@BETH RITCHASON- thank you for posting so we can pray with you! May the Lord give you peace, as you focus on Him in all your decision making. He sees your efforts and He is with you and your husband. May you walk in His authority and do the work He has laid before you. May He bless the work of your hands (Psalm 90:17). God’s will be done ❤️ In Jesus’s name.

@Gayle C & Teresa D – praying peace and comfort to you both as you walk through this challenging time. May your faith increase and God’s love keep your spirit at rest – knowing He has you and is with you wherever this journey takes you. Love to you both ❤️ He sees. He knows.

@Mari – glad your daughter got through that test being sick! And that she can get a cheaper inhaler. Praise God! ❤️

Tami C- prayers for Chela. I pray she would see God’s love and concern for her as she does what He has called her to do. I pray peace over her in her school environment. I pray she remembers her goals and stays the course, knowing God can help her through this one day at a time. I pray this would give her the peace she needs, knowing ultimately, God will see her through if this is what He has called her to. ❤️ God bless her and you, Tami!! May God strengthen you and encourage both you and your husband through the Word and His Church.

@Sarah D- Praying healing over you this holiday season! I pray you drink a lot of fluids and get the rest you need to do your job. God bless you and continue to give you wisdom about that person you were praying about earlier this week. ❤️

@Taylor – not sure you are here but just wanted to say hello and God bless you ❤️

Thank you @Searching ❤️ for posting the info about the comments. I had no idea I was missing so much on the app. If you are posting on the app, it is likely some of us website users will not see your prayer request. I do not pay for the subscription, so I am definitely missing comments. :( that stinks. But may the Lord see any request not responded to and bless the person in need.

God bless every last She. ❤️

Happy Saturday ladies!! Taking this day to rest and relax! I can’t remember the last time I had a Saturday all to myself. Praying for you all today

  14. Missy Csonka says:

God’s grace…that is all I need. All day every day. We are such a richly blessed group of Shes. This Advent study has changed my life even after being a Christian for over 31 years. I have cried so much the past several weeks because the Holy Spirit is working His “magic” in me and for me. It’s amazing to me how when we let Him take over and be the pilot how much better circumstances can be. I am tired of trying to control the whole narrative of my household. My elderly mother has lived with us for almost 7 yrs and it’s been a huge adjustment…but God!❤️

  15. AZ Walker says:

Grateful here this morning with my tea and my cozy robe as I pray for so many of you. Happy to see Janet Caldwell’s praise report and also praying for everyone here, Gayle, Teresa, Lynne and Jack, Grammie Sue and Steve going thru such storms. Also praying for those who may be feeling lonely this holiday season or struggling with worrisome things. May God watch over and protect you and may you feel his presence and peace, Leisha Jack, Christy D, Lehlia Petsch, Tanya Evans, Munchkin, Mandi’s son. As always praying for our loved ones coming to the Lord, and for strength, sound mind for my niece Katie who struggles with staying on the wagon, was laid off and is single mom to a sweet little 9 year old daughter.

  16. Beth Ritchason says:

This is my first post and I’m so encouraged just reading yours! It has been a challenging year. I have begun to feel that my life is not meant to be without trials. Thank you Terri for reminding me that my Father really desires wellness thru out my entire body and SOUL! I would covet your prayers for me and husband and decisions ahead. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads.

