  4. Mercy says:

Praying for you dear sisters. May the Lord be with you to give you grace and strength to face any life trials.

For in the day of trouble He will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tabernacle He will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock (Psalm 27:5).

He will feed His flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in His arm, and carry them in His bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young(Isaiah 40:11).

I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1).

God can do so much, in so many ways, in ways you least expect it, and when you least expect it. I can’t believe how God is working in my life right now. I’m getting ready to help my sister move from a four bedroom split level large I don’t know how many square feet house to a three bedroom ranch 800 square feet house. I’ve been trying to get people to help my son with the move and my “normal go to” people are busy. I’m having to reach out to people I haven’t talked with in a long time, some of them friends of my dead son. Then yesterday I had car problems. My sister isn’t remembering half of what we discuss. And my sister is still set on having a place where her son can come back to if he needs to. The relationship between my sister and my nephew is a toxic one and I believe it always will be even when he’s on medication. Sorry for sound off to you sisters but I feel this is a safe place I can let my feelings be known.

Be blessed and know GOD LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY.

Taylor, I’m sorry to hear that your coversation did not go well. Praying peace for you.

Searching- Thank you for checking in. My family is okay; they had a lot of debris, but no damage to themselves or their homes. Very thankful for your prayers.

I am throwing up another request for myself. I am at a business conference right now, and they allowed us yesterday 30 seconds to pitch our businesses to be entered into the final competition today. Y’all, I got picked! Today I am pitching my business to investors for capital (cash) and can use all the prayer. Thank you SHe’s and have a wonderful Saturday.

Taylor, From the “ outside, looking in”, it seems like you have so many wonderful attributes… education, athleticism, and a humble spirit, to name a few…. I’m praying that you would see yourself as God sees you, a “Much loved daughter” who He loves serving through… Lifting you to Jesus right now!!

I love the quote that was given in the study book!

“Have you not yet considered of what a grievous weight sin is?” — Saint Anselm

In Sunday school last year, we taught the children in our church that sin is when we think, speak, or behave in any way that goes against God and His commands.

This past month, we have been teaching them about idolatry and worship. We have taught them that idolatry is a sin of the heart in which we love and value something else above God. We teach them that worship is when we focus on and celebrate God and His ways.

This past Sunday, the pastor at our church preached on Psalm 117 and reminded us of the obligation that we all have to worship God. I have been meditating a lot this week on Biblical themes. On Sunday, our pastor mentioned that (depending on your translation) Psalm 117 is the central chapter in the Bible. This chapter is only two verses long and speaks about how everyone and everything is to praise the Lord. Along those lines, I have also heard that the verse that is in the physical middle of the Bible (depending on your translation) is Psalm 118:8, “It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.” This week’s SRT podcast on Leviticus that mentioned that the central theme of the Pentateuch (Torah) being atonement because Leviticus is the central book of the Pentateuch and the chapter about the Day of Atonement is the central chapter in Leviticus. What great truth upon which to meditate! I am to praise God because He made atonement for my sin and I can take refuge in Him! Help me to remember this, Lord!

If you would like to hear my pastor’s sermon, you can find it by looking up “A Hope in Christ Praise the Lord (Psalm 117)”. The podcast our church produces for our pastors’ sermons is called “A Hope in Christ”.

If you have not heard this week’s SRT podcast, I urge you to do so by looking up “She Reads Truth podcast Leviticus Week 1”.

As we have been dwelling on God’s holiness and our sinfulness, I pray that your rest & worship in the Lord will be full sweetness & depth.
