Grace Day

Open Your Bible

Psalm 32:8-11

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

Each Saturday we have turned from the tragedy of Judges to the hope of the gospel in Psalm 32, a psalm about joy and forgiveness.

I will instruct you and show you the way to go;
with my eye on you, I will give counsel.
Do not be like a horse or mule,
without understanding,
that must be controlled with bit and bridle
or else it will not come near you.

Many pains come to the wicked,
but the one who trusts in the LORD
will have faithful love surrounding him.
Be glad in the LORD and rejoice,
you righteous ones;
shout for joy,
all you upright in heart.
—Psalm 32:8–11

Thank you RHONDA J! Your study sounds wonderful.

I took miss Churchmouse, Jennifer loves Jesus, and so many others.

Thank you all for your prayers. My week hasn’t been too bad.

  2. Rhonda J. says:

@Cee Goo- hope you are feeling better

@Molly R- praying for you to feel better, you have a full plate with your kiddos and schooling and the farm, I’m sure not feeling 100% makes all the rest hard!! (I only had 1 child and it was draining! lol)

@Teresa glad the procedure went well! I remember having one and hoping that dreaded headache would not hit! Rest today, and lots of water. We pray only good results. I must have missed what Ruby E put, but sounds uplifting.

Mari V- 45! I would freeze…as a matter of fact I am going to Atlanta next week and I am going to freeze! I was sweating this morning at Panera with my group, it was humid 88! I love hot, but we were sweaty hot! I know you love warm and sunshine as much as me!

Traci- Hope you are doing okay in the hard season! hugs always!

My small group “Free of Me” has been so good! We talked about our friendships today, and how we make them about ourselves! How rejection and loneliness can shape our self-worth. How Jesus too suffered rejection and loneliness. He also was a friend to all, even the rejected and castouts. YOU ALL our wonderful Christian friends that pray for each other, build each other up, correct in love, and keep Jesus at the center of our relationships!! What a wonderful group of She’s! Now and through the years! Hopefully Churchmouse, Dorthy, JenniferlovesJesus, Heidi, Angie, and others will come back for next study or advent!

Thank you to all of you who are praying for me. The spinal tap went as well as it could yesterday, and I felt your prayers and God’s presence. I feel so blessed to be part of this community who prays for one another and shares insight into the Word of God.
I’m still lying still in bed today, and praying I don’t get spinal headaches.
I pray for all of your requests as I read them. God works among our group, answering prayers and lifting spirits.

  4. Teresa Donley says:

RUBY E. – thank you so much for the story of your mother’s battle with dementia. It gives me peace and hope to hear that she still remembered hymns and her relationship with God. It’s also wonderful to hear that she knew you were hers, even if she didn’t remember your names. Your story reminded me that as a chaplain, I had several Alzheimer’s patients who were mostly nonverbal who would sing along when I sang some of the old hymns to them. You brought peace to my troubled heart by sharing your mother’s story.

  5. Caroline Bridges says:

    Yes it’s Saturday

  6. MARTHA HIX says:

Good morning She’s… I’m so thankful for refreshment of these words!
    Praying for your requests. ❤️

  7. Molly R says:

Good Morning, Friends! Thankful to be done with the darkness of Judges (just finishing up today), but also thankful to have sat in it and to take it with me in the coming weeks as we celebrate Thanksgiving and Advent.

I would love some prayers today – this “little” cold I have been battling all week seems to have hit another level and I am struggling today. Would love to get some good rest and some forward progress in health as we prepare for another busy week. Praying for the many requests, especially Teresea and Cee Gee. Have a great weekend, She’s!

Happy Saturday sweet She’s! 45° this morning. Not too cold but cold enough. Going for a long walk with my sweet friend here soon. Verse 8 stood out to me as soon as I read it. I’ve had a lot on my mind and when I read it, I could just sigh knowing that my Father God has me. He will instruct me and teach me and counsel me with His loving eyes.