  17. Mari V says:

HAPPY SATURDAY Sweet She’s!! I slept a little over 8 hours!! Whoa woo!!! I struggle to get past 7 hours during the week! So I look forward to the weekends! SO grateful for Christ who came and here we all are in a world-wide bible study together digging into God’s Word, praying for one another, holding each other up, encouraging one another. WE are the SHE READS TRUTH sister family or (sisterhood). I wake up each morning looking forward to meeting with you all. I, too like few mentioned here am wanting to write your prayer requests down and be more organized (notebook). I thought of asking my kiddos for a nice note book. After reading what Kelly (NEO) does, I think I’ll do the same THANK YOU for praying for my daughter and her VERY expensive medication inhaler. Her doctor replied and said she could go back to her other inhaler which is $70 verses $300. Meanwhile since this expensive one is a good and strong inhaler she’s going to finish it and resume with the one she was already using. We’re in California and the air quality has been bad. I feel for people like my daughter. AND thankfully Finals are over!!! I think she did pretty well. Being a senior and with her GOOD grades she didn’t have too many Finals! AND since she passed the Government test on Monday (when she was still sick), she didn’t have to take the FINAL. And that’s what she was MOST stressed about. Her grade wasn’t the the greatest, BUT still has an “A” in the class. Thank you sweet She’s for praying for her.

  18. Bethany Selleck says:

Thank you all for these words of encouragement and praises to our Heavenly Father this is medicine for my soul! It has been a week. I couldn’t have gotten through it without leaning on Jesus he has carried me and continues to we are so blessed to be so loved. ❤️

  19. Lynne from Alabama says:

Good morning sweet SRT sisters! Thank you all for your prayers and your insightful comments! I enjoy all the songs that are mentioned and especially the old hymns that bring back many fond memories from growing up in a Southern Baptist Church!

I wish I had time to give a special word of encouragement to each of you and to mention each of you by name but caregiving duties don’t allow that. Please know that I write down each of your requests and pray for you specifically. The needs in this precious community are many and my heart goes out to each one of you. For those of you with prodigal children, may God give you the strength to let go and let Him take care of your children (much easier said than done). For those of you who are dealing with sickness, may God give you His healing and His strength. GAYLE CRAIK and TERESA DONLEY and others who are dealing with an overwhelming diagnosis, may you feel the power of the prayers of all your sisters and the strength and peace that only God can give. Remember that the doctors are not in control of the timeline but God is! ❤️ For those who are dealing with anxiety, job loss, infertility, family problems, financial difficulties and multiple other issues, may you feel the presence of God in a special way. ❤️

To all my fellow caregivers, may God give all of us strength and wisdom to keep on. ❤️

Love to each of you! ❤️

  20. Adrienne says:

My headache has gone away. Thank you for your prayers! I wanted to see my chiropractor/friend, but she couldn’t get me in. Things loosened up in my neck on their own, and the muscles relaxed, and the associated headache was gone. I thanked Hm big time for that!

KELLY (NEO)… I always ask people for names (when they request prayer) because I, too, want to actually pray for someone (versus just saying I will). Ugh. I will have to figure out some sort of notebook situation too.

This is totally unrelated to our Advent readings. I’ve done some research and am coming up empty. Why in John 11:5, why does the Bible say “Now Jesus loved Martha and HER SISTER and Lazarus.” Mary is not mentioned by name at all. Why? God tells us in His word what we “need” to know. So I guess that really isn’t important, BUT GOD, help me “get it”, please!

Praying about your c, GAYLE CRAIK!

And TAMI C, you mentioned your daughter’s anxiety before. I guess she is still really struggling with it. Prayers lifted for her as well.

And (last one… really!), SARAH D… I remember that the beginning of my teaching career had me being sick often. Now I have a pretty good immune system. I guess when littles cough and sneeze in your face, and like to put their fingers in their noses… I wash my hands constantly, and I know that helps. (I am fortunate to have a sink in my classroom, though. I know not everybody does.) Stay well… prayers for you and all the rest of us teachers!

  21. Sarah D. says:

Good morning ladies, praying for you all. Well I woke up today achy and with congestion, I probably won’t be going to the game night tonight haha. I’m disappointed, but trying to think the Lord had a plan for this… I had been healthy for about a month and a half since the last time I was sick this school year (so far I’ve had bronchitis and strep throat and was out sick quite a bit). My first year teaching has been rough on my health and it plays on me mentally, because I can’t manage my class as well as I could if I was feeling well. Please pray that I can kick this soon before Christmas and before our class Christmas party next week. It is really hard. Thank you all, praying for your requests!

