  2. Paula Strong says:

This verse is so beautiful. We should love all people. I teach ESL and I think about this verse often. I love each person from each country. They are all our neighbors. Sweet children.

Blessings upon each of you! I would love prayer as well. I was diagnosed with PTSD 2 years ago and it’s been a tough, uphill battle ever since. Praying for a deep trust in His goodness and timing(Maura, I love your prayer) and for contentment at every stage of the journey. Thank you, sisters!

  7. Mercy says:

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Since God is Love, if you replace the word “God” in the place of the word “love” in the verses above, you will see the heart of God towards us. May this give you strength to abide in Love/God with all your heart, mind and strength. We love for He first loves us.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

Have a blessed weekend my dearly beloved SRT sisters.

Good Morning! If anyone has the YouVersion Bible app, please take the time to listen to the devotional and read the devotional by hitting Open Story above the verse. The verse is “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
The following parts of the devotional talk about how are thoughts are so important and the battle is in the mind. This is something I have struggled with.I have been tormented and disturbed for years. Thankfully, God is helping me. I see the patterns and lies. We are told in 2 Corinthians 10:15 to “ demolish strongholds and every pretension that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ! May we be delivered and set free! May our thought,s, what we meditate on, our words and actions be pleasing to Him! Amen. May we focus on life giving things. There is a good analogy about a vulture and a hummingbird. They both got what they were seeking. Of count he vultures was decay and earth and the hummingbird was beauty, sweetness, and life Our thoughts matter! I am thankful for this Bible app. Hope you check this out.

Mari, that sounds wonderful! Praying for a special time of fellowship. I remember my high school youth group and leaders (the wife’s name was actually Mari!). That group really established a foundation for me in my Christian walk.

  13. Mari V says:

Good morning sweet SRT sisters. I’m off to a not so long run because I have something even more fun this morning. Please pray as we gather with all the high school girls from our youth group. A time of fellowship, Coffee, cinnamon rolls and quiche LOL. I’m looking forward to it. And I’m so glad that my daughter is one of those teenage girls.

  14. KJ Johnson says:

Tina and Karrie thanks for sharing your journey. I think this study of Joshua has been so helpful as we all are in a fight in some way now. Life has been hard and I felt so lost for a big part of last year and really struggled until God led me to SRT via TSF it led me to a reset in my spiritual life. I love how Tina said God found her-I picture the shepherd searching for the little lost sheep-I realize that’s how I felt too! I want to keep learning and growing and look forward to Mark and Easter and mostly eternity with my Shepherd!✝️

  15. Mari V says:

Karrie, I’m praying for you right now.

  16. Maura says:

Will be praying for you Karrie, His peace and love. Indeed He meets us in the depths, the sorrows and does not leave, but fights for us. Know you are loved beyond measure by the Most High. Hugs to your heart!

  17. Maura says:

My prayer this day is that my love for you Lord not falter, that my whole being heart, mind and soul will love you Lord as you deserve with a listening ear, obedience in action and trust in your goodness and faithfulness. That I will always remember the love you have protected me with, led me with, carried me in and filled me with. So thankful Lord God. Blessings and hugs to you my Sisters. May your weekend be full of our Jesus. Colorado was supposed to start having snow last night and have a weekend full of it, 3 to 5 feet. But, so far nothing. Now I am seeing 1 to 2 feet. We shall see.

  18. Karrie says:

The past year has been one of my lowest years. Going thru an unexpected divorce, moving out of our family home and not working due to covid. But God has helped me get through this difficult time. I used the 5 months I was off work to develop a stronger relationship with God. He has given me hope and strength to get through each day. There were many many times I wanted to give up and still struggle but Gods strength has gotten me through each day. I pray for continued strength, guidance and I pray that God can help me find joy again. Thanks to all the ladies who comment on here daily. It helps me to understand the word when I am struggling to see the message. ❤️

  19. Jana McClure says:

Every success stems from loving Him!

  20. Tina says:

My heart has learnt to be still, afterall, it stood still for a long time, some time ago. To be honest everything stood still. I was functioning, but just.. I was doing, but there was no feeling..
    Until..

    But God.

He came and found me, held me, showed me HOPE, graced me, saw me, led me..
He believed and still does believe in me..

So, if I have to be still and know, if I have to love God who, not only saved me, but loved me back to a place of hope and joy,if with all my heart, mind and soul, I have to love God..

    Then…

    So be it.

    Amen..

Happy Saturday wrapped in love, hope and hugs..x❤

  21. Suzan Ledford says:

    Amen, presence over perfection!

  22. Churchmouse says:

The Lord deserves nothing less than my all. Yet he doesn’t expect perfection. He desires relationship, knowing it will be messy at times. He just wants us to keep coming back, sitting with Him, having conversation. This might just be a good weekend to do a little more of that.

  23. Barbara Mueller says:

I am so excited to have found SHE READS TRUTH, and join other men and women all over the world who seek to read Truth, memorize it and commit to live our lives by it! It has proven in my life to be dependable and reliable over YEARS. The more I learn it, the more exciting life becomes. As I commit to following the “narrow way” rather than succumbing to every whim or false pretext I encounter, the principles in God’s Word are proven TRUE as I test them. Try it with me! You can’t go wrong! ❤️
    You are my shelter and my shield;
I put my hope in your word.
    —Psalm 119:114
