    Thankful that we can rest in God and that He loved us first..

    Praise God! We don’t need to worry about anything, He provides all our needs. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, He knows what we need. We only know what we want. We need not fear, He cares for us more than the sparrows! May our faith increase and may we not doubt, He will come through in His time! ♥️

    Churchmouse, so happy to hear of the success of Julia’s procedure! And that rainbow is just like God. I am also praying for Cynthia’s daughter Whitney that her ovarian cyst gets removed successfully and she heals quickly.
    I’ve a prayer request for my son Trey, wife Stef, and granddaughters Sofia and Olivia. They live in Egypt, also locked down for COVID. They are fine at home, where they both work online (now) for an international high school. But infections are still high there, and drastic fines for not wearing masks in public. They struggle to care for their family of girls ages 4 and 2 while still teaching and counseling students. Stef is also expecting their 3rd child, after losing one last fall to miscarriage. I pray for their continued safety, rest, and health. Also that their plans to return to the US in late September for the birth are not overly complicated by COVID. Praise God their school has approved their leaves for the birth (he teaches biology; she is a guidance counselor). Their primary purpose there is to minister Jesus to the Muslim people there. God provides for them absolutely, but this grandma still aches sometimes for their location and calling.

    Such great news, Church Mouse. I love the special kisses our father gives us: a rainbow as she arrived home! Not necessary but a special gesture from our Father❤️

    I love grace day because it gives me a chance to reflect on the reading this week, something that I don’t always have time for each day! Some takeaways from this week for me were to not place my worth in worldly possessions and wealth, because then I basically am placing my worth in this world and myself, instead of in god, and I will always fall short if I place my worth in myself. Prayer is essential to my walk with god, but so is silence! A concept I never thought of honestly. But how can I expect to hear god speaking to me if I am always talking? Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, so that I can receive righteous wisdom from god. And lastly, even Solomon, the “wisest man in the Bible” sinned and fell short of the glory of God. God does not want me to feel shameful when I am disobedient, but to repent and turn to him for forgiveness, grace, and love that he gives every time. He provides for us in our daily lives and eternally! What a blessing it is to be his child ❤️

    Isaiah 63:9,
    “In all their affliction he was afflicted,
    and the angel of his presence saved them;
    win his love and in his pity he redeemed them;
    he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.”

  11. Mari V says:

    Luke 12:22!! I love it! I love how God speaks to us just at the right time. I have food. I have a place to live. I have clothes to wear. I have what I need. Therefore (and this is interesting to say as I was talking about it yesterday), I know God is going to provide for the rest of my needs.

    Amen.

    Good morning SRT sisters! I hope you have a wonderful Saturday, and that you are able to rest in this verse today.

    I definitely needed this verse today as my fiance and I are preparing to make a cross country move for him to attend medical school amidst corona, as well as hoping to have a wedding in October. What a crazy, beautiful time! :) Any prayers would be more than appreciated, but I am thankful for these blessings and the opportunity to really put my trust in the Lord.

    Thank you ladies for being here. SRT is truly a blessing ❤️

    Churchmouse such good news! Continuing to pray for your sweet Julia. You are such a blessing to this community I count it an honour to pray.

    Praying also for the other needs mentioned yesterday that each of you can feel the tender embrace of our Jesus today.

  20. Churchmouse says:

    Dear friends, I’m humbled by the multitude of players offered for our sweet Julia. The first of three procedures is now behind her. The first went well! Results will be more evident as time goes by but the doctor is pleased. Julia was a trooper – did all that was asked of her and was rewarded with being able to go home last evening! And oh dear friends, she came home to a rainbow that appeared right over their neighborhood! “Thank you” is inadequate. Your prayers indeed were felt. I count it a privilege to pay your kindness forward by faithfully praying for your requests. Truly, we need not worry about this life when we have such a big, good God and such supportive friends. God bless you, every one.
