Text: Romans 11:6
Grace days are for catching up and being still. As we read about the life of Moses in Scripture, let’s pause to meditate on the sufficiency of Jesus Christ as beautifully reflected in the hymn “Rock of Ages.”
Read, hum, or sing the words of the second verse of this old hymn, and rest in the saving grace of Christ’s atonement.
Not the labors of my hands
can fulfill thy law’s demands;
could my zeal no respite know,
could my tears forever flow,
all for sin could not atone;
thou must save, and thou alone.
from “Rock of Ages”

Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

I’ll be honest. Grace has always been a hard concept for me to grasp. I don’t really know why, probably something to do with my traumatic childhood, but it is really hard for me to understand the idea that I dont have to do anything to earn Gods forgiveness. Sometimes I feel like if I just do all these things or make sure I don’t make Him angry that we’ll be good. And I know in my mind that’s not how this grace thing works, but to make a heart change is a different story

Sometimes the best way to learn grace is to give it :) When we give grace, realizing how extremely difficult it is, we finally understand the grace of God a little more, and we become more thankful for it!
