He will bring my son back to me. Lord keep my son safe. Let him know he is loved. Heal his mind and his heart. Send a kind Christian soul across his path. When he comes home let me remember the grace you have showed me.

Amen. How great is your faithfulness oh Lord. Thank you for calling me in the first place, that You started the good work in me when I yet know you, and You will pursue to finish that great work that You think I could be. SUCH HOPE is found only in Christ. He will preserve us (body, soul and mind) blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I can’t preserve myself. Glory be to the ONE who can and will. Have a blessed weekend sisters.

Totally needed that right here, and right now. Just felt so light when I read that. It’s so easy to get stressed, feeling like you are going to fail or like the weight of the world is ours to control. But it isn’t. Thank God for His word, His reminder and His greatness.

Ashley, My 3 children are all adopted (domestic infant adoption) and although it’s been 18 years since our oldest was born, my heart still did flip flops when you shared that you are being presented to an expectant mother this week. I know the feeling so well!! Each time we went through the process I felt the Lord leading and guiding and assuring me that he was writing the story of my life and weaving it together with the life stories of my children. I’ve been so blessed by the experience of having to lean heavily on the Lord and to grow in the ability to trust him through the way he intended to build our family. What a gift! I’m praying for you!!!

It has been amazing this week hearing about the wondrous works of our God, His capabilities, and His ferocity for His people. It is calling me to lean into believing that He is for us. He is able. He is truly our ever present help in times of need.

This week’s study has been so great. My 10 year old daughter had a dance competition last night and performed her first solo routine. She was starting to get really nervous in the middle of the week, but I kept saying Joshua 1:9 to her and praying that over her. We opened her devotional Thursday night, and the verse was Matt 28:20, “I am always with you.” Her jaw dropped! I told her that was God talking to her and that she has nothing to worry about because he will be with her. THEN, I opened my book yesterday morning and THE SAME VERSE is on the weekly reflection page… my jaw dropped! The Holy Spirit is already using this in great way in my family! I’m just so grateful! …and my daughter danced beautifully because God was with her! ♥️

Always it is amazing to remember how Faithful He is! It is by His Faithfulness, no by mine.

  28. Sharon, Jersey Girl says:

Happy Saturday ladies! The sun rose today, I have life and breath, God is in control. When He calls us to do something, He will equip us. He is faithful. He is faithful. He is faithful!

  29. Churchmouse says:

I like the certainty of this verse. There’s no equivocating. It’s direct, to the point, no nonsense, bold, confident, assured and TRUTH. It’s a brisk 28 degrees here so I will hunker down with my blanket and my Bible and bask in the knowledge that He is at work. And He is good. May we all rest in His peace this weekend.

  30. Brandy Deruso says:

  33. Tina says:

    Yes He is!

If He has called me, He will absolutely 100 PERCENT BE FAITHFUL..

What will be the point of His calling me otherwise?

    Right?

    He WILL do it..!

    But God.

    Amen.

Praying His goodness and mercy to follow you this wet weekend, wrapped in love.❤

  34. Searching says:

TINA – great post, glad it posted yesterday after approval

Along with many others that posted, the massive loss of life in the Bible and especially the Old Testament is so painful to read and nearly impossible to understand. I have to focus on God’s goodness, His mercy, His love, His omniscience, His faithfulness and believe that He is God – a good, good Father with reasons and purposes that many times (most times?) we can’t see or understand as humans. It wasn’t that long ago (pre covid though) that someone I really looked up to was fired from a leadership position in our church. I met with the pastor to ask whether that action was too harsh … his reply? “Unfortunately, no. You don’t know everything about the situation.” Even more so with God.

My heart breaks for all who turn their back on Him or refuse to acknowledge His existence, much less His greatness and are, in effect, choosing their own destruction. Praying for the lost!

  35. Maiya K says:

As a missionary to Spain, I have found it easy to fall into the trap of “worrying whether or not it’ll work out”. This could be in finances, in finding a place to live, in just about anything. However, many times God has reminded me of this- “Maiya if I have called you, I will equip you”. I ktrust my God and know that He is faithful….I’m very grateful for this. And I’m even more grateful for His patience with me to remind me when I need the reminder.

    Have a blessed weekend ladies!
