Grace Day

Open Your Bible

1 John 5:14-15

Take this day to catch up on your reading, pray, and rest in the presence of the Lord.

This is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked of him.
—1 John 5:14–15

Praise God for the confidence we have when we know, when we know…. Knowledge in God will give us confidence. May we be enriched with faith in Jesus and knowledge about Him daily that our confidence is built up in prayers.
@TAMI C: praying for your dear daughter Chela, may God bless her with kind new friends in college to support and influence her to the right direction. And for your mama heart in this transition. My parents saw me off at the airport in Vietnam when they sent me off to university in Canada (years ago). My younger brother later told me that mom cried for a whole day after. It is surely an emotional time. Prayers for you.
@MARI V: God is so good and …well done Mari! Enjoy your vacay/house sitting time.
@RHONDA: definitely grab a soft pillow to cushion your back and favorite snacks for such long drive. Praying for your husband to have energy after his long shift, and for you both to have comfort, nice sight seeing and joy on your ride.

What a great verse! I would appreciate some prayers as we move our daughter into college today!! Her name is Chela. We are all anxious but I’m holding it together for her:) Please pray for a smooth first week and that she connects with some nice people. Thanks ladies. Praying for requests!

HAPPY Saturday and GOOD Morning Sweet She’s. I’ve been here this week, however, I’ve been housesitting my best friends home, so not a whole lot of time to comment. This has been like a little vacation for my daughter and I. This morning’s verse, is so heartfelt knowing that anytime and anyplace, wherever we are at, we can approach the Throne! Even when we don’t feel like it, or are having some hard times, especially when we’re having hard times, we can approach the throne knowing that HE, our FATHER God hears us. I can’t begin to tell you, countless times when I’ve had to say a “quick prayer” when I found myself in the middle of life situations where I needed an answer. And sometimes we may not get exactly what we want, but HE gives us exactly what we need. And HIS way is always best. Even when we don’t realize it at the moment.

Thank you are sweet She’s who have been praying for me in my new position. This week, and I know this is all God, I was given an opportunity to prove myself. I had to take a deep breath, and have confidence in myself, because I know that my Father God goes before me. The teacher that I am a paraprofessional for ended up unexpectedly sick. A young and new sub had to come in for the rest of the week. I’m going say it again, this was all God, and HE gets all the glory! I was able to come alongside this young lady and take some lead to help us run a successful AM and PM kindergarten class! My heart was so filled with joy, knowing that God gave me the strength and ability to do this. We got along great, and we had a successful week, even with some challenges with some other students. Plus, it really helped that the teacher was in contact with both of us by text messaging and guiding us. The teacher also text me some very encouraging words to me.
MY HEART!!! God is so good! i’ll be praying for all of you, and y’all have a wonderful weekend. Thank you again for praying for me.

  14. Cheryl Blow says:

So thankful for the confidence we have in our Lord! “Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.””
    ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When we don’t know what to do, pray and keep our eyes on Him!

  15. Ceegee says:

    Great encouragement in this verse!!!

LINDA in NC- That’s a relief! I told my husband yesterday that I wished we could help! CLEMSON HOME GAMES! We live near Clemson and we know when to stay home! Hahaha

RHONDA J – my back hurts just thinking of that! Praying for safety and for a blessed family visit.

MICHELLE – Gotta love those ‘seen’ (and heard) moments!

SHARON JERSEY GIRL – Praying God brings answers for Adrian!

MARGARET W – Prayers for you and your kids as you make sense of the loss and adjust. It is a difficult thing! So sorry.

KRISTINE LOUGHMAN – Hope you got a little sleep and have a great day!

SEARCHING – Thanks for sharing ‘today can be different’ recently. I love how she applied her encouragement to her own marriage!

