidden things!! May we always seek Him out, remember Him and rejoice at ALL He is doing and has done!! Amen.
-29th

Psalm 78:34-43
*amazing how we remember God in the bad times but so often forget Him in the good times!!! Such a great reminder to eagerly seek God in ALL things and at ALL times!!! May we recognize Him, His goodness and His faithfulness daily and ALWAYS!!!
-29th
Numbers 32:11-15
*may I follow and desire You wholeheartedly Lord!!
**another reminder about the consequences of willful sin!! Yikes!!!
-30th

Numbers 33:55-56
*Wow!! What a warning!!! Makes me want to do only and exactly as God has asked!! Disobeying and not respecting have SERIOUS consequences!!!
-30th
—
Exodus 23:1-3
*these are GOOD things to remember this day and age, where perversion, falseness and evil seem to take center stage!! Do NOT follow the crowd or side with people who are perverting the law and God!! Stand up for what and Who you know to be true!!!
**I like that it says NOT to show favoritism to a poor person. I know this seems harsh.. but it is a GOOD reminder that God is a JUST God and He overlooks NO-ONE!!! We need to TRUST HIM to provide, not use our own perverse sense of empathy, compassion or justice!! A much needed reminder for me!!
-30th
—
Exodus 23:7
*love the encouragement/correction to have NOTHING to do with false/evil things!! Such a SOBERING reminder of what the consequences of participating with that type of spirit are!!! Yikes!!! Makes me want to only do and say as God directs. Nothing more, nothing less!
-30th

Exodus 23:20-26
*what REALLY stood out to me in these verses was “My name is IN him”. Wow!!! This gives me goosebumps!!! May we listen, follow and obey God as He prepares the Way!!!

—
Exodus 23:29-30
*Wow!! I love how God says that He’s going to do things little by little.. and NOT all at once!! It reminds me of how IMPORTANT being faithful in the little is!! It also highlights that doing things all at once (which seems easier) isn’t always what’s best.. but in fact it can be devastating and overwhelming!!! Thank You God for doing things in Your timing and Way!!! We would be LOST without You!!!

Numbers 35
*amazing to see the laws and some similarities between the court system God set up and the court system we have now…

Psalm 16:6
*oh! I LOVE this!!! For indeed the Lord has given me well thought out, precise and pleasant boundaries, beyond what I knew/thought I needed!! I rejoice in those boundaries and am SO thankful for them!! Even when I try kicking them down and going my own way!! Haha!! I’m SO thankful that God keeps them there and guides me!!! Such a beautiful thing to have such a personal and intimate relationship with God!! He is my portion!! Such an incredible inheritance!!! Wow!! We are BLESSED!!!

Hebrews 4:6-7
*help our hearts and beings be obedient solely to You Lord!! Let not our hearts be hardened, but let us keep ourselves soft and pliable in Your hands! When we hear Your voice, let us jump up and do as You ask, nothing more and nothing less!! Amen.

Thanks as always for sharing
❤️ sorry it’s so long!!
Oh, Emily! Never apologize for the length of your comments! God has “heightened your ability to “make His Word personal”. I find great encouragement in “His speaking through you and your experiences”. Please keep sharing… especially on Grace Day… your “re-cap” is very helpful! ♥️
Wow. Truly and deeply appreciate your encouragement and insight Carol, SUCH a GIFT you are!! Thank you and God Bless you!!! ❤️
Playing catch-up today and not sure if my musing as to why taking so long to fix the issue with comments will be seen so repeating it here:
It is probably hard for the tech team because there are just comments but few details by people having problems. Are you using the app or the website? What device are you using? Computer or phone? Is your phone android or apple? What browser are you using? God may know all your details, but the tech teams does not.
I would assume these would be best addressed in email that can be sorted out rather than reading through comments (especially if they aren’t seeing them all either!)
Prayers and solutions in the comment are helpful, like the suggestion to select reply to comment and then cancel has helped me at times as well as using Duck Duck Go for browser.
This sounds like spam. Every so often a bot or spammer appears on She Reads Truth and poses as a She. Just giving you ladies a heads up. ♥️
I think so too
(They usually have some weird title as their name like this one…)
Sounds like a good explanation as to why some are having issues and others are not. Personally I am tired of all the comments about the new format and issues with the comments. I know it is frustrating, but I want to read your thoughts on the scripture and the devotion. Maybe directly emailing SRT from the contact options on their website would be more helpful.
Thank you, WEB-IPHONE-FORMERLY SAFARI – all good points as far as information needed by whoever is working to resolve the issues. Most of my problems have been resolved by attempting to “pull/drag” up or down on the comments repeatedly – usually it will “move” and I can see the missing posts. Or CEE GEE’s tip on clicking to reply, clicking in the reply box and then canceling the reply.
I am going to send an angel before you to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.”
I sat up when I read this verse!
OMG!
It took me straight back to the day I was visited by/saw an angel!
Be still my heart!
It is a wonderful thing to be reminded of the faithfulness of God. I would say I don’t need reminding because I remember His goodness to me often, if not daily, but the truth is I remember daily, for sure, His goodness, grace and the wonder of what the Lord has done in my life, as life takes me. There is ALWAYS something to remember, because EVERY SINGLE DAY, God has my back in the little and the large and the in-between.. He blesses me. He Provides for me. He holds me. He forgives me. He teaches me. He realigns my wondering heart. He saves me. He affirms me. He saves me. His grace.. oh, His grace.. His grace..
OMG, He sends me an angel..
I am claiming this verse today and I am keeping it close, for in the words of Maverick City song.. “..If He has said it.. then He will do it..”
All praise and thanks to the Lord, my God..
BUT GOD.
AMEN.
Saturday love coming across the pond, wrapped in hugs, and covered in thanks and prayers for each of you, dear hearts.♥️❤️❤️
Amen, amen, amen! Thank you, sister! ❤️
