Searching, I have been reading and checking in on the Shes but I do not like this format at all. The commentary of the writers encourages thoughts and expansion. Honestly I have done Exodus and frankly not sure I can again. But, I will be checking in.

Happy Grace Day everyone! I’m praying for everyone to have a safe and restful weekend, and to those who live in the States, enjoy the long 4th of July weekend!

  19. Rhonda J. says:

I can imagine that Traci, you were kinda prepared and bracing yourself all these years, but now that horrible time came and you are left to keep going. It pains my heart, not much could be worse than losing a child. We will just keep praying that the memories and love make you smile and fill you with warmth more than the heartache at other times. Hugs.

Thank you Jennifer for your kind words. I sometimes feel like I comment too much or not in a way “that sounds good” like I’m sure others do, but then if we all felt like that we would have no comments to read!

Good to hear from you Lynn, we will be praying for your husband when he goes in for surgery!

  20. Donna Wolcott says:

So sorry Traci, I can only imagine. Sending

  21. Traci Gendron says:

I was catching up with yesterdays reading. I need to encourage myself more so that I become so rooted in His word that I can become encouragement to others.

I’m struggling at times lately with missing my son more and more. I really was just numb at first. I think I may have some harder days ahead of me.

  22. Donna Wolcott says:

Prayers and blessings on each of you commenting or just reading. May you experience the Lord’s peace ️ this weekend. Miss you churchmouse.

  23. Jennifer Loves Jesus says:

Good morning She’s!! Was reading through the comments and you all are too sweet! I’ve missed you all! I’ve been doing the Bible Recap more recently instead of SRT, as I’ve been wanting to go through the Bible in a year again. I’ll try to pop in some more to catch up with you all. I’ve been doing well…work has been good, I feel like I’m getting better and can answer questions more easily. Prayers appreciated as I think about whether to apply for a preschool teaching job and look into other jobs…it may be lower pay, but I’m going to see if they can match my current pay that I have (they are both connected with Liberty university). We’ll see. It will be in a year in August since I’ve been at this current job, crazy! God is faithful though and I’m thankful for his consistency in my life!! He never changes and is always with me. Love you all! Have a happy Fourth of July weekend.

  27. Tierney Farry Gonnello says:

    Amen!

  28. Lynne from Alabama says:

Good morning, She’s! I am here every morning and I really appreciate those of you who have checked on me! My hubby is scheduled to have his colostomy reversal on July 18th. This is a 3-6 hour surgery. I ask your prayers for a successful surgery, dear friends! I love each and every one of you and pray for all of you daily!

  29. Rhonda J. says:

Hello She’s Happy Saturday! Hope you all have a beautiful wkd!

@Michelle I wanted to piggyback on your comment to Lexi about being brave to open your own business and that God will lead! It is so true, and I for sure can testify to that!! I said a bit to that point the other day, but being a Saturday I thought I could expound a little more on my GOD experience! Because I for sure NEVER thought of myself as a business owner but doing things my own way, yes! I was newly divorced (and devastated from that) and renewing my relationship with God and putting my hope and future in his leading. At that time I was a personal trainer in a gym a mere 3 to 4 hours a day due to having a 3.5 son. But I knew I had to come up with something better than a “gym trainer” to have a career to support myself. I had always been led to help people in the fitness world. I ended up having major spine surgery a couple of years after my divorce when my son was 4. (which is a whole separate God story!) But before that I kept trying to figure out where my career was going to go by checking out PT programs which didn’t work out timewise, and other paths. But I had passed a little building every day that I had always had a nudging in my spirit. After my surgery (Sept), barely able to walk, it became “for Rent.” Talking with my physical therapist (who was a christian and played christian music) encouraged me to listen to God and he would direct me! Well, I ended up getting that building in Dec to make into a private training studio named One on One Fitness. I had never been a business owner in my life but I had a passion for my product and God would blow that out of the water considering I could still barely move let alone be a model for fitness. But I had clients that said sign them up, and just sit there and tell them what to do!! Can you imagine? Looking back it is so funny! But God made it happen, and I played my worship music throughout the day and it grew. I had a loving neighbor that cared for my son when needed after school and he also had a perfect little small in my office to watch videos or play with other clients’ kids. I saw God’s hand through it all, maybe not at the time, but even now writing this I’m in awe. Was it easy, not by a long shot, sometimes yes, others times working long hours was not what I signed up for. And I all the sudden had roles I didn’t want in office work, advertising, laundry, yard upkeep, boss, and you name it, but it all gave a sense of success and proudness. So point being..YOU CAN DO IT! Lean on God and let him work

SEARCHING ❤ if I had waited one more minute I could have just said ” ya, what she said” :-)

  31. Kelly (NEO) says:

    Good morning❣

MERCY – loved what you had to say yesterday. And I agree that some of the “discussion” questions seem unrelated, but under it the SRT encourages us to reflect on the Scriptures, so they are wanting us to run with what Holy Spirit is prompting in us.

ERB, ANGIE, SARA D, SKY HILTON, VICTORIA E – miss “seeing” you

DOROTHY – praying Jake gets the help he needs to bring balance in his struggles. Praying for Carol, Andrew & Danaile.

RENEE K – did your son obtain readmission into the school? Is this Joe or a different son?

RACHEL HAUSSLER – how is yoir sister doing?

SANDI STANLEY, GRAMSIESUE, CATHY KRAUSE, LYNN FROM AL – how are your husbands doing?

AMANDA NOBLE – praying you have found a new place to live.

CLAIRE B – how is your brother?

  32. Searching says:

Continuing on a subject mentioned several times yesterday (and that I mentioned early on in this study), I was initially put off by the format of this study … Designed to make me think more and dig a little deeper into the Word and more importantly, myself. I gave some thought to bailing and doing a different study but felt that I should give it a try. Still here, and I think we have maybe 10 days to go. I’m on the fence to some extent as I often have difficulty relating to the daily devotions (I’m older, never able to have children (though I spend time when possible with grand nieces/nephews)). He Reads Truth has been a good companion devo on many of those days. In this study I have enjoyed the variety of Scripture readings each day, all pointing to a central theme for the day – reminding us that God’s word is indeed woven together like a tapestry masterpiece. So as with many things in life, I’m here every day even the days that don’t resonate immediately with me personally. Maybe there’s something on those days that I will be led to share with someone in the future or the message for me will sink in later. Regardless, all of God’s word is good and I’m thankful to be able to read it freely and to study daily with my SRT sisters.

DOROTHY – praying for your family

Missing ERB, SARAH D, FOSTER MAMA, ANGIE, LYNNE FROM AL, TINA and others ❤️

  33. Michelle Patire says:

Good morning! Just catching up on yesterday’s devo. I spent my Sabbath creatively with the Lord instead of routine study– though I made sure to catch up today!!!

@Lexi B — I am thankful for your post yesterday. I have such a heart for small business owners. I believe God might bring me to a place of being one, one day. So I like to learn from those who are working as one, right now. God bless your obedience. I was just thinking — it is such an investment of faith to open a business. It really takes reliance on God because there’s usually not much security in it. Especially the first year. I’m so proud of you for choosing faith and trusting God. He will continue to do abundantly more than you can ask or imagine. I am believing that for you!!

God bless you Shes— enjoy the holiday weekend and stay near to God, my USA friends. God bless those in other places, too :)

  34. Kelly Salguero says:

    Amen

  35. Danielle B says:

Good morning She’s! May God bless you richly this grace day!