  16. Taylor says:

@Michelle Patire catching up on my readings and saw your comment on Day 11. I appreciate your encouragement :) I am definitely trying to surrender this season and navigate what that surrender looks like. I have grown so much in my singleness feeling comfortable with “being alone” for the first time in a long time. Praying for all us single ladies to “let go and let God” and pray in His mercy, will, and perfecting timing that He grants us the desires of our hearts <3

  17. Kay And says:

    Amen

  18. Linda in NC says:

Good morning! Please be safe in all this heat. Again. I’m so thankful for all the prayers. Cee Gee, my son & DIL are working with us on this. They’ve wanting to get the move accomplished quickly even if it means missing Clemson home football games! Hahaha Super sweet! Hopeful grandson & wife can help. They’ve in middle of building a house tho. God is in the midst of all the details! Blessings for a good weekend to each She and continued prayers for each request.

  19. Sharon Smith says:

    Amen Amen & Amen

  20. Rhonda Johnson says:

Good Morning! Happy for Saturday and our trip back home begins this afternoon! It is a 19 drive, that we drive straight through, so prayers for safety are appreciated! My hubs is working his usual 10 hr. shift, then we will go! My only problem is my back really gets knotted and throbbing from sitting that long! We have a new truck (that I’ve not even been in yet more than a 5 min neighborhood ride!), so I’m hoping the seats will be decent! It has back seats to lay down so I should be good.

Thankful that God goes with us everywhere, through every detail in our life. He is our shield, our shelter, a place to lay our head, and take a deep breath as Kelly said! We must be self-assured and confident, walking with a zealousness, after-all the Almighty God is FOR me! He loves me, and wants me to be joyful! It is hard to motivate myself sometimes for sure, but my God lifts me and carries me when I can’t carry myself.
Proverbs 16:20 Those who listen to instructions will prosper, Those who trust the Lord will by joyful.

  22. Michelle Patire says:

Sharon, JG- you were right the other day – what your sister is going through is a lot like what I am going through … But also a little different. Sometimes, God does allow us to suffer injustice… And as someone told me the other day … We can drive ourselves crazy asking “why?” & trying to figure it all out. I don’t know if your sister will have the justice she deserves on Earth, but I do pray for His miraculous deliverance and provision, as I am believing it got myself, too! May she not lose heart and not grow weary in doing good, yet be honest with her emotions before God as she tries to navigate the position He has her in. May He bring encouragement to her spirit and show her that He is trustworthy, even when He lets things get bad. I pray that over myself. May she keep pushing through and trusting Him, despite the lies and target of the enemy- may no weapon of unbelief prosper. May Adrian hold tight to her faith.

Thank you for continued prayers, ladies :) I appreciate you. God did use someone to encourage me yesterday and help me feel a bit “seen.” I met another young woman who is 28, living with her mom, and has been waiting on God for marriage. She’s never even dated – even though she was a beautiful dancer who lived in NYC for a few years. How she escaped temptation is a miracle to me. I lived in NYC as well and know how insane it can be for someone in the arts. It was such a blessing to me. She told me her sister is my age and also waiting on the Lord for marriage and living with their mom. God is so good to show me I’m not alone :)

  23. Kelly (NEO) says:

MARIE ROZE – praying you would gain a deep sense of Jesus’ presence in your suffering and that your faith would increase to trust His promise that He is with you and for you.

RUTH LONG – praying that you can walk in forgiveness for the the hurtful words and you can release the painful memories to the Lord.

And we have this truth and encouragement earlier in 1 John 5, vs 4 & 5:
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? NKJV

Looking back and praying through this week’s requests, and reading again through the insights and testimonies shared. What a great, Jesus-loving group of sisters!❤️

SHARON JERSEY GIRL – praying for Arian’s job search, wisdom and guidance. Also for financial provision in the way He knows is best. Praying for family members to realize the sacrifices she made over the years, and the gift that it was to them. I’ve seen this mindset in families before – when someone steps up to fill a need, it’s appreciated at first, then expected, then taken for granted, then considered that someone’s sole responsibility. I have never understood it – praying! ❤️
