Day 14

Grace Day

Numbers 24:17

BY She Reads Truth

Advent is a season to celebrate and contemplate. We rejoice that our Savior has come to us! We also seek unhurried moments of quiet to reflect on His wondrous light and the promise of His future return. Take time today to pause from the busyness of the season to catch up on your reading, make space for prayer, and rest in God’s presence.

I see him, but not now;
I perceive him, but not near.
A star will come from Jacob,
and a scepter will arise from Israel.
–Numbers 24:17

    Sweet Jesus, we praise You for being our sovereign King. You are the Lifter of our heads and Healer of our hearts. You are Prince of Peace. King of kings. Lord of lords. Creator of all. We lift up to You all those affected by the recent tornadoes and storms in Kentucky Texas and elsewhere. God only You can comfort those affected. We ask that You wrap Your loving arms around them. Give them Your peace. Provide shelter, food, new homes, new cars. Send Christians their way to be Your hands abd feet and love on them in the power of Your Holy Spirit. Bring physical healing and spiritual healing. Mental and emotional healing. Bind up broken hearts. Grant an oil of joy instead of a spirit of despair. We trust You to work even these sad stories for good. In Your sweet name we pray. Amen.