  22. Mandi says:

Tami, I am praying. I think I have mentioned before our son is in a similar spot. It IS so exhausting for us as parents. I will pray specifically for finals and an openness to counseling.

  23. Gretchen Stencil says:

This verse!!!! I teach junior high at a Christian school and when this verse was in the living water Devo day I used it for my classroom devotional that day, because our class devos have been learning all about the Old Testament prophecies that told that Jesus was coming. I told my students that this verse shows that the people were waiting for the Messiah because they knew all of these prophecies. Wish I could go back in time to see this moment. This lady had been waiting for her whole life for this! If you have time to watch this entertaining three minute video this elementary boy explains that there’s no way that Jesus could have just accidentally fulfilled all of these prophecies. It had to be God !

  24. Gayle Craik says:

Please pray that I get this timeline for my c out of my head! I know the devil loves seeing me stressing & being sad! Not this life Satan! God fill my cup! I love you all my sisters in Christ. I am visiting my daughter until the new year. Their 2 yr old has her bd party today
& and new grandson is coming Christmas Eve! Happy Saturday She’s.

    1. Catherine McVey says:

@Gayle Craik my heart goes out to you. Are you on Facebook? I would love to connect with you. When I received my Myeloma diagnosis in August it rocked my world. Music has always been a big part of my worship and I immediately created a couple of healing playlists. I listen to them as much as possible, especially when c is all I can think of. I would love to share them with you and hope they would help you as well. I am on Facebook as Catherine McVey. We could also communicate via Messenger. God Bless you! Have a great weekend.

  25. Tami C says:

Good morning ladies. Can I please ask for prayer for my daughter Chela? She started NYU in the fall and has struggled with anxiety all semester but has pushed through. She has finals this week Mon to Wed and is beyond stressed and overwhelmed (pressure she puts on herself- not from me) So prayers for her to get through these exams please and also for her to accept to go to counseling over the winter break. Wisdom for me and my husband. We are weary… thank you and praying for requests as they come up.

  26. Aimee D-R says:

Oh Jesus to be in Your presence.

  27. Laura Amadeo says:

Praises to God for being all I truly need to sustain me throughout my days- bread, water, the perfect sacrifice. May I never take that for granted and continually rest in the knowledge that He did that for me. May I live my life in full recognition of Him and without apathy towards my Savior’s gift. Praise God for all His goodness, mercy and grace.

  28. Cee Gee says:

John 24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

25 The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”

Verse of the day – Biblegateway:

    Luke 1:46

    Mary responded,

“Oh, how my soul praises the Lord.

47 How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior! …
49 For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me.

SEARCHING – Continued prayers! May God reveal Himself in a mighty way in this situation and may He be glorified. ❤

A WALTON – Praying health returns soon and no one else gets sick so you will have the opportunity to visit more with your family. ❤

Praying for each SHE and the prayer/s on each heart. ❤

  29. A Walton says:

Our travels around the states are slowing down. A few more places to go. Staying at my parent’s home for now until Tuesday. My one year old twins have come down with congestion and vomiting bug. They gave it to my mom and dad. Hoping my other 3 boys don’t get it. My sister and her family are visiting, just arrived yesterday. Please pray her family doesn’t catch it. We have a flight on Tuesday and I would love if everyone was healed by then.

My girls being sick is no huge deal, but at the same time is a huge deal to me. I am missing out on visiting and connecting with my other brothers and sisters because my girls are sick. I live in Ireland and don’t usually get to be here like this, and now I feel stuck at my parent’s house (which, I love my parents too, so it’s not all bad). I wasn’t able to sleep well last night due to my nerves. Anyway, I would appreciate prayers.

Also, my dad is having huge problems with his knee and couldn’t walk last night. It was terrible seeing him in pain.

My husband has been away for the last week, flying around to different places, visiting churches. We haven’t always been able to talk (relying on Wi-Fi while we are here). He will arrive here on Monday in time to fly out to his parent’s with us on Tuesday.

Thanks for praying. I always find kindness and understanding in this group. Thank you.

TERESA DONELY- any update about Aliya’s citizenship?

    1. Teresa Donley says:

A WALTON – thank you for remembering Aliya’s citizenship issues. There is nothing new on it right now. Her parents have been working on it for a few years now, and I know they are doing everything they can. Thank you for continuing to pray for this situation.

  30. Melanie says:

Please pray for me. I have been sick all week. Thank you sisters

  31. Kelly (NEO) says:

“When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Maybe when He comes again, or when we are in His presence we will not care? I think of Job and his requests (demands) for explanations that went unanswered, but all desolved in the presence of the Almighty. Trusting that God is good despite how we feel about our situation takes great faith (at least for me).

    JANET CALDWELL – woo-hoo❣️

MARTHA HIX – sorry you missed your granddaughter’s performance. Hopefully when you see them next she can give you a private show. Praying for clear lungs.

LAURA DIANNE – may the conversation with your son be the first step of many on his journey back to Jesus. Praying you and your husband continue to live faithfull lives in front of him, love him. And let the Holy Spirit do the rest.

ADRIENNE – don’t be too impressed. I have a notebook divided into different topics of prayer requests. When I see one in the comments, I write it down with the date of the request. But that’s just me. I was convicted a while ago to not just say I’ll pray but to do it and that is the way I hold myself accountable. Praying you are headache free today.

SHARON JONES – it is heartbreaking how often children suffer at the hands of those who are supposed to cate for and protect them. Will lift up the two little ones you mentioned. May the Lord protect their hearts in their situation. Is the adoption for the little one you mentioned a while ago moving forward?

SHANEL ROSE – are you hanging in there with us? You can do it❣️

CHERRIE BREWER – are you still with us? God loves you more than you can imagine❣️

SEARCHING – same for me when I started this morning the count said 1 but nothing on the screen. Continued prayers for your friend’s daughter. Don’t know what device you use to access, but another way to record requests (I do this when traveling) is to take a sceeen shot of the comment. Then copy it to a Word document as a digital journal (I add to my notebook when back home).

  32. Searching says:

Someone asked this week (sorry, forgot to note who) why we can’t see all the comments. I asked about this, maybe last year, and thought it was being worked on. On the website this morning when I started studying (around 5:30 ET), the comment count showing was 1 – but there were none showing. At that time, the app had 4. Would love for the comments to be synced between the 2. For instance, website shows I think 47 comments yesterday, app shows 64. I subscribe to the digital version of the books – they are awesome (and access to app plans is included with my subscription) – but for comments and research I prefer the website. Sorry for the rambling.

JANET CALDWELL – great news about your brother’s coverage!
MARTHA HIX – praying for healing, I know missing the performance was disappointing. Is video available?
SARAH D – Praying for wisdom and guidance! agree with CEE GEE ❤️ on naturally evolving relationships. My own relationship with my husband (30+ years) began when I wasn’t looking for one or even thinking about getting involved with anyone.
LAURA DIANNE – praying for your son to realize the truth of God’s love for him, and his need for salvation. I’ve been there – I rejected everything I had been taught for years. I look back and think of all the heartache and problems I caused and went through by digging in my heels and doubling down on the rejection. So thankful the Lord never quit pursuing me!

ADRIENNE -praying for healing of that headache! I have to defer to the awesome KELLY (NEO) for keeping up with things! As I said above, I use the digital books. I don’t make notes there, but have a notebook and lots of paper scraps. Hopeful that I can get more organized for 2024.

SHARON JONES – praying for the little boys

Requesting continued prayer for friend’s daughter’s health, and her medical team.

    1. Victoria E says:

      Searching- praying for your daughter

  33. Earnestine Benford says:

    Amen and thank you
